In other words, Belen cut off that promised thread which only enraged Mabel enough to cry aguishly at the thought of having to now find a job to pay for Emma's bills. 


It took her some time to calm herself before returning to Emma's room only to find her bed gone. She frantically asks, "where is Emma? The little girl that was in that room just now?! Where did you take her?!" Mabel impatiently asks as the doctor from earlier appears, "I am afraid Emma's care has been reduced to sharing a room with other patients on the pediatric floor. You'll find her there."
