Good news is...YA BOII FINALLY GOT A JOB IN THIS BIIITCH, and so I can start bringing in the dollars again and have less sleep…

And I gotta be honest, I didn't see it coming, a lot of us didn't, and mothafuckas these days would only talk about someone if they're dead and I won't lie I don't talk much about Chadwick but I was always a fan of THE KING and 42.

In a cafe, it was empty other than Alfie and three other people sitting as they started a conversation.

It was morning and soon enough people would start coming in for their morning coffee, and the few people in the cafe were servers who served Alfie and the others.

Alfie and Steve ordered what they liked while the two women Selena and Erza wanted to see what kind of sweets and tastes they can add to the drink.

Well it was mostly Selena while Erza glared at the two dispicable men as if she was royalty looking at a bunch of dirty criminals.

Selena took her time though and was making a friend out of the server as she asked her about recommendations and such.

The server soon left brewing the ladies drinks, she was a bit hesitant with the whole situation considering how Selena and Erza were dressed but Alfie introduced Steve and himself being with the military so she didn't say much but served them.

Erza was wearing her battle armor which was themed red and silver with a spear in hand while Selena had her armor hidden by a pelt coat that was a bear, and the head of the bear was hanging on her shoulder.

"Now let's get to business.

Steve let me officially introduce you to Selena, she is the daughter of Metisia, Queen of Deliosa, and the Queen of the Amazons.

Which makes her a princess, Princess Selena Gord." Alfie said as Selena dipped her head formally at Steve.

Erza kept her glare.

"Amazons?...as in…" Steve said unsure.

"Yes, as in the mythical island full of women." Alfie said.

"Warriors." Erza simply said.

"Warriors, yes, warriors, an island full of warriors." Alfie quickly corrected with a smile.

He is in nice mode at the moment.

"They're...you're real?..." Steve said skeptically.

Sure he has heard of the Amazons, it came from the Greek mythology, a group of women who were raised like warriors and even had a few skirmishes with the Greek gods and was even able to hold their own.

But Steve never thought they were real, and the two women in front of him were proof, at least they say so.

There could be exaggeration or maybe this was even a joke, but Alfie wouldn't joke about this, the air these two women gave was that of experienced fighters, Steve could feel it.

And sure Alfie messes around a lot but he never lies, he would just not tell him anything if he doesn't want to.

If they're real, does that mean…

"I imagine what is in your mind must be in doubt, but I assure you Steve, we are as real as you, even the gods are real and have walked the earth.

Poseidon has given us way through the seas and guided us to you." Selena said.

Steve didn't say anything, he crossed his arms and nodded as if saying he accepts their origins.

But Alfie knew better, he knew Steve wouldn't easily assume things or whatnot unless he sees these gods with his own eyes, and even then his beliefs would still not be shaken.

He is a man of god who fights for his country and what he believes in, even in the comics Steve was known to the gods as the most courageous man and would measure their courage and compare it to Steve.

"That explains where you come from, but it still doesn't explain why you are here." Steve said looking at Selena.

"Well you see, it's like this…

A few weeks ago a ship landed on our home, it took us by surprise as we usually don't get any...visitors.

They stormed our posts and killed many of our sisters, the battle was hard fought but with the gods' help we were able to push them back to the beach.

Alas it was then that we noticed that we were poorly equipped compared to the invaders, they had advanced weapons and their way of battle was too much for us to handle." Selena said.

Selena was right, the Amazons had blades and blunt weapons that required them to fight in close combat other than the bow of course, but it couldn't match the beaming weapons that would turn them into ashes quickly.

And unlike the old age battles, modern war is much more different where they would position themselves in the distance and start shooting at each other from meters apart.

In a way it was like a moth to fire.

"When I saw how terrifying their attacks were I immediately seized our charge and retreated which gave the invaders time to set up their own camps on the island.

Seeing how futile it was to blindly charge in, we gathered together with the wise elders and came up on a strategy to eliminate every one of the invaders.

We couldn't give them the chance to retreat or else they will come back and bring more devastating reinforcements." Selena said.

She was about to continue when the server came with two drinks for her and Erza, Selena thanked the server as Erza even gave a nod to the young lady serving them.

Maybe she only hates men…

"Mmm delicious…" Selena said softly as she enjoyed the cold beverage she ordered for her and Erza.

Erza looked back and forth on the Iced Coffee and her princess before looking at her own in anticipation.

And with gracefulness, she took the cup and sipped it, and when she did she couldn't hide her pupils widening and the cold soothing smell of the coffee entering her nostrils and tickling her heart.

It was something she could easily fall in love with, and in that moment she agreed with what Selena said.

It was delicious.

"What happened then? Did you come up with a way to push them back?" Steve asked.

"Yes, we had to use big devices that would cause destruction and take them by surprise causing chaos in their ranks before I lead the charge myself and got rid of every one of those invaders…

Unfortunately one of the ships slipped through our grasps and sailed away." Selena said with an exhale.

Steve nodded slowly as he played the scenario in his head before speaking.

"You say you've seen how dangerous the weapons they carry, but you are still willing to fight with them once more?" Steve asked.

"Yes, we aren't afraid just because they have these tiny weapons of destruction, they will pay for invading our lands and killing our sisters."

This time it wasn't Selena who spoke but Erza, she seemed angry and set on fighting HYDRA.

Though Steve didn't care about her behavior and questioned again.

"What about your home, aren't you worried HYDRA will make another move again?"

"Even if they were going to make a move they wouldn't be able to find Deliosa, not so easily anyway.

Their efforts will only result in their ships sinking." Selena said confidently.

Steve leaned back on his chair with his arms crossed as he stared back and forth from the two women.

In the end he didn't say anything but turn to Alfie who was just sitting there sipping his coffee enjoying the show.

They made contact and Steve gave him a look, a look Alfie understood.

Do you trust them?

And in turn Alfie didn't say anything, but he did smile and then turned to Selena.

"We spoke a few days ago when she seeked me out, and she was nice enough to sit down and have a talk as she tried to expel any mistrust I would have in mind." Alfie said, and though he was looking at Selena and spoke, he was actually informing Steve.

"I was straightforward and asked whatever was on my mind without holding back, and I believe she wasn't lying nor do I think she is someone that is potentially an enemy." Alfie said as Selena smiles.

"But to say I trust her?...

I don't." Alfie said simply in her face.

Erza frowned as she gripped her spear harder, Selena still had a smile on her face and Steve was still leaning back on his chair.

"Your reason?" Selena asked.

"You lied, I asked you that day if there was anything I needed to know and you said no…" Alfie said, but before he finished he took out a picture before sliding it to the middle of the table and spoke again.

"...who is that?" Alfie said, pointing at the group on the photo.

There was a group of women dressed in armor and equipped with weapons like the Amazons walking right behind a HYDRA commander.

But that isn't what Alfie was asking her, what he was pointing at was the woman walking leading the other women.

They were clearly Amazons, and Selena's answer would decide what would happen next.

If they were working with HYDRA then there was surely going to be a commotion, if not then there was an explanation.

Erza frowned as he hand squeezed the metal spear in her hand.

Steve was still leaning against his chair but the man was already prepared and expected that they would end up in this situation one way or the other.

"I didn't lie…" Selena said as she exhaled sadly.

"...I only didn't tell you because this is something you don't need to know about-"

"I can tell you ten different reasons out off the top of my head why I need to know about this.

For one, are you working with HYDRA?" Alfie asked.

"No! It's not what it seems-" Selena quickly tried to explain but Erza made a move which Selena followed up on.

The cafe quickly turned quiet, the servers and workers froze as they saw the situation between the four people in the cafe.

Alfe and Steve were still sitting down, Steve still leaning on his chair with his arms crossed while Alfie held his cup of coffee in mid-air as a metal rod was pointed at his neck.

The sharp point of the spear would have already pierced a layer of skin already if Alfie didn't have a tinge of Chi protecting his neck.

On the other hand Erza and Selena was both standing.

One looked angry while the other looked expressionless.

Erza was angry as she held her spear against Alfie's neck wanting to make him bleed, even just for a little.

Selena on the other hand had an indifferent expression as she held the middle of Erza's spear stopping it from going any further.

And as Selena held the spear with one hand she looked at Erza and without emotion spoke.

"You will remove your spear from this man's neck." Selena said, she didn't say it softly nor aggressively but the tone was enough to shake Erza off her anger.

"Forgive me, princess." Erza said as she stepped back saluted with her right fist on over her left chest.

"You will stand there and not move unless I say so, and you are not to use your weapon unless there is a reasonable cause, is that understood?" Selena said as she looked at Erza.

Erza didn't say anything but only bowed before standing there without much movement.

Selena sat back down and looked at the still calm duo, even Alfie resumed his coffee.

"Forgive my friend, but you must also understand that when the invaders attacked a lot of my people not only lost close ones but also took in hatred, in fact those who were willing to follow me here were the most affected and held strong hatred and revenge against the invaders." Selena said.

She looked at the photo on the table and she unconsciously donned a saddened face.

"This woman...she is my blood-sister, we grew up together and were close, but...some time ago she seemed to have changed." Selena said.

Alfie and Steve side glanced at each other without speaking, but they nodded for her to continue.

"I didn't lie to you but I did leave some things out.

Before the invaders came I had 6 sisters I was closest to, that includes my blood-sister, we grew up together playing, training and learning.

On our first battle one of them fell her name was Theresa, she led one of the riders division and was one of the strongest in our generation, but she fell during battle without even having to bloody her blade

And seeing how easily she fell I had no choice but to order a retreat. It is a shame for our people to back down or retreat in any situation but everyone agreed with my decision.

As I gather up the intelligent ones along with the wise elders, we strategize on a way to fight the invaders.

But behind our backs my blood-sister saw a chance for what she wanted and she took it, she sneaked into the invader camps and struck a deal.

She always wanted things, but they were never enough, she would always want more.

Mother forbid us to speak or think about the world of men, the world outside but we could not help ourselves but dream.

My sister took it far and argued with mother insisting we travel to the outside world and experience it.

One time she had a slip of tongue and spoke of how she wanted to conquer and battle with the mortal men to show how weak they are.

Mother wasn't happy with it and ended up punishing her, and she hasn't spoken or talked much ever since." Selena said as she wandered to the past.

"Things only got worse when mother announce me as her heir and the next queen which should have belonged to my sister.

Mother said I was destined to seat on the throne of Deliosa, I was the spawn of a god she said, yet she won't tell me anymore than that

Anyways, when we started our counterattack and brought launchers (catapults) we were able to gain victory in the battle, but by the time I realized it we were too late.

One of the ships has taken off along with my sister and her own chosen warriors, and we know about this because another of our close friends Yana, roder her horse half-dead to our location and informed us of my sister's latest activities before dying.

When we started our counterattack she stayed behind, but when we left she went into the treasury and took the divine sword and left, and while leaving she was stopped by her mother as she tried to talk some sense into her.

My sister simply stabbed her mother and ran off with a few warriors she convinced to follow her…" Selena slowly stopped her story as she looked at the duo.

"Your mother…" Steve chimed in without even saying she believes her or not.

"She is fine, though she is in hibernation recovering her injuries…

She doesn't know of what I am doing, or what my sister is doing, if mother was alive she would have stopped my plans immediately." Selena said.

"She sounds like a good person." Steve said

Alfie looked at Steve and couldn't help but remember Sarah, Steve's mother.

Which also made him realize a lot of things, like how long it has been since then, or how he is slowly becoming one with this life making his knowledge of his past seem like a dream.

"She was…

That's why I have to take down my sister and bring her back before she wakes up." Selena said.

Steve seemed to have already been sold and convinced, Alfie even seemed relaxed than earlier but he wasn't finished.

"I have two questions…"

"Please." Selena nodded for Alfie to continue.

"You said you have the-" Alfie was halfway when the door opened and rang the bell on top of the door.

Two people walked in and Alfie looked at the time seeing that it was 8:30 and more people are gonna come soon.

Alfie then looked at the server and called out.

"Check!"
