Chapter 29 - Who do you think you are!

Seeing Urlan in front of them completely destroyed the group's otherwise pleasant mood.

"What do you want?", Edgar step out and asked.

"What do I want? I should be the one asking you that. I don't know what tricky you used to manipulated Eliza, but please return my fiancée.", Urlan somehow asked in a polite manner.

"Your fiancée? Who?", Edgar act confused.

"I only asked nicely because of your father, don't take a inch to a mile."

"I am afraid I don't know anything about your fiancée.", Edgar continues to act dumb.

"I am gonna ask you one last time, are you gonna return her or not.", no longer pretending to be nice he said with an angry voice.

"I don't know what are you talking about.", Edgar completely now ignored Urlan.

Edgar lead his group past Urlan and Yerman.

"Eliza! You know that we need help from Earl Urlan to find the medicine to cure your sick mother right?", Yerman suddenly spoke out.

Eliza stopped.

"Mother...", she said softly.

"Earl Urlan has found the cure!", Yerman attempt to persuade his daughter.

Urlan who is next to Yerman smiled with a grin.

(That right, one reason that father sent to me to Urlan is that he will use his powerful connections to help my bedridden mother...)

She started to feel conflicted.

"Milord I-"

"You belong to me now!", Edgar said with a serious voice.

(This bastard really just use his own wife, Eliza's mother to blackmail his own daughter...)

Edgar is now completely furious, had it came out of Urlan's mouth he might not felt this much anger. The fact that Yerman is the one who said it really pissed him off. The fact that he is trying guilt trap Eliza using her mother absolutely flipped him off. Back on Earth, he has the most respects for his parents.

Edgar step toward Urlan.

"You have the cure?", he asked.

"Of course!", Urlan said with a smiled.

"Lord Edgar, we needed this to cure my wife so please stop this childish play and-"

"Shut your lowly peasant's mouth! Did I asked you for your opinion!?"

Before Yerman could finish his word, Edgar shut him off. Edgar then stare toward Urlan with a cold eye and stick out his hand toward him.

"Give me the medicine."

His words surprised the rest.

"Or you can just give the medicine directly to Eliza's mother. Choose one."

"Hmph, I will naturally give Eliza's mother the medicine when you return Eliza to me.", Urlan said.

"I only asked you to choose the either options of giving it me or directly to Eliza's mother, nothing else."

"I said I will only give them the medicine when you return her to me.", Urlan firmly stand his ground.

Sensing the tense atmosphere, Eliza quickly went to Edgar's side.

"Milord, the original promise was for me to be one of Earl Urlan's concubines and in exchange for him to help my mother. I accidentally forgot about that during my time in Earl Urlan's mansion.", Eliza tried to explained to Edgar.

"So I think it might be the best if I returns, you don't need a useless maid like me right?"

Edgar can see that her eye is starting to get teary.

"Eliza, how long was your mother sick for?", Edgar asked.

"Recently, about half a year already.", she answered.

"During these time, did you ever see your mother?", Edgar continues to ask questions.

"No, father said that the sickness can be transferred so I never got to see her all this time. I do hear a lot of coughing from her in the room."

"Eliza, I think your mother wasn't sick. Your father probably made you think that she is sick. At least not sick to the point where it's this difficult to cure.",

Edgar's words shocked Eliza.

"What!? But how can that be? Why would father do this?"

"As the lord of this territory, I naturally knows a lot about this place, including any outbreaks of illnesses or diseases in the recent years. I was quite suspicious that your mother can suffered a illness this long without any major illnesses or diseases happening here or nearby in the recent years.", Edgar explained.

"Lies! How could you even know anything!?", Urlan retorted.

"Then we can go and see Eliza's mother!", Edgar spoke even louder.

"My personal maid Anna here is an extraordinarily talented doctor. If Eliza's mother is really sick like Yerman said she is, then let Anna try to cure her. As long as Anna cured her, you agreement with Eliza should be voided right?", Edgar said with a grin on his face.

"Only my medicine can save her!", Urlan said in annoyance.

"I don't care about your medicine now, I only wanted to see Eliza's mother!", Edgar said loudly.

"You can try!", Urlan similarity said in a loud voice.

"Frederick, Anna! We are going to Major Klaude's house!", Edgar said to his head butler and maid.

"Yes milord!", the two nodded.

"You dared!?"

Urlan now absolutely furious with Edgar.

"There is nothing that I, Edgar Von Valvford, the sole son of Herman Von Valvford, the current prime minister of the imperial court, can't do!", Edgar said loudly.

The crowd that long surrounded them shocked by Edgar's words.

(Damn this brat!)

Urlan thought while grinding his teeth.
