Awakening Of the Ring Part 3

Soon the news of the event that a doctor who was harvesting the material from an unusual mutant mantis did something unimaginable reached the ears of all high ranking officers. And within an hour that doctor with a strange egg was kept in 24 hours observation to observe what was happening to him.

While humans were unaware of the complete situation around them. but the environment around them was changing very rapidly. As of now they currently strongest beast human encountered were 1 stage beast and it was of the most basic rank of black iron and most power full beast on earth was only of 2nd stage at most. But now the earth is only started to assimilate into the giant planet but this process was very fast and even in most conservative evaluation it will take at most 5 years and as more time passes higher the rank of the beast will increase.

While humans are now not even comparable to most basic non-stage beasts in strength and they even had no way to increase their strength, this causes them to be pushed towards unknown crisis but. And the only hope to change everything was this opportunity found.

When Albert was first locked into the room he was very scared as now in the post-apocalypse world there are no human rights while there is law in place but there were still many people who died of unknown cause and he thought that he is going to be one of them.

But soon a person came into the room he looked very dangerous at first glance thus Albert looked at him with complete focus. That person looked at him for a second and sat on a chair in front of him.

Albert was just an honest person before the apocalypse and even during the uphill he didn't suffer too much as the place where he worked was nearby a base and being a doctor he always got a better treatment. And after the apocalypse then he started to work at the laboratory of the capital city as a part-time work other than looking after injured soldiers but this was the first time in his life he felt so scared.

When the person saw the appearance of the doctor at first glance he knew if he wanted to know anything he should just ask and he will get all of his answers and there was no need for him to torture the person in front of him to get answers.

He even somehow felt pride from the appearance of doctor and smiled in his mind but he calmed himself down as a professional investigator and asked "alright doctor you only need to answer my question and I will not harm you a bit" and then he made a strange smile. And then added, "now tell me what happened in the laboratory in a complete detail and don't leave any things, who knows that might save your life" while maintaining his strange smile.

Albert who was already scared still in fear of death only become more nervous inside when he saw that creepy smile on the face of the investigator. But after he heard that he might be left alive if he gave satisfactory answers to all the question he might ask.

He steeled his own heart and started to tell all the event happened earlier that day ' from the start of when he went in the lab to harvest parts of mantis then he continued with every minute detail he could remember.'

He explained how he was harvesting the eyes of mantis then he found a colourful rock with a slightly grey colour which was only the size of a fingernail, he also told when he pinched that rock it unexpectedly broke and a card came in front of him and went inside his forehead and when that happened he felt particularly refreshed. And the next thing he found was that an egg size of a fist appeared in his hand and he also said in the end that from the moment egg appeared in his hand he felt a bond with it and also said he could take egg inside of him and out based on a thought.

While Albert was answering, he was very nervous and he unconsciously applied more pressure and unknown to him steel handle of the chair has his deep fingerprint due to his hand pressure. and it can only be considered as a pure coincidence that the line of sight of investigator fell on Albert's hand and he happened to saw Albert hand slightly sink into the handle.

While he noted that point he didn't point out and waited for Albert to finish his answer and then asked: "Were you always that strong Mr Albert" and pointed at the handle.

Albert was first confused but he still looked at the handle and the next moment he eyes opened wide in the surprise as there was at least one-centimetre deep fingerprint was present, he then looked towards investigator who was looking at him with a curious expression and replied in a shaky voice " Sir....I.. don't know why this happened, previously I didn't had this kind of strength"

Investigator just smiled lightly but didn't force on that topic anymore as if he already knows the answer to that question.

He then started to ask questions about other things this questing continued for at least couple of hours and while they were not noticing egg which was being kept at the bench behind alert started to crack and within half an hour crack started to expand to the entire eggshell.

And then suddenly a scythe of a mantis finally broke a small part of the shell and emerged outside and at the same time Albert who was answering the investigator suddenly let out an "OH" sound as if he was in extreme pleasure.

The investigator who was about to end questioning and was writing something on a paper while keeping his head down was completely startled by the sudden sound of extreme pleasure and when he looked at the pleasure-filled face of Albert first response was full of disgust but he recovered from his disgust and quickly asked.

"What happened?"

Albert also recovered from his dreaming state and without answering investigator question he directly turned behind and went towards his jacket in which egg was wrapped. Investigator noticing the strangeness of the situation also got up from his seat and went towards the direction of the jacket.

When Albert reached his jacket he felt that the bond between the egg and himself has somehow increased and he felt emotions of the unknown being on the other end bond. It was almost like a child whining for food.

Albert immediately lifted his jacket which was supposed to cover the egg. He was stunned by what he found below the jacket.

There was a mantis of an elbow size, it has black exoskeleton almost like any newborn normal mantis and it was eating a while shell which Albert identified at first glance as it was part of the egg he had. At first, Albert thought this mantis somehow sneaked inside and ate his precious egg and was about to swat it with his jacket but restrained at the final moment as he found his bond still exists. And when he concentrated he found out that on the other end of the bond is that mantis.

When he extended his arm towards that mantis and willed to his bond for the mantis to climb on his hand, then he saw that mantis lifted his head to look at him for a second and climbed on his hand.

Albert after lifting it he turned around found investigator was looking at him very surprised expression. Only then he remembered that he was being interrogated just now and when he that pleasant feeling just now he forgot everything currently happening to him, now he had done it he almost expected to interrogator to sought at him.

But to Albert surprise, the voice of investigator was not even a bit harsh as that man did even felt being offended as he heard "Mr Albert care to explain what is that mantis in your hand and where did it come from."

Albert was first surprised but then he answered honestly " sir I don't know how should I answer, but this mantis came out of that egg just now and I also fell strong bond with it and as from where this mantis is from. I think it looks similar to the variant mantis I was dissecting earlier today"

Albert then added " if want to know anything about it I can't tell you anything as I don't know"

When investigator heard this he almost instantly went outside the room after saying goodbye to Albert. Soon the almost the whole city of human was stimulated as almost all the soldiers were dispatched to kill any variant beast found in the area near the city.

And within a day many of the beasts found nearby area were killed and all the body were transported to the laboratory. Soon all the beasts were dissected and most of the beasts had their colourful crystal in their head as only a complete 1st stage beast has crystal formed.

Soon many of the soldiers were asked to break that crystal, but the rare of card appearance was only one-tenth which can be considered low from a certain perspective. But all of the soldiers who used crystal had their strength increased.

Thus the era of beast formally started. and humans just barely started to get hold of their situation.

Within no time use of crystal spread to all of the human bases and soon all the human who was previously fighting only to defend now started to fight to kill and become stronger.

Soon five years passed

In these five years, many of the incidents occurred such as earth finally completely assimilated into giant planet three years ago. Then all the earth shook for a few seconds as mana from the outside rushed at a very fast speed to the old earth atmosphere which caused the land to tremble for a while.

and two years ago all the electric equip which were rendered useless at the start of apocalypse started to function again and even one of the satellite function for the few seconds and managed to send a picture. when the peoples who were working to repair electric equipment in abase managed to get it they were shocked by what they saw.

what they had seen was a very large planet with a completely different environment and surrounding and the whole landmass they were on seem like only a small iland in a lake, not even a sea.

In the last five years, humans overall strength progressed over leaps and bounds and when the electrical equipment came alive human started to rebuild everything and within a year all the cities were connected with the rail network. Humans also gained control over some of the portals present in the wilderness in recent few months. The government also opened beast training schools for teenagers so they can be made into proper fighters.

in one of such schools of the border city of human a 17-year-old teenager who spinning a ring in his finger while listening to his teacher who was talking about beasts suddenly screamed while holding his head and fainted.

Before he fainted he heard a sound "Beast Traning System Online".

the teacher who was teaching him rushed to his side only to find that there was nothing wrong with him other than him being fainted. thus he ordered two students to carry him to school hospital.

while all of this happened none of the people noticed that the ring in that student's finger vanished....
