Lily woke slowly and looked around the room. It was blurry. She reached out and fumbled around the nightstand, finally finding her pink-framed glasses. She slipped them on her face and sat up. She could see herself in the round mirror across the room. As she looked at her reflection, her heart sank to her stomach. 'This is not the body I belong in.' she thought. 'I'm a woman, damn it. Not this McConaughey-wanna-be.' She thought as she flung the blanket off herself. 'I guess I'll just have to fix that.' She said to herself. Lily walked over to the dresser and looked at the ocean of boyish junk that had collected at on the top. She looked to her right and found her wigs, in a pile, on the end of the dresser. She huffed as she picked them up and put them in their rightful place. After spending a few seconds pondering, she selected a blonde wig from the mass and began to secure her hair. After she finished her braids, she donned the wig cap and then flipped the golden locks on top. 'now we're getting somewhere.' She thought as she glued down her wig.
After having put on her favorite hair and dressing herself in her pink pajamas, she walked into the living room. The clock read 1pm on May 10th. She stared for a minute. It had obviously been a while since she had her turn last. Then, after realizing it was already past noon, she hurried to cook breakfast and ready herself for her night of fun and profit. After eating she walked to the closet to select tonight's clothes, though, she wouldn't be needing them all night. She pulled a short, silver dress covered in sequins and glitter from her portion of the closet and laid it out on the bed. She dug through the mess on the floor until she found her pair of thigh-high baby pink leather boots and plopped those on the floor near the bed. Next she pulled a pair of Spanx and nylons from the dresser drawer and began getting dressed. After making sure everything was tucked away, she pulled down her dress so that it managed to cover her ass. She giggled and sipped up her boots. After having a look-over in the mirror, she was starting to feel better about her body.
Lily walked out into the dinning room and brought a chair in from the table. If she was to go out tonight, she needed makeup. She sat down and gathered everything in front of her. She started with an orange foundation to hide her stubble. She then began gluing down her eyebrows. Once that was dry and covered, she slathered her face in foundation. After a quick contour and highlighter, she threw some soft brown shadow on her eyes and drew on her eyeliner. She held her breath as she applied her fake lashes and then she began to draw in new eyebrows. As soon as this was done, she swiped on a dark lipstick and looked herself over in the mirror. Finally, she was comfortable. Lily sauntered to the living room and grabbed her purse. As she did so, she found a wallet on the fireplace. In it was an ID under Joseph Newlin. She looked just like him in her other body. She pulled it from the pocket along with all the cash in the back and his car keys which were alongside it. She would need these to get into the club that night.
Lily flew down the dirt road in her silver Chevy on her way to a popular gay club called Merton's Dance Floor. It had been a while since she had a night on the town. She made her way into town just as the sun had begun to go down. After grabbing a quick meal, she pulled into the clubs parking lot. She grew excited as she could already hear the music emanating from the building. She got out and locked her car, stashing the keys in her purse. Men whistled at her as she strutted through the lot to the door. She had the ID ready when she got to the bouncer. She didn't recognize this one, they must have hired him recently. She flashed her ID and he nodded her in. She paid her entry fee and practically ran to the floor. A few minutes went by when she recognized a face at the bar. It was Kat, a trans woman and very good friend to Lily. She ran over and was met with an immediate hug.
"KAT! It feels like it's been forever!" Lily said as she pulled away from the hug.
"That's because it has! You know I promised not to ask where you disappear to but damn was I worried. Hasn't stopped me from partying though." Kat returned with a wink. She motioned for the bar tender to grab another drink.
"You look good, girl. Who's the new boy funding your pretty face?" Kat asked as the bartender sat down two drinks beside them. Lily giggled.
"No one. That's why I'm here." She laughed. She felt at home under the array of lights that flashed to the music.
"You should have called to say you were coming, I would have waited to start drinking." Said Kat.
"I know. I just got so excited that I completely forgot." She lied. She had just wanted to have some time to think for once. She lifted her glass to Kat, and they drank.
"Let's go get on the floor. There's a blond guy over there that I've had my eye on." Kat said she stood and drug Lily onto the floor. Lily could no longer contain her excitement as she started to move her body alongside Kat. She wanted so badly to leave with someone tonight, at least then she wouldn't have to be alone with her own thoughts. She quickly became enveloped in the sea of bodies all waving together in the music. It was warm and felt normal to Lily. Just then Lily's heartbeat skyrocketed in reaction to a man who had begun dancing with her. He worked his way around her body and finally settled in behind her, hands on her hips. She could feel his warm breath on her ear.
"Hey princess. Do you, uh…wanna head out?" he asked.
