* Sigh *
"Why did it came to this?"
I'm currently waiting for Ceres, outside their mansion. I could've just said no, but I couldn't . She insisted that I'll go with her, despite the fact that there's the entrance exam tomorrow.
Does she even have a spell ready? I hope so.
If she's Ceres, I highly think that she has one ready.
I feel a little uncomfortable in these clothes. These tuxedo vest is slightly tight and this polo's button little , so I loosened it a bit.
"You look so handsome with that clothes, Master Trent."
Out of nowhere, Sebastian spoke. He sits in the driver's seat, of the carriage we'll use. It seems that he'll be our coachman.
"Please, just call me Trent."
"Okay. If you want to."
"But... Do I really look just fine?"
"Indeed, if I say so myself. In fact, it suits you very well."
"Thank you for that."
"I was only telling the truth."
When I first saw him, I felt like he'll be the type that's hard to to talk, but in reality, he's a gentleman. I feel like I'll get along with him.
After minutes of waiting, Ceres is finally done.
She's guided by the head maid.
"Now, Young miss, don't be out late."
"Hmm. I know."
The maid closed the door, and Ceres started to walk towards us.
"How do I look?"
She was wearing a full-white dress along with a big, feathery cap.
"Okay, I-I guess."
"Hee..."
She was wearing that smug expression on her face.
"Okay, let's go. Trent and Young miss, please enter."
I approached the carriage door and helped Ceres up.
"Now then, shall we?"
Sebastian started to move the carriage a little bit and eventually, the carriage went running fairly fast.
"Hmmhmhmm..."
Ceres started to hum as we ride. For some reason, I think I know the song she's humming. Now that I think about it, it seemed it was from we were young.
Flashes of memories started to fill my head. Memories from when we were kids, from Salma.
I still remember every little things that we did, things that made us not regret living there. Friends. I still remember everyone.
Every often after my training, I'll play with my friends.
"Hmmhmmhm..."
Listening to her eventually made me also hum to the song. She heard me. She looked at me with a smile.
Our eyes met, and we agreed to finish to hum.
She was leaning towards the window. Ah, it's a peaceful view, it's a feast for my eyes.
Her flowing blond hair slightly resembles the waving trees back home. Peaceful, the only word that I can think of right now.
"hmmm," we both finished humming. I couldn't help it, but I ended up laughing a bit.
* Giggle *
"What's funny?" she asked.
I shook my head no.
"Nothing, it's just that I find it amusing that you even remembered that disaster of a song."
"I can't help it. It has a catchy tune but it has terrible lyrics."
"Yeah."
"Of course, you made that song up. When you showed that song to everyone, our friends started to sing it as well."
She's right, I've made a terrible creation that of a song. Yeah, I remembered our friends are completely holed up to the song.
"Fun times."
"Hey, Ceres."
"What?"
"Do ever want to live in Salma again?"
"Why not? It's a peaceful place. Everyone's so nice."
"I see. Me too actually."
"Yeah. I'd want to live there with my future husband and kids."
"I see. I hope you find a great husband. I'll be happy to know my cute nieces."
"Huh? Your nieces?"
"Yeah. I'm sure they'll be good."
"Why not just say, "My kids"?" she whispered.
I kind of heard what she was saying, but it wasn't audible to the ears.
"What did you say, Ceres?"
"It's nothing."
****
The busy people. The rustling noises. People here and there. This is truly a city.
I looked through the window. All I could see is a busy city. Many people were doing their own things. Some are adventurers, vendors, merchants, and many variety of people.
The neighing sounds of the other horses, that pulls the wagons from behind and up in front, are heard from where we are.
I see that we passed through the city center, Sebastian took us to some kind of a shopping district, commercialized for teens.
"Here we are. I hope you two will have a good day ahead of yourselves."
"Yes. Thank you Sebastian. You can go home for now."
"Thank you, young miss."
And so, Sebastian started to drive away, until eventually he disappears from our vision.
"So, Ceres, what are we gonna be doing?"
"Hmm... I Thinking of strolling around some spots, here in the city, and after that, we'll go eat."
"Okay lead the way."
"First, let's go here."
"Here?"
She walked towards a map posted to a sign. She was pointing towards the city center. I once saw the city center, but never got the chance to visit it yesterday.
- 2 hours later -
We have walked for hours now, and saw many spots around the city. Honestly, it was fun. This is a fun experience before our entrance exam tomorrow.
Now, we're headed towards, of what appears to be a clothes shop. I was hesitant in going, but Ceres came inside the store, leaving me. I had no choice but to follow.
She was walking with that gleeful smile, and I was following behind.
She stopped at one corner, and started to pick some clothes for herself. I was quiet, many of the customers were girls. I received glances literally from everyone in the room.
For about 45 minutes, I waited still in one corner, doing nothing. At last she was done trying all the clothes.
When I looked at it, it was abundant in quantity.
"Wait, Ceres. Who's carrying all this stuff?"
"You of course."
Of course.
We left the store, with me carrying this bags of clothes. It wasn't particularly heavy, it was just great in number.
"Okay. I think it's noon already."
"Are we going back already?"
"Just one more place."
"Okay then, lead the way."
She started walking, and I followed. After minutes of walking, we ended up in a store front, that looks like you'll get cavities just by looking at it. It was a cafe. A big amount of girls are seated, and are drinking their coffee and eating their cake.
There were tables outside, and there were ones who were enjoying there time.
"Okay let's have lunch here."
"Ah, how about these?"
I was referring to the bags.
"Oh,you can bring it inside."
"Really?"
We proceeded to enter the cafe, and indulged ourselves with what the store has to offer.
