Volume I : The king's mark

Prologue

There is an infinite number of possibilities, each with its own world.

Imagine a realm full of dragons, elves, and other fantastic beings...

Of course, some worlds are more advanced than ours, while others are medieval. But a danger threatens them all. Not primordial chaos, for it is part of these worlds, but the condensation of all thoughts, actions, and consequences generated by a single species: MAN. This threat takes the most unpleasant form possible, one that wields great power and influences fate. Unfortunately, only one can hope to defeat it: the Dragon King, the personification of a god. But nothing is as simple as it seems. Let us call this evil Chaos, for it seeks to reduce all possibilities to one primordial chaos, spreading suffering and bringing about the end of every living being.

Ironically, the only way for Chaos to increase its power and ensure its cause grows exponentially is by targeting the one species completely free of it: the dragons.

In their main world, these majestic beings are well aware of this threat. To prevent this calamity, they have sealed these emotions within the humans of their world and bear a mark to increase their powers: the mark of kings and their adjutants.

Only a few chosen ones possess these marks.

The operation of these marks is explained later in the story.

Dragons can take on three forms without using magic.

One form is regulated by the mark, another is unlocked as they mature into adulthood, increasing in power, clarity, and beauty as they approach one of the conditions for completing the mark.

Normal dragons are content with the completion of the second form, their semi-dragon shape.

At a young age, after hatching, they take on a humanoid appearance, except for their eyes and ears. The mark appears for about ten minutes and then disappears, reappearing when the time is right.

At the beginning of the story, Chaos is nearly at its goal, but one or two dragons in the royal family know of this: the queen and the king.

They 're shaking in fear...
