 For as long as Jason can remember, he has been a killer. Raised as a child soldier, he was trained in the arts of murder as a mercenary, an assassin, and a bodyguard. In short, his life was anything but dull. Yet his greatest wish was to live a normal life, date a normal girl, have a moment to breathe and relax. His wish was to be a normal boy, no, a real boy and not some weapon. But his thirst for strength led him to the path of both the scientifically psychic world and the mystically supernatural world.

 One day, he is entrusted to protect a young girl whose entire family was murdered. Two years after taking her as his sister, Jason tries to lead a life that's as normal as possible in the most technologically advanced city in the world, Sanctuary. However his newfound freedom is threatened when his past comes to haunt him, and his hunger to join the extraordinary life once more begins to consume him. As enemies from both the worlds of supernatural and science come crashing down upon him, Jason must make a choice, and choose which life he'd rather have. An uneventful, normal life. Or the life of the impossible, where dog eats dog, and only the strongest survive.

Immortals: The Curse of Samsara

Yep, just like the title suggest, this is a rant. But also an explanation as to why I chose to change some social norms in my story. First, let's talk about what's pissing me off. Recently, I came across a YouTube video, y'know, the kind that you see and go "oh, angry right wing ranting again". But this time, it was different. This time, the title of the video got my attention and I decided to check it out. And to say I was shocked, is an understatement.


Turns out, Netflix is releasing a new upcoming original movie, which I had never heard of, called Cuties. Probably cause it was an international movie from France. But, and this is the real kicker, the movie was about 11 year old girls, fu*king kids for crying out loud, TWERKING. Let me repeat that so it sinks in (and also cause webnovel might censor it): 11 YEAR OLD GIRLS joining a TW*RKING COMPETITION. That was the description of the movie. And the poster? Disgusting. Showing fu*king kids in provocative outfits in a disgustingly sex*al style that screams pedo. Even the title of the movie is sick. Now, I didn't exactly believe the YouTube video and did some research but guess what? It was all true. Worse, THE ACTORS ARE 11 YEAR OLDS TOO.


WTF is wrong with people? How can you make of movie of this? Why would you do that? I don't have kids, but my sisters do and I would never want those kids to do anything like that. Never. Not until they're 20 ... or 22. You get the idea. And this isn't because of some religious thing or whatever the fu*k Netflix said in response, it's just how degenerate how society is becoming; that we accept the sex*alization of children, of young girls.


And to be completely honest, I actually wanted to portray that in my story. How we accept these things, things that aren't right. Jason's relationship with Elizabeth when he was young and naive, teenagers becoming adults at the age of sixteen and having legally consensual s*x at the age of 14 instead of 16 ... it's just not right. (Jason's situation is a little different though. Not only is he never taught to be a child, he's also a reincarnated person, so he never acted like a child. Regardless, the consequences and effect of such a relationship is also apparent to even his psych, forget about a normal child).


And WTF man, why is there even a competition like this for kids? Which parent would even allow their kids to do this? To become targets for predators? I can't ... I don't know what to say. All I can ask of you is to go to the trailer Netflix released and downvote it. Show them that this is unacceptable. That we are better than this.
