Getting out of the underground complex with the two Chiefs by his sides could Xiao Fan at least sigh in relief that he wouldn't be killed. 'The armistice has lasted, for now.' He noted,
First things first he under the eyes of everyone went towards Wang Geming so that he could inform his liege on how the coming week or so would play out.
"Did you find out what was causing that red smoke?" Before Xiao Fan could start, Wang Geming asked what he wanted and what the others around him wanted to know.
"It was a demonic cultivator going by the name Qian Wei." He will not say a spawn of devil, but a demonic she was, no doubt.
"Qian Wei? You mean Qian Ki" He asked, not hoping he would be correct.
"Whatever you want to call her." Xiao Fan said with a smile. 'Try to call her that.' His message was clear.
"She's here? Why is she here!" Before they got to say more, the other Royals around them were confused as to why Qian Ki would have come here. They were Royals, but they still knew the name ¨Ki¨ Very well.
"I asked her this." Xiao Fan calmed down the Royals starting to question and whisper amongst themselves. "She said that she was here like everyone else, looking for her fortune."
"She's behind this?" Wang Geming, who faired better than the others asked; he felt that he didn't need to fear Qian Ki like everyone else did.
"She is. And to stop this, she demands a ransom."
"That is not hard to come by." Wang Geming hearing that the problem could be solved by paying wasn't fearful at all anymore.
"So you really do things like this more often." Duan Hon, who had been next to Xiao Fan the whole time spoke out.
"Yes." Wang Geming replied. "-oh, why are you here?" He then realised that these two Chiefs wouldn't be here for no reason.
"We have come to an agreement. Mask and that girl will come to our capital Ulaanbaatar to discuss our payment while my brother and I will be at your care." Duan Hon stated the terms.
"So you two will be in my hands while Mask and that girl are at your hands, I get it, and accept." Wang Geming saw no bad coming out from this.
"You aren't going to take us into consideration?" The Eleventh Prince was at it again.
"There is no way that you will disagree." Wang Geming saw zero reasons to ask them.
"Still, you can't go and bypass us all" He wasn't, but simply wanted his piece of the cake.
"Does anyone disagree with my decision." Wang Geming got his point and then consulted the others, who unsuspectedly had no one disagreeing, 'That was a waste of time.' He thought at the end.
"By the way, where is she?" As they had all gotten their fill of feeling important, The Sixth Princess asked where Qian Ki was?
"Qian Ki stated to us that she would be coming out in a minute." Xiao Fan gave the answer to her.
Around that time there also came a figure out of that underground complex they had all been into a ten or so minutes ago. And as everyone had heard that the calamity herself would be coming out did they all have their eyes on the figure.
'Oh yeah, she was only that forward because of the thing.' Xiao Fan noted thing that no one else knew. The Qian Ki coming out off the tunnel was very much so a shy one, who certainly didn't like to be a focal point of thousands or so eyes.
"Ki..." Someone from the Holy Coalition was trying to get people to kill her on the spot now that they had the chance, but a couple of second on her figure made them rethink. Even the Bald Eagle Dynasty troops weren't completely sane.
However, the men being like this didn't help Qian Ki coming towards Xiao Fan a lot, she didn't like this feeling at all.
"We have a deal. No one is going to break that." Xiao Fan seeing this seemed to ease her fears, though his words had no value, the easing came from the fact that he was the speaker.
"Better be, or I'll never stop." She still tried to sound tough.
While they started to discuss a few things through with her, there was one person amongst here who had the most questions on her mind, Zhuan An.
Zhuan An might have been in her morning robes when Xiao Fan had left the room, but by the time they were leaving was she set, and of course, went with them to look for Xiao Fan, not at her love rival, 'She's one of his women? Hmm.' She had much to think about when seeing Qian Ki. Her Rising Fox Sect side said to get rid off her or push her down with everything she got, yet the maiden in her said to co-exist and try to befriend her.
'Maybe I should try and see how she is? If she is really bad, then I'll get rid of her?' She was leaning to fuse those two sides of her into one, 'I can't compare...' There was also the usual that a woman in her spot would think of, the looks, and that category, Zhuan An couldn't but feel lesser...
More wondering.
Back to Xiao Fan, who was in the middle of this three-way discussion. He was having a hard time since he needed to keep the side playing nice and not to start another fight or kill Qian Ki before she could run into the complex for cover.
Thankfully by the minute, it came clearer that neither the Holy Coalition nor the Bald Eagle Dynasty wanted to tarnish their reputation in front of the others.
'Thank the Gods that these people value their lives so much.' Xiao Fan knew why they were so scared of losing any amount of trustworthiness. The reason was that they simply wanted to keep it high so that if they were ever in a pickle like inside that complex, they could have a way out.
"Does anyone want to say anything before we continue our own ways?" At the end, when everything was coming together, Xiao Fan asked if anyone wanted to go through anything.
"No, we are fine." The Holy Coalition Chiefs who had now all gathered behind the Duan brothers were okay with the deal.
"Our side doesn't either, but I would like to talk to Mask in private." Wang Geming stated the same with a twist at the end.
"Go for it." The two other sides saw nothing wrong in this.
"I'll bring him back soon." Wang Geming then took a few hundred running steps with Xiao Fan so that they were out of the reach of anyone listening.
When so "You sure of this?" He asked the obvious.
"Of course, I don't like doing this, but I'll be fine." He spoke truthfully.
"I can get someone else to go" Wang Geming really, really didn't want Xiao Fan to be in danger.
"I'll be fine. I haven't even yet told you that I even met their leader during the first battle and survived." He hadn't spoken of his meeting with the Hag yet since there had been no time. Also, he wanted to visit Fei Sun and at the same time catch up with Qian Ki. He had many reasons to go and few not to.
"You have met their leader? Who?" Wang Geming had a major interest in this as they didn't even know who their leader was, 'Weren't they a coalition?'
"It's the gramma that knows Voice Cultivation. She's he one leading these brutes to some effect." Xiao Fan told what he knew.
"You have talked to her?"
"Maybe I have made a small beneficial deal with her." He smiled the tiniest bit when saying this.
It might have been the tiniest smile ever, yet Wang Geming could perceive said smile. "Oh, tell me."
"She will not be so angry towards us and will communicate with us, nothing major, but is an advantage on the others nonetheless."
"It might sound small, yet it is a big thing. First steps are always the hardest." Sure the deal they had was small; however, it was an ice breaker, and from there they could make more, ones that actually matter.
"Anything on your mind" Xiao Fan also knew this, and so asked what could the bigger deal mean.
"Exotic goods, of course, things that the Ohin Continent hasn't seen, something that has no fixed value when we bring it back."
"I'll see what I can do" Xiao Fan got the idea. 'Make something they don't know, then trade that for something we have no idea of, yes, yes, yes.' His head was already forming the plan as they talked.
"Good. Now go and have fun with your girl" There was nothing more to talk about here, to him, Xiao Fan had everything in control. 'He isn't known for doing stupid things. Good that he is on my side.'
Then as they were leaving, a new figure came over to them, and as Wang Geming saw her, he sped off even faster while Xiao Fan stopped in himself in a fraction of a second.
"Are you going without me?" It was Zhuan An, who had come over to them, so Wang Geming got to go.
"I don't want to take you there. Too dangerous." He explained.
"Is that what you told the Second Prince?" She wasn't buying "-or is that what you told me so you can..." She didn't say it till the end.
But Xiao Fan knew how it would end. "You got me." And there was not much he could say.
"I'll be coming with you then." 'This way I'll get to say my mind to Fei Sun as well.' She had a few words she wanted to exchange with her best friend.
"Okay, but remember, don't start talking too much with Qian Ki yet... She might not be at the stablest yet..." If Zhuan An was coming with him, he wanted to warn her about Qian Ki, as who knows how she will react.
"She has something? Other than that?" Zhuan An got most of it.
"Yes and no. It ties into that, so until you see that her eyes are totally blue, no red... don't talk."
"Got it." Zhuan An acted like she got it, acted as in how she would use it was up to her.
"Let's get going then." 'Thankfully, she is so understandable. How is Du Lan? If Qian Ki is here, it is more than likely that Du Lan would have come here with Qian Ki.' Now that there was little time to think of other things, he realised this. '-most likely she's doing fine, and as things are going it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that the stars will align themselves for me to find her in no time.' He trusted his luck that had been so good so far.
When he had thought so much, they were already back to the meeting spot that was inhabited by a few people anymore.
'Who is she?' One of the few people, however, was Qian Ki, who had this to think when Xiao Fan came back with a woman who was staring at him more than anything else.
"She will be coming with us." Xiao Fan explained to Duan Hon and Duan Han, who were also at the spot.
"That isn't our problem" Duan Han spoke.
"Yeah, it's Duan Hin's problem now." Duan Hon then added in.
"I'm Duan Hin, nice to meet you" Another man who seemed way over his cultivation came up.
"How many of your brothers there are? And why are you all Chiefs?"
"Our father was a Chief, and we as his children inherited equally." Duan Hin explained.
