Huang Household
The distinct sound of the study room door opening caught the attention of Uncle Travis. His eyeglasses lazily rest on his nose bridge as he read a page of the document on his hand. He knitted his eyebrows and lifted his gaze towards the door.
"What is it this time, Yiu Lala?" It was the nth time tonight that his wife entered the study room without knocking. In fact, this cunning little bunny never knocked on the door, and he knew right away that it was her when the door creaked as it opened.
Auntie Lala stomped her feet as she moved forward to the table that was covered with piles of paperwork.
"Don't call me that! Call me… darling." She batted her eyelids and gave a kissy face to her husband.
Uncle Travis chuckled and took off his eyeglasses. He squinted his eyes and pinched his nose bridge to relieve it from the strain of reading endless files and his wife's chirping too.
Auntie Lala took the document away from her husband's hand and sat at the table. She grabbed both of his hands and rubbed it against her long navy blue satin slip.
"How about… you stop reading and start spreading my legs instead?"
She lifted the hem of her satin slip with the help of her husband's hands. Uncle Travis was baffled at the sight of her naked soul.
"Preposterous! Where is your panty, Yiu Lala!"
"Omo omo omo! Why? Do you need it?" But before her husband could reply, she tightened her cave walls after she thrust her husband's finger inside.
A wolfish grin escaped Senator Travis' mouth. He would devour this cunning little bunny tonight.
The end of the hallway at the left-wing of the Huang Household was filled with Auntie Lala's giggles and unrestrained moans.
...….
The next morning, Sunny woke up refreshed and ready to kick a$$.
She started her day with a Surya Namaskar to show her deep respect for the life-giving energy of the Sun.
She started with the 'Mountain Pose with Hands in Prayer', her weight distributed on both of her feet as she established a slow, steady rhythm of her breathing and found her center. She then inhaled and stretched her arms out to the side then overhead as she put forth her heart and soul to the heavens and sent her greeting to the sun.
She exhaled and hollowed her belly to fold into a standing forward bend that connected her down into the earth. She inhaled and lifted her gaze, her spine extended while she kept her fingertips on the floor then exhaled as she reverted to a standing forward bend.
She went on another breathing exercise before she moved on to the next step: the Plank Pose. She took a full breath in as she lengthened through her spine. She then exhaled but kept her legs straight as she brought her knees up from the floor to build heat in the center of her body to hold the challenging posture.
Next, she inhaled and carved her chest forward into a pose that directed the energy out from her heart. She exhaled and rolled over, coming into a 'Downward-Facing Dog Pose'. She stayed still for several breaths, and then she stepped her left foot forward on an inhalation into a lunge. She exhaled then returned to another 'Mountain Pose with Hands in Prayer', and she slowly breathed as she immersed herself in the movement of the energy through her body.
...….
The Huang Family all headed out of their home to go on their separate agendas that morning. They kissed their baby girl goodbye and gave her encouraging words for her competition. Sunny was happy despite her family's "absence" during the qualifying rounds of her competition because she knew how busy everybody was, and this was her fight to finish too. What she didn't realize was the Huang Wolf Pack was set to surprise her, yet again, at the venue.
Auntie Lala and the twins, along with Senator Travis, rode in the white van that Sunny hated while Uncle Tawi chauffeured Sunny with a champagne metallic BMW sedan this time.
Meanwhile, the white van that Jenny hated was winding down the Capital Commons' hillside that housed two of the most prominent families in the country.
Halfway through the journey, it passed by a pick-up truck and both vehicles blew matching horns to acknowledge each other.
"So that's why Matriarch Co was all smiles last night," Auntie Lala whispered to her husband. Her body glued to him too.
"I thought he entered the academy?"
"He was there for a special class only." Uncle Travis kept his answer brief. His girls do not need to know the truth behind Lucas's academy schooling.
"Has Grandma found a wife for him yet?"
"Omo omo omo! Which era were you born in, Jenna? Of course, he can pick whoever he likes! How would you feel if I pick a husband for you?" Aunt Lala defended Lucas as if he was her son.
"I was just asking, Mom. Besides, who would want to marry him? It had to be arranged somehow, right?" Jenna sniggered, her eyes rolled at her mother's words.
"Sunny. Sunny will. She's that softhearted. Remember, she's the only one who would play with him before," Janna chimed in, a book she was reading stuck on her nose as she spoke.
"Omo omo omo, because Lucas and Grant were inseparable! She was only playing with Grant, okay? Don't look down on your sister like that." Auntie Lala now defended her youngest daughter, her voice a pitch higher than her already shrill voice.
These twin daughters of her sure know how to exasperate her so early in the morning.
"I don't know why Matriarch Co is fond of Lucas. Didn't she hated that second lieutenant?" Jenna pressed on as she had nothing to do, and the mystery that was called Lucas was an excellent topic for a long ride.
"Twinny, Lucas looked like his grandfather! Of course, Grandma would soften up to him."
"Stop it, girls," Auntie Lala warned. She looked out the window, awestruck at the Co Villa's magnificent façade. How she wished the deceased Huang Matriarch had hired the same architect for their home.
She returned her attention to her twin daughters and continued, "...and don't look down on Lucas too. You know… silent water runs deep." Her statement was full of meaning. That boy is not as simple as he looked. After all, he is a Co and not a Wan.
Uncle Travis pacified his wife; he grabbed her chin, tipped it so she would face him, and called her "darling" with a matching squeeze on her waist to warn his wife from saying more than what is needed.
"Ehem," Uncle Travis cleared his throat as he went on, "Enough with the gossiping." The airport is still a long way to go, and he did not want to turn deaf by his girls' nonsense chirping.
"Omo, I'm not the one who loves politics, senator!"
