©Sorry about the chapter title but I really had to do it for the memes bruh, ecks dee. Anyways I've been reading nihonkoku shoukan and it's the second novel I read after "only I level up" ®

It was eerily quiet but the blinding and hot rays of the sun removed the eerie atmosphere however, if it was night then it would be a completely different story. Since it was too hot, Ferris walked along the sidewalks where the unusually tall buildings provided plenty of shade, for a world with swords, magic and perhaps guns as well, the scale and looks of the structures built was decently modern.

It seems that the streets and buildings looked clean, even at panic the residents seemed to have taken their time packing. Doors to restaurants, markets, blacksmiths or whatever shop the capital had were locked to keep out any thieves that might steal from them. Police in the form of basic guard men was still to be seen but in short numbers, the only thing living other than soldiers and guards were the birds vibing on the streets.

The wide glass of the shops showcased their interior but no one was to be seen working inside. He took his time walking to enjoy the scenery, he didn't stop for a break so slowly but surely he finally made his way towards the outer walls. Was it just him or was the outer walls way bigger and grander than the capital walls of Gracia, he admired the imposing feeling of the wall, after looking at it for quite a while he heard soldiers cheering at something.

In the distance were a massive formation of stormy clouds, even if it was far they could clearly hear the loud thunder vibrating through their bodies. The soldiers may experience some wet weather but atleast they will finally have the chance to cool off from what the hot sun did to their now steaming bodies.

The majority of the army were inside the Guild headquarter buildings, due to the large size and the large number of guild buildings, the army could be easily stored. Army morale was high, the air conditioning the buildings provided soothed the army from the heat of the sun. However, one of the thousands of platoons in the army were missing someone very important and crucial for the battle that's about to come.

"where the hell is our platoon captain?!"

"I don't know bro"

The vice captain seemed very frustrated, and ordered every member inside their platoon to search the entire building, it did take them three hours to fully search it but they didn't make any big progress. Soon, the vice captain remembered something he missed.

"I know where that horny fuck is... Hey! Get me my wyvern I'm flying to the castle!"

Even though the vice captain was talking trash about his missing captain, he still respected him because of his strength but he was sure as hell pissed because of his absence.

He rode his magestic and massive poison wyvern, her head was almost as big as the vice captain's body and her wings were close to the size of modern passenger airplanes. It was a freak of nature but to the eyes of the many, she was as beautiful as she was deadly, her hide was mesmerizing, her sleek and yet powerful wings gave of immense power, her body was overflowing with mana, and her teeth and claws were polished, sharpened and cleaned. It didn't took him too long to reach the castle, the majestic wyvern he rode which was massive smoothly landed.

"stay here girl, now behave until I get back alright?" the vice captain said while strongly patting it in the neck

The wyvern then key out a scary but soothing growl, she then rubbed her large head against the vice captain's body it probably translated to" I'll be waiting". she was pretty big for a female wyvern but she held back her massive strength by not even pushing back the vice captain an inch with her massive head.

The vice captain then made his way inside the castle looking for his captain, he was confidently sure that the captain was here so he instantly gathered some Intel about his last location.

"have you seen my platoon captain Seiga?" he asked one of the guards

"oh! That famous Seiga? Yes I saw him with someone, i think they're at the librarian's quarters from what I have heard"

"I fucking knew it.. where is it exactly?"

"down that hallway then up that fleet of stairs, when you reach the top floor you'll instantly see a large door and I'm pretty sure that's the librarian's quarters"

"thank you"

He then followed the directions given to him with speed, he then approached the fleet of stairs. Before climbing it he looked up to see how high it went up it was, and it was "very" high up. However he was too impatient to climb it so he used a rather unconventional way of doing it, the stairs went up in a spiral pattern so there was a huge hole in the middle, he jumped towards the outer railings of the stairs, then the next upper railings skipping two laps of stairs, he then jumped towards the next one, then the next, then the next, then the next. He did it without fail and he did it like a master ninja or a frog that happened to be really good at hopping.

He did the final jump and he finally reached the librarian's quarters which was unnecessary high up at the castle. He walked towards the door and slowly opened it to find an empty living room, some of the walls were literally made up of book cases upon book cases. In the middle was two large sofas with a coffee table at the middle, it had a very very large window covering the entire wall, similar to the windows you see on skyscraper apartments, it was a rather beautiful living room with a cozy atmosphere and a big view on the capital.

It was an interesting sight to see a fully armored fantasy soldier to be on a modern skyscraper like apartment, even if it had a beautiful view on the capital's tall and somewhat modern buildings he didn't even bother to take atleast a single view.

What he noticed was something weird, at the ground there was a green bra that was decently sized and a few women's clothes as well, there was also a pair of green panties he picked up but it was slightly wet ©( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)®. The trail of clothes and underwear made a path towards a slightly open door, he then grew even more pissed at the sight he saw and was ready to bust open that door like a serial killer.
