Six years ago, Yun Family, one of the richest family in the country fell down as the result of the economic crisis that hit the entire country. Yun Lihua, the young lady of Yun Family became an orphan with no one to rely on and ended up in an orphanage named 'The Sunshine'.
Together with her friends in the orphanage, she created 'The Sunshine Squad', consisted of five members with five different personalities.
Yun Lihua, a proactive and a stubborn yet reasonable girl. She was smart, quick witted, decisive and endowed with photographic memory. Her dark past left a scar that remained in her heart. She anonymously voted as the leader of the squad.
Luo Yu, a hot blooded young lad. He was smart but often easily duped by the other members of the squad. Despite that, he was sincere and a joker. He had a great look and physique as well as highly talented in sport. he dreamt to become an athlete. He secretly loved Yun Lihua but everyone actually knew about it, including Yun Lihua herself.
Lu Jiao, a bubbly girl and a good eater. She liked to eat junk food but she didn't get fat. She's also hyperactive to the point that the rest of The Sunshine Squad members suspected she suffered ADHD. She was a joker alongside with Luo Yu.
Feng Ye, he was a computer genius but acted like a cassanova despite his zero girl-picking-up skill. Sometimes he was quiet but most of the time he was talkative. He was a sly character with his favorite activity and hobby to dupe Luo Yu.
Fan Linlin, a typical model student. She was smart and did everything by the book. She was timid but sometimes she became the most courageous among all of them. She saved her words like gold but once she said something, it was like an enlightment. She was the counselor for all the members.
Five of them strived for their life despite all the conflicts and possibilities that might happened. It was all for their dreams and their beloved happiness.
Would they be able to achieve their own happiness?
Would all their wishes come true?
And for Yun Lihua, would she free herself from her dark past? Or would she be entrapped by her past deeper than she was now?
Honest Review The Good: The plot is not original, but it works very well for what the author is trying to setup I think. The writing style is fairly lighthearted and doesn't take itself seriously so it is easy to read. The Bad: Grammar is painful at some spots, but not unreadable, take the time to read what you write and you should be able to catch a lot of the tense mismatches and missing words. I would also like to know a little bit of what happened to her family and why they 'fell'. Where is the plot going? Does the MC have motivations aside from survival?
The introduction was good. It set the mood of the story, realistic and a sprinkle of drama. Reading the first two chapters left a lot of questions which I think is good to hook in the readers. The grammar is a little distracting, but I'm sure the author will improve as the story goes along. I couldn't tell yet where the story is going but the characters are well developed and have their own personalities. This story will be perfect for those readers looking for hope, friendship, and a sprinkle of drama.
With the grammatical errors fixed, the story would flow better. Nonetheless, they aren't much to obstruct the readers. The synopsis was enough to get me hooked in, and the story inside doesn't disappoint even though four chapters aren't much to give a review on.
