Sun who was holding her spear towards Xiao Fan finally realised that maybe Xiao Fan hadn't gone mad just yet.

For the thing, he had in his hands was a valuable herb ¨Sand Raiz?¨ She questioned.

¨See I'm not crazy¨ Xiao Fan spoke while squatting in the pit smiling upwards.

Fei Sun lowered her guard a little and slid down into the pit where Xiao Fan was happily sitting in. Sliding next to him, she took a closer look at the root or more specifically what was left of it in Xiao Fan's hand.

¨You either are really lucky or actually know where to find herbs¨ She acknowledged Xiao Fan's finding as legit.

¨Sand Raizes are easy to find if you know wherefrom to look for them¨ Xiao Fan said and threw the root in his hands to Fei Sun.

¨These things grow anywhere if there is sand and water. They aren't even that rare. This beach should have a few dozen of them¨ He spoke as he was getting out of the pit.

¨I was getting really unlucky not finding them¨ He noted when he got up the pit and begun to dig again.

Fei Sun who was now listening to the not mad but genius was warming to Xiao Fan's ideas. Although it mostly was because one of the not so rare Sand Raizes would sell for a few hundred gold coins a pop.

¨You keep doing whatever you are doing. I'll go back to watching the perimeter. The noise we made might have gotten mutants or worse human interested¨ She spoke and took a few hops back to her place.

Now that Fei Sun's trust to Xiao Fan's sanity had been repaired the operation would continue as normal.

The only thing changed was how Fei Sun was now trying to look at how Xiao Fan was doing what he was doing. She was clearly interested in the profitability of this.

Even a smile came to her face as she thought to get a few of those mortals and their families here to dig for a year or an eternity. Them mortals finding even one Sand Raiz would make it worth it.

So one eye on the surrounding and one clued on Xiao Fan, Fei Sun continued her part of the operation.

Meanwhile, as Fei Sun was thinking about how to slave a few dozen mortals, Xiao Fan got back to the first hole that he had been digging with his hands.

Where he would find the second Sand Raiz, and then going by Xiao Fan's calculations, he only needed to find four more before they could get out of this forest.

And for Xiao Fan completing that quota was an easy thing especially so after when he got the gist of it.

It was so fast that Fei Sun didn't even get much of an idea how Xiao Fan was doing it as for her it looked something like this. He would walk a few hundred steps on the beach, sit down, find a Sand Raiz. 'What?' Was her thoughts.

She didn't get how Xiao Fan was doing it at all, but oh well, the mortals would dig longer then.

When Xiao Fan had collected his San Raizes, he came to the tree where Fei Sun was hiding in and spoke ¨We're leaving this place¨

This voice found a woman jumping out of the tree ¨We need to find more things before we go back to the sect?¨ Fei Sun interprets Xiao Fan not saying we're going home as that he needs more herbs.

¨Correct. Next stop will be a mountain top preferably one which has snow covering its top¨ Xiao Fan spoke.

¨There is one place...¨ Fei Sun spoke some of it yet didn't want to tell everything.

¨I don't have the mental powers to fight with you¨ Xiao Fan reminded her about how he didn't want to argue with his current headache.

¨The place is filled with people and mutants¨ Fei Sun said shortly.

¨The better¨ Xiao Fan said.

¨You yourself said that you don't want to fight? What happened to that?¨ Fei Sun asked after hearing that Xiao Fan wanted to throw himself into some casual fighting.

¨We're not going to fight. We're going bone hunting, and more bones the better¨ Xiao Fan spoke, his decision final.

Xiao Fan needed to harvest some of that enhanced bone that every cultivator and monster had.

However, this didn't sit well with Fei Sun ¨What? You want to use human bones in some concoction?¨ She exclaimed.

Using human bones to heal oneself? That was some demonic shit to her.

¨Whatever you say. I don't see the line anyway¨ Xiao Fan knowing that she might not like his idea stated his own opinion.

¨I now see how you get so well together with that Qian Ki girl¨ She spoke, yet didn't argue more about the bone collecting plan.

Neither did Xiao Fan say anything more, but he did think that it was little hypocritical of Fei Sun to think like this. She was okay with slaving mortals, but at the same time felt that using bones to heal and cultivate was wrong.

Nevertheless, the two people with different opinions then made their way back to the horses and left towards the mountain that Fei Sun knew about.

Getting there sure took some time as they rode on small paths and such to get there.

Still, it didn't take a whole day because when the night was settling in Xiao Fan could see a mountain with a snowy top. A perfect place thought Xiao Fan.

¨Lets not get any closer today¨ Fei Sun spoke to Xiao Fan, who was behind her back.

However, Xiao Fan had different ideas ¨What we're about to do would be much better during the night¨

Fei Sun thinking about this agreed quite quickly ¨Sure¨ She said and whipped the horses back to running.

¨If we would be ripping bones of people during the day people who roam the mountains would surely become suspicious¨ Xiao Fan explained about his reasoning.

He knew that Fei Sun might be willing with it, but what about something like the people from the White Sun Sect? Surely those guys would try to rip Xiao Fan's bones off if they ever saw him doing this.

His explaining also got Fei Sun to feel that it was better to do this during the night.

Now again in agreement, they rode upwards the mountain slope with their horses until getting higher with them became infeasible.

¨Leave the horses here¨ Xiao Fan said and jumped off the horse.

Continuing their walk upwards in the moonlight, Xiao Fan noted how although being in robes, he didn't feel any cold.

Cultivating sure is handy, he thought and continued upwards until they came to the border where bare rock met snow.

¨Now we need to look for signs of battle¨ Xiao Fan explained to the girl who also had her usual amount of clothing, yet wasn't feeling cold at all.

Fei Sun nodded and then begun to run around with Xiao Fan in the snow looking for any sword or spear tip poking out from the snow.

¨This place sure is filled with the battle!¨ Xiao Fan just after moments shouted.

The weather condition around them was so bad that Fei Sun needed to shout back to Xiao Fan ¨They say that this mountain hides treasure. This draws cultivators from all around the Bald Eagle Dynasty here¨

This talk was going on while when they were getting their first harvest of bodies. They had found this site in minutes, so Xiao Fan was sure that this place had a lot to offer.

¨How many did you get?¨ Xiao Fan asked Fei Sun when they met up close again.

¨I found four spines. What about you?¨ Fei Sun asked.

¨I only found two plus the mutant's, who most likely had killed these people¨ Xiao Fan spoke about his haul.

¨How many do we need?¨ Fei Sun asked the critical question.

¨This place has so much to offer, so I would like to fill our bags to the brim¨ He said.

Fei Sun felt his bag a little and decided it shouldn't be too hard ¨Then let's go before anything, or anyone realises we're here¨

¨Good thing you agree¨ Xiao Fan said before they sped off the battle site towards another one. Every time he was picking them up could he already see the next target.

The mountain had had so many people killed on its slopes that this place was perfect for this. Furthermore, finding so many bodies in excellent condition was due to the cold preserving the bones.

Xiao Fan gathering them was already happily imagining what all he could do with these bones.

He and Fei Sun could simply go from body to body ripping out the spine, which was the best part of a cultivator's body and leaving the rest there, as due to the current abundance of bodies, they didn't need to gather anything else.

And during the cover of night, he didn't need to fear that any human could see him doing this.

However, that didn't mean that the mutants would leave him alone at least not these wolfs who had been stalking Xiao Fan and Fei Sun for a moment.

Maybe a human couldn't see too well in here even with the help of cultivation enhancing their sight; however, wolfs who were in the same situation could still smell what was going on.

Their smelling that was enhanced to a ridiculous degree gave them a plentiful amount of information that told someone or something was doing something in the middle of the night.

In their territory and during their ruling hours? Now that was a big mistake.

The first thing Xiao Fan and Fei Sun knew about these wolfs was when Fei Sun, who was keeping an eye on Xiao Fan saw that a few wolfs were eyeing on him.

But seeing that they hadn't jumped on Xiao Fan, who was happily picking up bones from the bodies, she didn't panic and yell at him.

She wouldn't lose the only chance to group with him. She would instead be slowly going from body to body towards Xiao Fan's location.

The wolfs waiting for the best opportunity had seen Fei Sun, yet they didn't know they were spotted by her, giving her the time to make her way towards Xiao Fan.

When she then felt that she was close enough to Xiao Fan, she took the spear that her current target of spine removal was still clutching onto.

The spear wasn't a body weapon to her luck as in that case she couldn't have thrown it like she could the normal spear.

After calming herself, she ripped the spear out and practically with the same motion threw it at the wolfs.

When the spear had left her hand towards the top of the ridge, Xiao Fan was below of she finally screamed ¨Xiao Fan get inside the cave now!¨

She also made her own way quickly as she could in this snow towards the cave opening Xiao Fan was in front of.

¨What?¨ Xiao Fan shouted back. He had heard Fei Sun shouting, but the snowstorm around them had suppressed the message of the shout.

¨Get inside!¨ Fei Sun shouted again together with her free hand pointing into the cave behind him.

Xiao Fan still didn't get the idea. However, seeing how Fei Sun was acting, he dropped his bag full of bones and drew out his sword.

There was no good reason for her to be like this.

It was the right decision since the next thing he knew was how around him thumps could be heard around him.

Something had jumped upon him! His mind sent out warning signals to him.

His vision now blocked for a moment due to the amount of snow blown on him he took steps towards the cave entrance.

When he got to the mouth of the cave, he looked into the snowstorm wherefrom; the first thing he saw coming at him was Fei Sun.

With her spear that had already drawn blood.

Seemingly from some white-furred wolfs he realised as a few were coming just behind her from the snowstorm into the cave.

Besides, whilst Fei Sun's character had been seen by him amongst the snow for it being a different colour, these wolfs had gone unnoticed by him until their open mouths came inside the cave.
