Plan For Tonight

I opened my eyes and saw an orange sky from the window. I wondered how long I have passed out. That damn Maria shot me with a rubber bullet.

I walked out of bed and felt an intense headache on my head. I felt dizzy, so I summoned a tablet of Tylenol on my hand then chugged it down with a glass of water.

I opened the door of my room, then I went downstairs and saw my fireteam was having a conversation in the table near the window.

"Good afternoon, Wilson," Garth asked me with such an annoying smile that made me want to punch him in the face.

"Good afternoon, dumb bastard," I replied angrily.

"Wilson, you don't have to be that salty," Maria laughed at me.

"When your best friend and your own master tried to kill you without any real reason, I should question myself why I don't kill all of you right now," I growled.

Maria stuck her fluffy chest on my right hand, "Wilson, can you forgive us, please?" She begged to me with shining eyes.

"Fine," I said as I pulled a chair on the table.

"What is the solution that you injected on our bodies this morning? That as sure as hell wasn't morphine, was it?" Cecile asked me.

"It was adrenaline," I said to her.

"Oh, I see," She responded.

We discussed our plan for this afternoon because tomorrow is the first day we will be entering the academy. Garth suggested us to hunt some monsters with our gun, Cecile suggested us to go stargazing, and Maria suggested us to see the academy beforehand.

"Settle down everyone, don't make me stop all of you are arguing at each other," I shouted to them.

"Why don't we go stargazing? It will be fun, Grass, some drink and the beautiful skies," Cecile said

"Of course, I don't agree. We must hone our combat skills by killing monsters in the grassland," Garth argued.

"Why don't we see our school, After all, Wilson shot the principal statues two days ago," Maria added an argument to the already chaotic debates.

"Hell no," Garth said.

"I don't want to do that master," Cecile said.

"All of you, can you please shut up for a second," I shouted to all of them.

"What is your suggestion then?" They said together while looking at me with a hostile face.

"We can visit the school after dinner, then we can do stargazing at the grassland while Garth guarded us with Maria's MSG-90. Sounds good?" I asked them for my plan.

"I agree," they shouted, and the whole inn looked at us.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize if we disturb you," I said to the guest.

"Now, can all of you lower your voice down?" I asked them.

"Ok, what should we do now?" Garth asked me.

"I don't know, got any ideas? Don't argue again!" I said.

"Why don't we hang around the town? But this time we go on our own," Cecile said.

"Are you sure your safety is guaranteed?" I asked while looking at Maria.

"Don't worry, I will bring my sword and dagger," She said.

"Ok, I see, I will stay here then," I said.

They left their chairs and headed towards the door. They waved their hands then left the inn.

I called the receptionist and ordered a cup of tea.

"Are you from the land up north?" She asked me.

"Nope, I just want a cup of tea," I said.

"Ok, I will bring it to you, sir," She said.

"Where is Sophie?" I asked her.

"She is sleeping right now," she said.

"Ok," I said.

I pulled a smartphone from my pocket. I turned on the screen and began by logging in into my old Google account.

I browsed on the internet and found out about the current earth situation.

- USA and USSR finally signed a peace treaty and ended the WW3 in the ruin of Bordeaux.

- The space elevator construction is finally completed

- First trans galaxy travel is now implemented

Well, that's all the news updates said. The tea finally arrived at my table. I took a sip, then Sophie came and pulled a chair in front of me. She put his hand in front of her face.

"The behemoth death, have you heard about it?" She asked me.

Surprised by her question, I was trying to keep my cool, "Nope, I haven't heard about it."

"Are you sure? I saw all of you entering a black horseless carriage to the outskirts of the town," she tried to dig information from me.

"I'm sure I didn't saw any behemoth today," I tried to lie to her.

"How does the black carriage of your move?" She asked.

"His grace secret, I apologize," I said, and finally, she left my chair.

"Peace at last," I murmured as I put my back to the chair.

I left the chair then head back to my room. I chanted [Ice] spell to make the air around it cooler. I laid myself on the bed.

I began to watch youtube on my phone while plugging the tactical earpiece to my phone.

3 hours later

"I don't know you can cook, Wilson," Sophie said.

"Thanks for the compliment," I said as I stir the soup.

Sophie let me used the inn kitchen. The reason was that it was Maria's request.

I cooked meat soup as usual. Honestly, my food variation hasn't gone up yet.

Sweet food wasn't my fortè. So I didn't make any dessert for them, but as sure as hell, I could search for a recipe on my phone.

I served the soup in a bowl then serve it to the others for dinner.

"Dinners ready," I said as I placed four bowls on the table.

"Thanks, Wilson," Garth said.

"Here you go, my lady," I said as I put the spoon and the bowl on the table.

"Thank you," Maria said as she grabbed the spoon.

"Where is Cecile?" I asked as I pulled a chair from the table.

"She is in our room right now," Maria replied.

"Oh, I see," as I put the spoon on my bowl.

We ate the soup while the aroma surrounded the room. My food was very delicious because I was using a secret ingredient on every dish that I made. The secret ingredients were very cheap, but it has a tremendous impact on flavor. Do you want to know? It is Sodium 2-aminopentanedioate. Try it on your food, and I could guarantee that it will boost the taste of the food.
