2. Her adoptive family.

She walks towards the man they're dragging a while ago. She put her finger on his nose when she confirms that the man is still breathing she took her phone and was about to call someone when she heard cars stop a few meters away.

"Sir..!!! Sir!!! Are you alright?" A worried man come rushing toward them. "What are you doing there come quick let's take him to the hospital!!". Two men came forward and carefully drag the unconscious man in the car then zoom away just like that. 

She blinks her eyes many times unbelieving what just happened. "Tsk. Rich people..." she shakes her head with dismay and annoyance. She then face her employee who's still a shock. "Deo.. Please stay here until they come. I know they will come here tonight please kindly explain to them what happened and who is this guy."

" Are you not going to wait for them to explain personally what happened here? I'm sure they're all worried." Someone out from nowhere suddenly join the conversation. 

"Big brother Ken Ken!!!.." she rushes her way toward the guy with a big hug. "When did you come back?" She tries to change the topic immediately but as always this brother of hers know her best. 

"I'm here long before you make yourself a hero and rush in danger without thinking." He hugs her back and kiss her forehead. "I drop by on your place to pay a visit when I found out you're not there I head over here to surprise you yet, you surprise me instead. So tell me how is it fell to become a hero help someone yet didn't bother to even thank you?" He said with a slight sarcasm. 

" I'm good brother.. " She smiles sheepishly. " I don't need to wait for them. If those worrywarts see me here in this situation like this they sure drag me back home, and detain me like prison with no freedom at all."

"Well, I think that's reasonable. That's what thinking too right now as a matter of fact." 

"I know you won't do that to me.." she smiles sweetly. That smile that she knows her best weapon for him. 

"And how can you say that?" 

"Because you loved me. And you're the only person who knows me better that freedom is my life," she replied. She also kisses both cheeks. 

Kenji smiled helplessly. This is the only battle he can never win no matter what he does. She ruffled her hair like he always did. 

" But you can blame us.. Especially them. You are their only sister. Their baby girl and only princess. They've already lost you for 10 years. Even I myself you're adopted brother is worried about your whereabouts." Kenji reaches her cheeks and touch it. "I know how you want to stand on your own. But seeing you doing this. I want to blame myself for teaching you those skills you have now."

Kenji Sato. Her adopted brother. His parents save her from those children trafficker. They decided to take her when no one claim for her after rescuing all the children that day. After a year they decided to legally adopt her. Kenji is 5 years older than her and treated her like a true sister. He cherished her like an expensive diamond. 

Her adopted parent loves her unconditionally. They keep her as their own. Giving everything she needs. They are both working in a government, as military officials. She can say she really had a wonderful life with them. Simple yet happy and contented. 

Growing in the family were holding guns and other weapons she finds herself eager to learn what can the military do. When she reaches the age of 10 she asked her adopted parents to send her to military school. At first, they didn't permit it specifically Kenji who's really against it. 

"No!!!.. You are going to attend a normal school!! Going in a military school is out of the topic don't bring it anymore hear me?!!.." Kenji said in a firm voice.

But as stubborn, as she is she did all the things that she knows to change her parent's decision. She went on hunger strike and locked herself in her room for 5 days without going out even to eat. Not they know she has a lot of food in her room she prepared ahead. 

On her 6 days of locking herself in her room, she found out she doesn have food to eat anymore. She finishes her 10 days food supply in just 5 days!!When suddenly Kenji knocks on her door. 

"Princess come out now. I know you don't have food anymore there. C'mon, let's talk about this properly." Kenji said softly. Her eyes grow wide. How come he knows I have food with me?. To her shock Kenji voice out what she's thinking. "You're thinking how I found out about the food you're hiding with you? Simple. Coz you're my sister. I know you more than anyone else." He adds. 

"If you really know me then you should know that I really want to go to the military." She still doesn't want to give up. 

"That's why I'm here. I like to talk to you about it." He replied helplessly. 

"Are you all are gonna to allow me?" 

"Come out first and eat with us for dinner you're not eating yet since this morning."

"No, I'm not hungry...". Growwwwlllll. Before she finishes her sentence her stomach betrayed her. She heard Kenji's laugh outside. 

"OK. OK, you're not hungry but at least fill your monster tummy with some food before they eat you." He said still laughing. "May I come in now?" He adds. 

Before she knew it the door open and a handsome young man in her military uniform came in. 

**Huh? How can he come in? Wait. All this time I didn't even check the Double lock? Uhgrrr.. Stupid brain!!.. **

"Oh C'mon baby girl it's not your fault you forgot the Double lock." A smiling Kenji comes forward to her. 

" How did you know it's not locked inside?" she said with pouting lips. 

"I told you...it's simply because you're my little princess." He reaches her head and ruffled her hair. "C'mon now mama cooked your favorite food papa also bought your favorite ice cream cake for dessert. And I have also a surprise for you." 

"Really??!!!.. What is it?" she asked with a big smile on her face. 

"You'll found out later. For now, let's go down first. They're waiting for us." Seeing her smile again make his worries and tiredness gone. 

"Hey sweetie c'mon now dinner is ready. Honey, I made your favorite food. I also add a little more spice on it!!!" They've heard their mother called. 

"Come down now my angel, I brought your favorite dessert!!!" their dad add. 

"COMING!!!!.." They said cheerfully in unison. He ruffled his hair once again and said. "Let's go down now. Don't let the food wait." Then turn around to go when Suddenly, she jumps up on his back. He almost loses his balance for sudden movements towards him good thing he caught her before she fell. "Whoah. Careful their baby girl.!!" He exclaimed. 

"I love you, dear brother. Mmmmwaahhh!!!.." She happily kissed him on the cheek while riding on his back going down to the kitchen. 

Kenji shakes his head helplessly and said. "I love you more my dear baby girl". 

When they reach the kitchen she saw her parents already sitting on the dining table. She greets them cheerfully like, there's nothing happened after she kissed and hugged them they enjoy their dinner happily. 

They live in a simple life. Not too rich but not short in anything they need. They don't have maids, so they do all the house chores on their own. After dinner, she's in charge of washing the dishes while her brother is cleaning the table. Their parents are in the living room watching some news while sipping tea. After they're done in the kitchen, they join them in the living room. 

She sits on her favorite hanging couch/swing when Kenji hand her a folder. Then sit on the bean bag in front of her. 

"What is this?" 

"Look for yourself." 

She looked at her brother suspiciously. He is smiling like an innocent kid. Then she looked at her parents. They're both smiling too while cuddling each other. Like they're still teenagers. She really likes. how they manage their harmonious relationships despite both busy with their work. She opens the folder in her hands. Her eyes grow wide upon seeing what's inside. 

"Admission paper?!!!! Really??!!!!! OMG!!!.. Is this really for me?" she exclaimed. They all both smile on her. She jumps in joy and hugs her parents tightly. "Thank you, Mama, Papa I promise I will do my best to become like both of you." Then she turns around to her brother who's busy on his phone and jump to him in surprise. "Brother dear thank you!!!!"

Kenji again being not prepared for her movement catch her causing him losing his balance fall down on the floor with her.

"You cheeky girl I told you stop being reckless.." He scolds but the girl didn't listen instead she showers her with kisses in his whole face while their parents happily watching them.
