Escape

"You can run but you cannot hide!"

In an unknown location and time

"Run... hide... cannot... challenges... stronger." wheezed the voice once more as it observed what was happening in the world.

Location: Germany Heidelberg, Classroom

Time: Year one of the Era of change Era: The Era of change

"What are we going to do!?" asked Steven desperately.

"There has to be another way out of here," announced Michael as he was thinking of a way to get out of the classroom.

"Yeah, but how? The door is blocked with a thick wall of ice," remarked Evelyn softly while also trying to think of a solution.

"Ugh! I cannot believe those bastards! What was going on with them? If it weren't for them, we wouldn't be in this situation!" roared Phillip in an angry and irritated voice.

"Well, how about we…" just as Steven wanted to suggest something.

"Boom! Agh!"

"What the... what's going on?" gasped Steven.

"Seems like James and our previous classmates are doing something downstairs with our other schoolmates," replied Michael sadly with furrowed eyebrows.

"Well, there's no point worrying about them now. We first must get out of this situation. Oh no! Look at that! The beasts are now in front of the building!"

"Hmmm.... guys I have an idea!" said Evelyn with an excited voice.

"Ok we're listening," croaked Steven, Michael, and Phillip desperately.

"Well, my idea is…" as Evelyn was explaining her idea, the beasts did not just sit and wait for her to finish, the monstrous beasts had their own tactics.

Location: Bottom floor in front of the school entrances

"Aaah!" "No! Help!" "Leave me alone!" Screams could be heard everywhere as people were being chased, eaten, or just killed by the savage beasts.

"Hmmm seems like my plan worked. Looks like we only attracted the stupid beasts. The rest of the smarter monsters are just observing," laughed James with a smug smile.

"Who knew that those monsters would have such smart beasts in their midst?" replied Penelope.

"Well at least we managed to get rid of most of our obstacles," announced one of the male students with green hair, in their group.

"But how we are going to get rid of those smart beasts now and look, there are even some students who didn't fall into our trap!" declared one of the girls with bright pink hair.

"Troublesome indeed... Hmmm... ah... good, exceptionally good!" announced James as if he had just produced a solution to their current problems.

"What's going on James?" asked Penelope with a confused tone.

"Do you not see where those beasts are looking at?" urged James with a menacing smile.

As the other students looked at where the beats were looking at, they finally realised something.

"The direction of our classroom, of course!" answered a student.

"Where Steven, Phillip, Michael and Evelyn are," replied the other student.

"Exactly! Now I have an idea of how can get out of here! But we're going to need some help," explained James with another grim smile taking over his face.

Location: Classroom

"Alright, that idea is actually pretty good! "

"Hey! Actually… It's a great idea!" responded Evelyn.

"Well, it isn't like we have any better ideas, right?" answered Steven.

"Well let's hurry…" just as Phillip wanted to continue.

"Sh---!"

They saw that a small group of beasts were walking in their direction.

"Ah, we're going to have to hurry, but at least they don't have a direct path to the classroom window, right?" remarked Phillip in a joking yet slightly frightened tone.

Just as he said that a huge road of stone and ice appeared like a pathway right in front of the beasts, leading to their windows.

"..."

"You just had to say that!" screamed Evelyn with an incredibly angry voice.

"It's not like I knew that would happen!" defended Phillip as he tried to protect himself from their glares.

"Well, whoever's fault it is, we don't have any time now. Evelyn let's start with your idea!" called Steven seeing the beasts slowly heading their way on the path made of ice and stone.

"Okay!"

"Can we go over the plan just one more time please!?" urged Michael in a slightly nervous tone.

"Sigh... all right! Now that you, me, and Phillip have awesome stronger bodies, we can all three hold on to Steven and hold onto the railings or even the walls if we have to. Then when we are at the edge of the school building, we can jump right onto the tall trees. We can then jump into the river, where we then swim to the other side and get the hell out of here!"

"Alright I understand, let's do this!" stated Michael with a frightened yet firm voice.

The group carefully started walking on the railings while holding onto Steven. Just as they reached the edge, they saw the creatures had noticed what they were up to. They were now rushing in their direction, racing in speed unimaginable. Clawing and jumping in ways they thought were impossible.

"We will have to jump directly into the river if we want to escape those beasts!" shouted Phillip as he saw them getting closer and closer.

"Go, go, go! Seems like we have no choice!" yelped Steven. They all immediately jumped into the river, falling, and splashing into the ice-cold, current. They all emerged through the water's surface, desperately searching for air, only to realise that Steven didn't have a new and stronger body and that he was still the plain old normal Steven.

"Oh no! Steven!" screeched Evelyn as she saw Steven now unconscious and drifting in the opposite direction.

"Crap! The beasts aren't stopping!" shouted Phillip as he saw the beasts now standing in front of the river zeroing their sights on Steven. "But that doesn't matter now. Let's get Steven, those beasts will most probably forget about us!" spluttered Phillip as he was now swimming in the direction of where Steven was drifting slowly towards where the monstrous creatures were waiting.

"Ugh! I don't like the feeling of this..." uttered Michael as he now also swam into the direction of Steven.

As the three of them swam towards Steven they came up with a plan to get themselves and their friend out of the unfortunate situation. They couldn´t realise that these beasts would not stop and that no matter what, they would follow them to the ends of time. These abnormal beings would bring them through many interesting and dangerous escapades.

In a small old building

"Phew! We managed to escape," croaked Penelope.

"Yeah! I told you my plan would work. So, how are going to continue my friends?" remarked James as he looked at the group of students that joined and helped them escape the group of beasts.

"I think you and I both know what's going to happen now, James," answered a boy with golden, shimmering hair. His appearance was one to remember. His whole face became very handsome as his smile spread across it.

"Ugh! Fine!" replied James now regretting making a deal with this boy and his group.

"Hehe... this is going to be fun" chuckled the boy with golden, silver hair.
