"Where's mother?", she said, not giving any crap about her brother who was standing before her, his hand, cutter and sweater, covered in that dark red liquid that she oh-so hated.
He just tilted his head to the side innocently and said, "Didn't she tell you? She had gone out, looking for herbs 'cause she couldn' t find anything that she needed in this forest."
Jase sighed in relief, she walked past her brother and got into her little sister's room, where her little sister slept soundly. She locked the door behind her, to prevent his brother from going in.
She smiled softly as she patted her sister's hair. She lied next to her and held her forearm loosely as she dozed out.
