She is much younger than rest

Yan Shu immersed herself in her work. Fortunately, she wouldn't have to continue doing it for long. During the semester break, their game will officially launch and she'll start working on that instead of her current job.

While she was hard at work, Chen Mu Sheng arrived at his office. As soon as he did, he called the branch's manager to ask for every part timer's files.

The branch's manager did as told, although he felt bad for the part-timers. To him, the only reason Chen Mu Sheng would show interest in them would be to fire them.

Chen Mu Sheng glazed through all of the names until finally finding the one he was looking for. "This one, Yan Shu. She's much younger than the rest. Why did you hire her instead of someone more experienced?"

"Sir, although she's indeed young, she's also very talented, probably the best in her department. She works fast, efficiently, and without causing any trouble. I assure you, she's a valuable asset to the team."

The manager knew that from experience. Some time ago, the department had found a bug that nobody was able to get rid off. Yan Shu stepped in and took care of it in just a couple of hours.

He even offered her a full-time position after that, but she declined as she was still a student.

Chen Mu Sheng nodded at his words. "Call her in. I want to see her skills." He spoke with his usual coldness, trying to not let his nervousness show.

The branch manager nodded and left, leaving Chen Mu Sheng alone in the office.

The waiting seemed to extend forever, until there finally came a knock on the door, causing his heart to skip a beat.

"Co—" he began to say, his voice hoarse. He cleared his throat and tried again. "Come in."

Meanwhile, Go Jichen tried his best not to laugh as he watched it all happen through the security cameras. He got suspicious after hearing that Chen Mu Sheng left to check on one of their branches.

His curiosity piqued, he decided to hack into the building's security system to eavesdrop.

Chen Mu Sheng prompted Yan Shu to sit as soon as she came into the room. "Ms. Lu, it's a pleasure to meet you. Your manager told me a lot of good things about you, so I wanted to see it for myself."

"Thank you, sir."

"Now, I went through your reports and noticed that you're taking a lot of work. Why's that?"

"It's because I'll be resigning next month, so I want to leave everything ready for when I'm out."

"And why are you resigning?" He already knew the answer, but he wanted to hear it from her.

"Well, my friends and I managed to sell the project we'd been working on. To your company, in fact. After it launches, I'll be able to support myself using my share of the profits."

Chen Mu Sheng nodded. "Yes, I heard of that. Game of Legends, if I recall correctly. My directors told me that they planned to release it in a few weeks, but you insisted to do it by the end of next month."

"Yes. Our exams are coming soon, so we won't be able to work on it for now. Also, most of the other schools and colleges are also having exams around the same time as us. As such, we figured it would be better to release when the semester breaks began." Yan Shu wondered the reason for all these questions, but she figured he was just being thorough.

"Makes sense. Now one last question, where did you learn about business? You gave our representative a run for his money."

"Thanks. I learned it from my parents, when they were still alive. Now, if that's all, I'll be taking my leave."

"Yes, you must have a lot of work to do. It was a pleasure to meet you," he said and extended his hand.

Yan Shu nodded and shook it before turning and leaving.

After Yan Shu left, the show came to an end. Still, Go Jichen managed to get some good laughs out of it. He couldn't believe that Chen Mu Sheng managed to remain composed for so long.
