Chapter 64

*30 minutes earlier*

Jade peeked from above the tree she was on. She saw that the two persons were boys and that they weren't walking hand-in-hand, their wrists were handcuffed together.

She narrowed her eyes and shuffled to have a better and clearer view of the two. One of them heard it because he snapped his head at the sound of Jade's shuffling.

Jade swiftly and quietly hid behind the leaves, just as the wind blew, the leaves rustling against each other and their branches sway gracefully, making the same sound of her shuffling earlier.
