Sunshine parents died early when she was just 7 years old. At that time, she felt that there's no reason to continue her life in this world. Blessed enough, her grandmother stay with her side until she finally recovered on the painful tragedy she experienced. Her grandmother never gave up on her, until she grew up in a very cheerful, kind and loving woman. 

One day, her envious classmate revealed a secret. But it is her greatest secret that she doesn't want anyone to know. Because she thought that when the time it is expose everyone will turn their back on her.

Hugs of Acceptance

"How's your stay here Sunshine? Did you slept peacefully last night?"


"Yes, uncle I'm fine." Sunshine turned her eyes on her bestfriend Cindy and smiled.


"Wait! The way you smile today compared the last time we see you is different. And it seems like you even look more beautiful today. Cindy does Sunshine already have a suitor or boyfriend?" Cindy's mom asked.


Cindy even spit out a bit of the food she was eating when she heard the last sentence. She first take a glance to his cousin before returning back to his mom. But when she was about to speak Sunshine interrupted her.


"Big sis." Sunshine pulled her skirt under the table with a pleading expression. 


But Cindy didn't refused to shut up. "Mom before anyone try to court my baby doll they will definetely must passed over and pleased me first. I will make sure that my dear baby doll will be at the right hands, to someone who will protect and love her unconditionally. And I will surely kill the one who will hurt her precious heart."


Sunshine pulled again Cindy's skirt and put on a pleading look in her face as if saying to her to stop.


Ian on the side remain expressionless. He was too busy eating his breakfast as if he had his own world. Not knowing that Cindy's last sentence is for him.


"What a protective daughter I have for her dear sister." Cindy's dad said and smiled.


"But aren't you ashame calling Sunshine baby doll? You two are both in college and no longer kids" Her mom asked with curiosity.


"Mom I'm not. I don't care what would they say." Cindy said then smiled. 


"Are you sick?" Cindy then placed the back of her hand on Sunshine's forehead.


"Nope! Just taking my vitamins big sis. Don't worry about me."


It's a text message from Sunshine's grandma.


While typing her response she suddenly felt unbalance when she bumped on something or maybe ... someone? Her phone fell and since her bag was half open her things were also scattered on the floor. Lucky enough, an arm reached her. Her eyes then fell on a man's two pair of brown eyes. She couldn't take off her eyes on him. 


Ian coughed when she saw her glaring at him and blushing. They were on an akward position. 


When Sunshine return to her sense's, she took off her hands on his neck and immediately pick up her things scattered on the floor. 


Ian also help her to pick up her things. "Here!" He handed some books to her.


"Thank you and ... sorry  last night."


"It's okay. You're already forgiven. Sunshine right? I'm Ian ... Ian Osmeña." He then streched her hands.


Sunshine already take one by one all the things on her bag. But still she couldn't find it. 


She immediately grab her phone and dialed Cindy's number. "Hello big sis? Did I disturb you?"


"No baby doll, why? Did you missed me already? Want to accompany you again there tonight?" Then Cindy giggled.


"Uhmm ... Does Ian give you something?" Sunshine asked.


"Ha? Did he stole something from you? What is it? Tell me." 


Sunshine sense that her bestfriend was already angry on the other line. "No! No! No! Big sis calm down. Don't misunderstood it. We bumped with each other before we went to school and my things scattered on the floor. I just thought she had my notebook."


"Baby doll, my cousin don't talk to me about that since I arrived here in our house." Cindy answered.


Sunshine felt sad. "Ah... Maybe I misplaced it to somewhere else. By the way thank you so much for the hug last night big sis. You're the best sister I have."


"You knew I don't want to see you crying right? And will do everything just to make my dear baby doll happy. Don't forget also what your favorite song says, just call my name and I'll be there."
