New Friends

I changed my clothes back to the adventurer clothes and put back all the other world equipment: fatigues, tactical rig, and the guns in that tree.

I told the beastkin to stay near the horses. I even gave my dagger to the female one.

I cleaned my face with [Water] spell and wore back my armor that Sir Alex give.

I walked back to the horse and look at both of them, dirty and unorganized, just like I expected from a slave.

Me? I'm not a slave. I'm a servant. A slave doesn't get paid and face some harsh treatment.

A Servant is just like an ordinary employee. They're getting paid and have human rights, but young madam treats me like a friend rather than a servant.

I approached them and smiled, "both of you got two option. Either work for my master as a servant or live as freely as you want, but if I were you, I would choose the first option."

They were silent, the female one started to open her mouth, "Thank... first" she said

I thought she has never been talking to anyone without getting punished. I felt sorry for her.

"Ssshh, be quiet for now, ok. I understand if you can't speak now," I said while putting my index finger on her lips.

She nodded. I think the other one is either her friends or her brother because they look similar.

"Ok, let's go," I said.

The horse ran at a decent speed. Both of them fell asleep. The road between the town and the forest was dominated by grassland.

When I arrived at the city gate, Albert greeted me again, "Have you turned into a cannibal Wilson?" He asked while pointing his sword towards me.

"Lower that weapon, Albert! I rescue these people from the forest," I replied from the top of the horse.

"Oh, so you don't bring any hunt today? Sir Alex is going to be mad," he said as he sheathed his sword.

"Well, at least I didn't arrive with my hands empty. If he wants food, I can cut the horse," I said

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Welcome back, Wilson," as he let me pass.

"Thanks, Albert," I said.

"Don't mention it," as he waved his hand.

I arrived at the mansion gate. I got greeted by two-person that showed their angry face.

"Wilson, you're late," Sir Alex said.

"Where have you been? It's almost dark. Who are they?" Elena asked me.

"They are slaves that I rescued from the forest," I said confidently.

Sir Alex got surprised by the statement, "Slaves? Aren't they usually heavily guarded? What did you do to them? How about the noble that supervise them?" He bombarded me with questions.

Thinking of the way to answer the question, I came up with a simple word, "no eyewitnesses."

"Oh my god! What did you do to them?" Elena asked me.

"Well, a bit of clang clang and pew pew," I said to her while smiling.

"Well, what are you going to do to them?" Sir Alex asked me.

"I think I will make them our servants, we pay with providing them with food, clothes, and home," I told him.

Sir Alex nodded, "good idea, your solution is cheap and affordable. We have a lot of empty room after all, but who is going to be their mentor?"

"I will be their mentor. I will teach them how to be a good bodyguard and servant," I said while raising my thumb to him.

"Ok, fair enough," he told me.

"Now, excuse me, sir," I guided the horse to the stable.

I tied the horse, and I saw Maria sitting in a chair near a water fountain. I guided the beastkin to follow me.

I cover Maria's eyes from behind the chair, "guess who?"

"Wilson, cut it out," she put my hands down.

"Look, what I bring here," as I presented the beastkin to her.

"Oh my god! Wilson, are you planning to eat them?" as she tried to cast a spell to me.

Holy moly, why everyone thinks that my hunt is this beastkins. If they want food, I can give them the horse meat for god sakes.

"No, of course not," I said.

"What is your name?" She asked the female one.

"My name is Cecile, and my friend name is Garth," she said shyly, a little bit flustered.

I pulled Garth as far away from Cecile, "Look, we are in the same boat for now, so tell me. Could you speak?"

He started to open his mouth slowly, " I could."

"Do you know about the metal rod that I used right?" I interrogated him.

"Yes," he seemed to be scared of me.

"Don't tell anyone about that! I'm warning you," I said with an authoritative gesture.

"I understand," he said.

Returning to my natural smile, "I better clean you first. Let's go to my room."

He followed me to my room. I told him to take a bath, I gave him my towel and sent him to the bathroom.

I waited until he finished cleaning himself. I heard the sound of splashing water coming from the bathroom.

Garth was standing in front of the bathroom door, only wearing a piece of towel. There were a lot of scars on his body.

"Can you wear my uniform? It's in the wardrobe," as I pointed my finger to the wardrobe.

"Ok," he said as I left the room.

I walked around and saw Cecile already wearing her maid uniform. The maid uniform was a genuine Victorian maid uniform. She looked cute wearing that dark blue uniform contrast with her white hair.

"Hey Wilson, look at her. Isn't she gorgeous?" Maria poked my body.

"Absolutely, her hair fits perfectly with the dark color of the uniform. She looked more honorable, too," I complimented her.

"Thanks for the compliment, master," Cecile bowed down to me.

"SHE is your master. NOT me," I told her.

Maria hit my head, "Damn it, Wilson, do you have to be that harsh?"

"Sorry, I'm just joking," I answered while smiling.

Garth came out from my room with my butler outfit. I think he combed his hair. He looked as honorable as Cecile. His black hair matched his black suit with a tie. He looked more handsome now.

"Pleasure to meet you, young miss," he said.

I grabbed him, "This is my apprentice, and his name is Garth."

"Nice to meet you, Garth," Maria said.

"Garth, Cecile, go to the kitchen! Help my mother cook dinner," I told them while pointing at the kitchen direction.

They both ran to the kitchen, leaving Maria and me.

"Why did you send them to the kitchen?" She scratched her hair, looking for an explanation.

"Let's talk about this somewhere else," as I pointed my hand to the chair near the water fountain.

"Ok," Maria followed me to the fountain. Leaving the hallway.
