Sunshine parents died early when she was just 7 years old. At that time, she felt that there's no reason to continue her life in this world. Blessed enough, her grandmother stay with her side until she finally recovered on the painful tragedy she experienced. Her grandmother never gave up on her, until she grew up in a very cheerful, kind and loving woman. 

One day, her envious classmate revealed a secret. But it is her greatest secret that she doesn't want anyone to know. Because she thought that when the time it is expose everyone will turn their back on her.

Hugs of Acceptance

In the study room, she was busy packing her things up after she finished doing her school assignments. Sunshine sighed, close her eyes and and thought. "Why on earth weekend passes by just like a blink of an eye? Where's the justice?" 


She was startled and pick up her phone. It was a message from her best  friend Cindy. 


"My dear baby doll ... ahm ... can you help me tommorow on our assignment? Please? I'll buy your favorite f..."


Not finishing the text message she immediately dialed Cindy's number. 


"Big sis? I thought last thursday you already learned everything. You nodded to me like your head might detached that time. But I ... I was wrong? Too much info? Ahm... .... ... sorry sis"


"No baby doll it's okay. I also thought that it was just easy. But after a long trial to balance everything, still the results are not the same. Maybe another tutorial session again?."


"Of course big sis. No problem! Yeah, it was quite tricky but you can answer it."


"Really? Okay see you tommorow! Night my dear baby doll, mwuah!"


"Okay, bye! See you!" Sunshine giggled.


"Wait!" Cindy immediately said before sunshine could end the call.


She heard sunshine on the other line laughed then after a few minutes the call ended. 


She saw a student on the ground while being bullied by two other student. She immediately ran towards the area and scolded those two.


In an anger face she spoke, "You know that where here in school to study, right? But we're also here to act what we've learned. Does your parents raised both of you to be like this? To bully someone who doesn't even try fight back on you? Ha? Now, both of you are deaf? Why can't you speak? Is GMRC not in your subjects? Oh, I pity both of you." 


The two students slowly bow their heads and froze.


"Want to apologize to her?" Cindy said while helping Sunshine to stand up.


"Sorry Sunshine.. we will never do it again." And the two walked away.


"Can you walk? Come, let's clean it. I have a first aid kit here". 


In the bench, Cindy clean the wound and put the band aid on Sunshine's knee. 


Cindy laughed. "Oh, yes I forgot to tell you my name. By the way, I'm Cindy."


"Thank you so much earlier! I'm very grateful because if you didn't came maybe they will even hurt me more."


"It's okay. Just a little thing!." Cindy said with a proud look.


"Ahm ... Are you new here? A transferee? 


"Yes! A Sophomore in section one." Cindy saw Sunshine's ID and she felt happy because they we're on the same class.


"We're classmates!" Sunshine's voice rose. "Ahm ... How old are you? Ahm ... Just curious. It's okay if you don't want to answer. It's fine."


Cindy was puzzled but decided to answer her. "I'm 14 years old. Why bother to asked?"


"I ... I ... just ... want ... to ask if I can call you my big sis?" 


Cindy giggled. "Of course, you can! Then. Hmmm ... mmm ... I ... call you my baby doll?" 


Sunshine just scratched her head, "Nothing."


Since then Cindy became Sunshine's buddy, as well as her big sister. Their friendship grew strong as years passes by. They will stay with each other's side whether in times of happiness or sadness, a promise they kept on their hearts.
