The color of spring

"Rest." He says seriously.

"I will."

I lay down and turn to my side.

"When is the wedding?"

He looks up and sighs.

"Don't worry about that right now. We can't have the wedding if the bride isn't there."

"Zhi Xiang.." I curl up my hands "let's pick a date..soon."

He smiles and holds my hands together, "of course."

His phone rings and takes it out. He looks at it then back at me.

"It's my assistant. I'll be back."

He walks out the room, I could hear hear him talk to his assistant about the company, both companies. I get up and walk to the window and stare down.

"Isn't the city view beautiful."

"Isn't the city view beautiful?"

"Daddy, am I beautiful?"

"Of course you are! You're my daughter."

"Daddy how come you have to stay at the hospital?"

"Well, because daddy had an accident at work but I'll soon come back home to you and mommy."

"Xiaoxiao. What are you doing?"

I turned around, Zhi Xiang came back in the room.

"Thinking back to memories, that's all."

"I see." He wraps his arms around me. "Rest now. You'll get discharged tomorrow morning."

"Okay."

I climb back to bed and lay down. Zhi Xiang sits next to me and lays back in his chair.

"Shouldn't you go back to the company?" I ask

"No. I rather stay here with you." he says softly.

"I'll be fine. Go back to the company."

"No. I must take care of you."

He puts my hair behind my ear and stares at my lips.

"The color of spring." he mumbled.

The color of spring. I seem to remember where those words came from. The day we went to that event after school. It was a beautiful day and we decided to go to the cherry blossom festival. That day..could never be replaced.

"Li xia! Li Xia!" I chase after her "look at this! We should go with everyone!"

She grabs the flyer and had an excited face

"Wow! Xiaoxiao, this looks fun!" she grabs my arm "lets go tell the others!"

We rush to the class and go to everyone who were sitting around Zi Xin.

"Guys! Lets go to this event after school!" li xia exclaims.

They all look at the flyer then smile.

Sasha hands back the flyer to Li xia.
