30. Munching his newly baked cookies
Munching his newly baked cookies, Liwei easily forgets his bad mood earlier and got the best of enjoyment towards his cookies.
"Hey slow down, no one will take it from you" Xinghe is laughing at how fast he eats the cookies she baked.
Ushi saw the scene, where Liwei seems already in a good mood and Xinghe is happily watching him eat. He heaved a sigh of relief.
"Xinghe" Ushi called her. Liwei and Xinghe looks at him simultaneously.
Ushi and Xinghe looks at each other as though they are talking through eyes.
"You guys go ahead. I will take some cookies for uncle Yu" Xinghe said, take some cookies and go upstairs.
Ushi seat across Liwei, while Liwei stop eating.
"What is your plan?" Ushi asked him. Liwei remain silent because he doesn't know what to say. Ushi doesn't know about convincing his father to let Xinghe participate in the mission and Ushi is already asking for explanation.
"Si Wen already told me, if not for Si Wen, do you have the intentions to tell me your plans?" Ushi asked him.
"Would you agree if I told you earlier?" Liwei interjected that makes Ushi cannot refute.
"I have no plan. I just want her to experience participating in missions that's all." Liwei spill the beans.
Ushi looks at him and confirmed he is saying the truth. What Liwei said makes sense for all the confusion Liwei caused to his mind because when he first met Liwei, Liwei has this dream to build e-sports company. Because Liwei love games, he often wants to play computer games to Ushi but that time Ushi started studying so he had no choice but to play alone. It is also a reason why Uncle Yu banned Computer games inside the mansion. Liwei wants to build a company that could open the opportunities to gamers who wants to play professionally but lacks financially and proper training. But too bad he is a heir.
He cannot be selfish when someday he will manage company that has families under in it. There are so many people who is working for them, he cannot just pursue his dreams when many people entrusted their lives and families in the Yu family. Liwei didn't really interested being a mercenary.
Liwei thought it could operate for all he care, he doesn't even care even if he is only in squad Foxtrot back then but all things changed when Xinghe came, he became obsessed about being the strongest, the battlefield became his playground.
"Wei, isn't it a little pathetic?" Ushi asked as though Liwei is some kind of idiot.
"Huh? What pathetic?" Liwei is confused.
"Nevermind." Ushi said.
"Hey, what pathetic are you spouting?" Liwei attempted to stop him when Ushi stands up.
He is confused, why does Ushi has to have higher IQ than him?
"Think about it yourself." Ushi said then leave.
Because Liwei poured his anger on him, He decided to let Liwei think overnight about what he said, leaving Liwei sleepless.
"Hey don't leave, what are you talking.." Liwei attempted to catch up to him but Ushi interjected,
"You don't like your cookies anymore?" Ushi said that makes Liwei stop on his tracks then go back to the kitchen and get his plate of cookies but when he came back, Ushi is no longer there. Fuck!
