Sorry all, for the past...month and some? Not sure how long, but ive been packin and drivin and all bunch of other stuff.
Oh and there was also 4th of July, let's not forget that, so other than having fun and being busy I also babysat for a very curious kid who literally talks every 5 seconds. (Like I'm not even kidding)
Oh and I also moved from California, I think around april then stayed with family in Kansas.
And after a few months in Kansas they decided to move to Georgia, and now we finally settled down in a state but I'm not sure if they would do other last minute decisions.
Now I am looking for a job AGAIN, and have to get comfy around here.
Anyways this is my excuse for not having been too active.
Thank you for understanding you PESEANTS, but if you don't...then then a Lion does not worry about the words of mere sheep. 😤😤
Now Read for thy DESIRES...
••••••••••••••••••••••••
In Howards suite, which was now empty of people other than Alfie and Howard, Alfie sat on the kitchen counter enjoying a small meal.
Howard on the other hand just walked out of his closet with a long box the length of 4 feet and another smaller box on top.
And with some effort Howard made it to the counter before putting it down with a breath.
"Here."
Alfie looked up at the two boxes and spoke.
"Is that- you already finished them?" Alfie asked.
"You bet I did, I couldn't wait to out it together knowing the schematics you gave me." Howard said as he ran his hand back and forth on the boxes like a prized car.
"Wow, you work faster than ever." Alfie got up exited before sliding the boxes to his side of the counter excitedly.
"Why is it in a box though? No need to fancy then up and all, or is it to excite me more? Hehehe." Alfie laughed.
"Damn right I'll box and fancy them up, they're some of my best creations!!" Howard said as he waited for Alfie to open them up.
"Best? Really?"
"Well not best...but it's the smallest and complex things I've put together in small effort but great devices." Howard said.
"You may have made them Howie, but I was the one wh-"
"Just open it Alfred!!" Howard said impatiently.
And so Alfie did, chuckling at his reactions.
A 13 inch long box.
Alfie opened it and took out a gun, but not just any gun, nor is it a weapon but a tool.
A grappling gun.
Alfie analyzed it closer with a smile, it was designed the same way it looked in one of the Batman games Alfie remembered from his past.
There wasn't much to say other than the fact that it is silver in color, 11 inches long and had a circular application in the middle that holds the string lines.
It wasn't big but it wasn't small either, the size was small enough to not bother Alfie during his activities.
"Looks great right?!" Howard chimed in on the side looking at Alfie's reaction.
"It's actually not bad Howie, haha, to be honest when I requested you to do this with only half the ideas in my head, I didn't think it was possible, but does it really work?" Alfie stood up and aimed it around to get familiar with it.
"You bet your ass it does, you think I would half ass this? I mean the very idea of a grappling hook canon redesigned into a small handgun is NEXT LEVEL, at least for the small cutting-edge stuff but…" Howard went on to explain the capabilities of the grappling gun.
The wire was custom made that was combined by a few other materials and braided into a wire that was able to be small and tough at the same time.
Not only was it small but the wire can go as far as up to 90+ meters which was about as long as a football field.
(DON'T START!!)
The wire is strong enough to carry AT LEAST 200 pounds, and around 290 pounds max.
But Howard said not to test how much it can carry or else it will start to break down minimally.
All this was able to work because of a small can of pressurized gas that is able to fire the grappling hook more than a few 10's of times.
Alfie was more than happy, he always wanted one of these because climbing environments manually was just too much time wasted, but now with this he can ascend and descend from rooftops while it also can save him from a fall.
Now falling off a mountain will be less guaranteed until he really does learn some useful spells...soon.
Alfie put the grappler back on the box before going to Howard and bear hugging him so hard he literally couldn't breathe.
"Hahahaha, if I was gay I would have gave you the best time of your life, but I will just grant you an appreciation hug." Alfie said as he let the panting Howard down as he tried to fix the almost cracked bones.
"That was an appreciation? I thought my time had finally come." Howard squeezed out.
"Now, time for the main dish." Alfie's smile widened more.
He grabbed onto the lid of the 4 foot long box, and it definitely wasn't a short sword.
This box was the reason it was heavy, at least for someone of Howards standards.
Alfie then picked the lid up as the object in there shined its silver and steel like body.
It was a rod, a 4 foot metal rod with some art designs Howard took upon himself to put it on to not make it look boring.
Howard waited for the reaction and compliments but nothing came.
Alfie just stood there staring at the small metal rod.
And with a questioning look Howard started shaking his head before speaking up.
"I- is it not to your- is something wrong?" Howard asked.
"I love it." Came the quick reply of the man.
Howard rolled his eyes but was relieved, he didn't work on the masterpiece just for it to be shunned.
Alfie took the rod and felt the weight of it, it was heavy but good enough for his liking, though heavy for an average man like Howard.
It was around 45 pounds.
And Alfie took it by one hand effortlessly compared to when Howard had trouble carrying it.
"Please tell me it can do 'that'?" Alfie looked at Howard and asked with hope.
"Try it."
Alfie took a step back for more space excitedly before he grabbed the middle with both hands and twisted it.
Nothing happened, but Alfie knew that because he worked on the blueprints with Howards before letting him do what he can.
Alfie then pulled the missle apart.
*KUCHUK*
The ends of the rod clicked and extended into a 6 foot Bo staff.
Alfie then reversed his action on the staff by pushing it back then twisting it back again which was to leave it locked in that form.
Alfie sized up the staff with awe.
The weight of the staff changed, the middle wasn't as heavy anymore while the ends of the staff had the most weight.
When Alfie grew up under the Ancient One training, he tried to get familiar with old school weapons.
He wasn't trying to master them, but rather to get familiar.
Because he couldn't split his focus on the weapons when Chi was his main study.
But he did get familiar with a few weapons, his favorites were the sword and the staff.
He liked the sword because it could give him quick results and has the most familiarity with.
Staff on the other hand was his fun weapon, something he can mess with the opponents with.
In the training yards at Kamar-Taj, whenever Alfie picked up a staff to have a match with other apprentices, the sound *Thunk* would echo out through the area.
Alfie was skillful with the staff and was like a monkey with the staff, literally bruising his opponents, even the teachers around.
Back to Alfie and Howard.
Alfie thrusted and swung the staff skillfully in front of Howard.
And as time went, Alfie became more proficient with the metal staff, doing tricks that were almost impossible for the human body to do because of how heavy it was for one hand tricks.
But that wasn't what Howard was dazed by, it's the fact that Alfie was making sounds through the staff whooshing here and there.
After Alfie finished testing the staff he did the same thing by pulling the middle apart then twisting it.
But this time the ends didn't retract, what Alfie did was hit one of the staff points on the floor which retracted both sides before Alfie twist and pushed again.
"This is truly a masterpiece, Howie." Alfie said looking at Howard.
"I really don't know how to thank you this time…."
"Eh, it's not like you're rich enough to thank me, but please, do keep the compliments coming." Howard joked.
Alfie walked up to him again threatening to give him another hug but Howard refused prepared to run.
"But if you really wanna thank me, Alfred...how about I take the rest of the Vibranium?" Howard asked.
"There is still some left?" Alfie asked, surprised.
When he brought in a big chunk of it in a chest he only thought of using it for weapons and armors.
The weapons were done but using it for armor was a bit too high a task according to Howard.
But now that he has the Vibranium weapons he forgot a bit about it.
"Yeah, a lot of it in fact but not too much, do you have plans for them?" Howard asked hoping this careless man would wave it aside.
"Well no...are you really unable to make my suit vibranium at least?"
"It's possible, we just don't have the toys to go that far." Howard said.
"In fact most of my things were fried just making those things of yours…" Howard said.
"I see...well as compensation you can have the Vibranium." Alfie said as he put his things back into the boxes.
"Oh but be careful not to mix too many foreign energies onto the mineral or else the enchantment will go off." Alfie said.
"Enchantment?..." Howard asked.
It just made him fill in more questions.
Before he could ask though, Alfie was already walking to his backyards sliding door.
"Where are you going now?" Howard asked.
"There has been mafia groups rising here and there since the war started, I'm gonna go take them down a notch." Alfie said before turning out of Howards sight and disappeared.
••••••
From alley to alley we can see a shadow moving on the ground, and on the roof tops Alfie was running and jumping trying to get used to the Grappling gun.
He was fully suited with his Orange and Black, behind his back poking out his two shoulders is a Sword and a retracted staff on the other.
As he landed and rolled on another rooftop, Alfie saw a high building but just far enough for him to reach with the grappling gun.
With quick movement Alfie's left hand went to his back and came back out with the grappling gun.
With his years of training his accuracy Alfie didn't have trouble connecting the hook on the edge of the roof, as he also knows the power and range of the grappling gun from practicing earlier.
Once the hook was secured Alfie did a small twist on the handle where the mechanical pulley was so strong Alfie could have been dragged but he jumped at the right time.
Closing in on the roof edge, Alfie pulled the gun down and in mid air used his legs to get a higher position and hauled over the edge without crashing onto the concrete wall.
"Damn, I gotta get used to this before I can use it comfortably."
So for the next while Alfie got used to swinging on it rather than using the pulley application.
His destination was a building holding small meetings of a gang boss.
The world was in a full out war, and there are the people who fight in the war, and the bystanders who reside in the countries.
But there were some who were smart enough to know that there is opportunity in the current chaos.
Organized crime became more, and took the opportunities to learn and maybe even grow more than ever.
The most common events were the turf wars, of course in New York it was a bit stable and the criminal empires still work in the shadows.
But in war zones in Italy and other countries, the criminals have been baring the fangs a little too much.
Alfie was able to get in touch with contact that showed him where the big boss of Italy is.
