Needy Koala

There was another soft knock on the door. It creaked open revealing Auntie Lala who was trailed by a helper. They brought in a tray full of steaming hot food — prepared and cooked by the Huang's in-house chef.

The helper placed the tray on a side table and went on to set it up for dining. When the helper was done, she grabbed the tray and stood silently in a corner.

"You can leave us." Auntie Lala compassed her hand as she commanded. She did not want workers to gossip about her sweetie and the Young Master Co snuggling. She almost fainted herself when she saw the two in a conspicuous position on the bed.

But what can she do when she knew that only that poor young fellow could normalize her sweetie? What her sweetie went through was a frightening ordeal.

Deep in her heart, Auntie Lala adored Lucas. He was her best friend's firstborn and an accomplished young yellow too, owning the leading security services company in the country. It was not that long ago when his brainchild start-up company debuted and the reception was great - it even left its competitors to burn into ashes.

But Lucas buzzing around her sweetie is an entirely different story.

She put on a smile on her sprightly face, hopeful that Lucas wouldn't notice her disdain. She cleared her throat, a hint for the two koalas to break from their embrace.

Lucas tried to release himself from Jenny's captive and firm grasp but the naïve little girl put up a fight. Jenny heard Lucas's heartbeat race, she glanced up and saw him sweat in pellets and giggled at a rare sight.

"Sweetie, why don't you eat dinner with Young Master Lucas, hmm?" Auntie Lala coaxed her child. She knew her sweetie was awake when Lucas did not stand up after she entered the room - her sweetie definitely held the poor young fellow down.

"You haven't eaten yet?" Jenny sat up on the bed. The fingertip pulse oximeter beeped at her sudden movement.

The nurse who stood guard outside the bedroom ran inside. She heard of how sensitive and brutal wealthy families could be. If she wanted to keep her job, she should be alert at all times plus cater to their every need, and pamper them to a fault.

"Everything's ok, you can leave us." Auntie Lala shooed the nurse away. She started to get irritated with the accumulation of flies that witnessed her daughter's suggestive position with the Co Young Master. The nurse bowed to her employer and was about to return to her makeshift station when Jenny called her.

"Wait. Nurse, please help me walk to the table."

The nurse hurriedly walked up to Jenny and wheeled the infusion pump as her patient ambled to the table.

Lucas tried to help her but Jenny pushed him away and said through gritted teeth, "I can walk." He tilted his head and scratched his temple. 'Wasn't this girl like a needy koala moments ago?'

Jenny settled in her seat, she sent a look on the nurse and the poor girl scrambled out of the room in an instant. "Mom should rest too," she said sweetly to Auntie Lala.

Auntie Lala eyed the pair, she knew she said that Lucas could stay as long as he wanted, but that's not really what she meant. Sometimes she wanted to drop all the pleasantries towards this young fellow but she couldn't. She pitied him too at some point.

She let out a soft sigh and peered at the pair one last time before she closed the door behind her. She knew it was best not to butt in their private dinner; her sweetie has to fill her stomach too.

The moment Auntie Lala entered her bedroom, she couldn't help but complain to her husband who was reading some documents on the bed. "Darling, Lucas is in Jenny's room eating dinner," Auntie Lala said in a matter-of-factly tone, yet one could tell that she really made a complaint to her husband.

"She finally got off her bed, I see. That's great, darling. Lucas did a good job. Now, why don't you leave them alone and let him stay with Jenny for a while? You know she needs Lucas's company most right now," Senator Travis replied.

He did not want to accommodate his wife's whims tonight. To the revered Senator Travis, it did not matter what other people talked about behind his daughter's back. His sweetie's wellbeing was his top priority and if it entailed Lucas spending the night over, then so be it. Besides, it was common knowledge that the two were inseparable after they attended the Le Bal des Débutantes - the world's most exclusive debutante ball.

"But, darling…" Auntie Lala pouted.

Senator Travis placed his documents down on the side table. He took off his reading glasses too. He rubbed the bridge of the nose to relieve it from the strain of prolonged reading. He then motioned for his wife to sit on the edge of the bed as he patted it twice. Auntie Lala obeyed but did not forget to stomp her feet on the way.

'How could this man indulge her daughter this way? Matters of the heart should be corrected while the chicks are young and innocent,' Auntie Lala thought to herself but did not dare voice it out. She knew her husband was dead-tired from the day's chaos and she did not want to be the cherry on top of his mountain-high obstacles.

"Let them be. Jenny is still young and whatever is going on between them is only transitory. I bet in three or five years from now, she would be clinging to a different person," he said with a complimentary massage on his wife's shoulder.

He was informed that she fainted the moment she heard the news and was unconscious the entire trip home. Even the Sai Madams were inconvenienced because of the accident but he frankly did not care about them.

"I am afraid they would take things to the next level, darling," she meekly said. She almost choked on her words and wanted to slap her mouth but she knew the truth. She just did not want to face it.

"Lucas is a good catch, darling. I don't know what your fuss is about."

"People look down on him, darling. I don't want people to look down on us."

Senator Travis's hand crawled on his wife's legs and decided to release all his pent-up frustrations tonight. It's a great conversation changer too. So he pushed his wife on the bed and climbed on top of her.

"I don't care about them looking down on us," he whispered to her ears and lightly bit it too before he continued, "I care about you looking down on me from this view."

The esteemed Senator Travis bowed down to his queen; spreading her legs apart and ravaged her through the night.
