Towards Jiankang 3

Still, before the border guards would act on their notion that something was off would it take from a few days at best to an entire week if they didn't think much of it.

So it was still mostly up to their legs to get into the Liang Dynasty while trying not to be seen even by a random villager in a forest, or that villager would need to be silenced for good.

This place just on the border of the dynasties was of little importance to the dynasties, said by Zheng Chao, who told these bandits were only small problems.

But right now even a villager, who might see then travelling could possibly be spelling their doom by telling what he had seen to a bandit group.

A word about a small group of cultivators carrying their most important items towards the Liang Dynasty was a tempting target for a horde of bandits wandering these regions.

And inside this tropical forest, a band of forest archers would shred them into pieces before they even knew anything about them being there in the first place.

So during their run, a few people had been already silenced so that no one would ever get the word out.

Xiao Fan didn't like the idea of murdering any person for the reason that dead people don't talk, but this also applied to everyone else except to a certain person.

For Qian Ki, who was for the first time going outside Hangzhou in her life was the exception to it.

Obtaining humans who needed be killed was fantastic news for her, and so she would jump on those people as if she was a hungry lion.

Then after catching the person would she for a moment stick her daggers and needles she had on her into the person do some small rites into the trees.

Like so, she, unlike everyone else, was increasing her cultivation bit by bit while enjoying the hunt.

Xiao Fan and Du Lan were a little weirded out about her practise; however, the only thing they did about it was to hide her tracks after every ritual or sacrifice.

During one of those rituals, Xiao Fan, who was taking a break with everyone else, decided to see how she was doing.

¨Ki'er how's cultivation going?¨ Xiao Fan asked Qian Ki, who was currently draining blood out of a villager unlucky to be caught by her.

Qian Ki, watching the blood drip from the body hearing his voice turned to face Xiao Fan with a fascinating look.

Her body was shaking a little from anticipation, her eyes wide open; she clearly loved it.

¨Ahh¨ She savoured the smell of blood before speaking to him.

¨It's so amazing. I can feel my power surge of every time I do something like this. It is as if their life essence or something was drawing into me when I do this¨ She spoke.

Xiao Fan, looking at her, who after saying her sentence had then turned back to look at her sacrifice, proceeding to poke more holes into the already dead body.

¨Have you ever thought what, in reality, gives you that power from blood and slaughter?¨ Xiao Fan wasn't shaken by her actions, and as a good man would support her actions, so he also squatted next to her.

Qian Ki thought about his words for a moment before responding ¨I have never thought about that...¨ After saying this, she again turned back to him, forgetting about the body to gaze him again, wondering should he have an explanation.

¨What? I don't know either, you as the practitioner should know it much better than me¨ Although he wanted to say some solution to this he had none.

Nevertheless, his words prompted the anticipation in Qian Ki's eyes down a little.

¨Cheer up Ki'er. When we get to the Liang Dynasty we can surely start experimenting together¨ A sentence that made Qian Ki happy and excited again.

Xiao Fan noted to himself that when Qian Ki was having too much fun with her practises would the shy girl in her taken over by her primal instincts to do these things, and during those times only things which promoted the notion mattered to her.

And as Xiao Fan was noting this down to himself.

Qian Ki, the dagger in her hand, took hold of Xiao Fans hand and placed it so that both of them were holding the runic dagger of hers.

Then she moved her hand, which in tandem, moved his hand to move forward, and so did the dagger in their hand's tush pushed by both of them penetrate the body that they had been around the whole time.

When the dagger was inside the body.

Xiao Fan went with Qian Ki's wants, and so as she stared into his eyes, he to hers. He then used his own hand that was placed on the dagger to turn in around.

¨Ki'er happy?¨ Xiao Fan asked, still holding the bloodied dagger in their hands.

Qian Ki certainly looked happy.

Her eyes beamed satisfaction like a bright start in the void while her blue eyes were now showing a little bit of red advancing towards the middle from the sides.

¨Un¨ She said cutely.

And simultaneously leaning her head forward so that their foreheads were touching the other.

Qian Ki didn't have the idea why she wanted to do so, but the yearning of doing so was so immense that she couldn't help it.

Xiao Fan seeing her do this also felt elated from her showing such a show of affection to him, however, what he didn't think a lot about was a minuscule pain that hit his brain when their foreheads touched.

Right now, with her being like this with him, he didn't mind a small pain hitting his head. He was much more focused on this amazing moment.

They stayed like that for a while, the body still bleeding in the background until it was dry. Yet even when it was dried completely, they stayed so.

The two of them stayed like that until Du Lan was beginning to wonder where the two of them were, and so went to look for them.

But the thing she found dumfounded.

It wasn't a small confusion either, for even after a few minutes of watching both of them, they still had their eyes closed, their foreheads slightly touching the others.

Du Lan didn't think much about this.

She also had her own things with Xiao Fan, so she gave them time to be like that until it had passed ten or so minutes, at that point, their bodies hadn't moved at all, so it was becoming a little eerie.

Furthermore, their cute moment was starting to affect their trip since the others were waiting for the two of them to be finished before they could move forward again.

So Du Lan, not seeing anything changing in them poked Xiao Fan a little which send a shockwave in his body prompting his eyes to open and the connection he had felt with Qian Ki was severed.

Coming to the outside world.

Xiao Fan for a moment, wondered what had happened. When did Du Lan have the time come to here? ¨What? How long were we like that?¨ He asked.

Qian Ki also feeling the connection severed, gazed up to the newcomer who explained it to them ¨From what I have seen you spend a good ten minutes in that position¨

Xiao Fan and Qian Ki, hearing this were a little weirded out more.

¨What do you mean ten minutes?¨ Had he forgotten the time around them when indulging in that weird pleasure with Qian Ki?

¨Well, I don't know about you, but to everyone else here we already need to get moving so hide those things before we move¨ Du Lan didn't think there was a good explanation what had happened, so she would ponder about it when she had the time.

Now what they needed to do was hide the sacrifice and move on.

So while she left.

Xiao Fan looked back at Qian Ki and then how their hands were still holding the dagger ¨That was so weird, but also so good¨ He spoke to her, focusing back to her now clean blue eyes.

¨Hmm so good. You also feel like some of your blood went towards your forehead during that¨ Qian Ki asked him.

Xiao Fan hearing this actually realised that something like that had happened during all of that.

When they had been embracing the other, he felt his blood was flowing towards his forehead too much for it to be a random occurrence.

¨Yeah, think it has something to do with you being a spawn of evil?¨ He confirmed and made a question.

¨I hope so¨ She only replied this in a low voice as if she demanded it to be true.

¨Why do you want it to be about it?¨ He teased her a little; he already knew why she wanted it to be so.

To his teasing Qian Ki could only blush a little ¨Because it might foresee something good happening between us and my practices¨ Her voice now lowered even more.

Just when Xiao Fan was about to say something back to her he was stopped by Du Lan shouting in the distance ¨You guys the time is over already we need to get moving¨

Another warning given, Xiao Fan and Qian Ki, started covering her tracks without saying the word to the other and when it was done run to catch up with the others.

Meanwhile, Cao Cao who had been running around the forest setting up the table to make something for him to watch had also felt that small spike inside Xiao Fan's head.

Cao Cao was not a stalker; however, when one had the sensory organs and means of god, something like what had just happened wouldn't just go unnoticed by him.

The Evil God wasn't a weak god at all.

His hands reached inside every world, so Cao Cao over the millennia had tuned himself to feel situations like this happening.

Any sensible god would do so...

Maybe if this had been done in secrecy or at a great distance, it wouldn't come up within his radar. But being so close to it like now and it being completely unprotected there was no way he wouldn't detect it.

And if one could detect something, would one also most likely know what it was all about. Unluckily for him, however, it wasn't anything too special, and he had foreseen this happening at some point, maybe not this fast but anyway it would have arrived.

Cao Cao felt how a small link around the two of them had formed, this bond minute and something impossible for them to form alone.

It was only a fortuitous accident for the two.

The biggest thing even he got from this was some knowledge about the max level of Qian Ki's current abilities.

For she was still being watched and since this had happened, assisted by the particular identity.

Although him doing so was entirely on the level of automation, and he wouldn't notice this now, but at some point later, it might notice Qian Ki's progression and become interested.

What did this mean for Cao Cao?

Not much only thing he did was to place a small spell over Qian Ki that when something like that would happen again, the certain identity would again help her in those rituals, yet he wouldn't have an idea about it.

In his opinion.

The Evil God wasn't bad entirely, Cao Cao, himself was still a neutral god so he couldn't make stern opinions even concerning someone who's godhood name itself stated evil.

What was a different thing, however, was that what later he knew about Qian Ki the better, and if he would ever even note her, it should be still late as possible.

Qian Ki, on the other hand, wouldn't even have the slightest idea about this shield, she, like everyone else, was continuing their journey towards the border at a steady pace.

They had been successful in making no noise inside the forest for the first day, or so it seemed as they continued into the night.

All of them had been sleeping so well inside the shelter that they could easily run most of the way into the Liang Dynasty in one go.

Despite their good effort during that time, they had still been noted by a few groups; as mentioned before the bandit groups holding their nests here knew the terrain and knew how to hide in it too well.

Luckily for them, this group of bandits hadn't been visited yet by the Bald Eagle Dynasty members so they, for now, would be trying to ambush them alone.
