Chapter 20

Title: Aftermath...

….

After spending the night, with Rias and fu*king her senseless. Haruto gets up from his bed with a half-smile on his face, he can see Rias' body shifting slightly under the sheets.

As he walks towards the bathroom he suddenly feels dizzy and almost falls over. But he puts his hand on the doorway.

*cough*

He coughs in his other hand and when he looks at it, his hand is fully covered in blood.

Haruto winces at this, he then goes to wash his hands and his mouth, going back to as if everything is normal. He is careful to make sure that no blood was on the ground so Rias or no one else would notice something strange.

He did this as if it was routine as if he had done it hundreds of times. Still, in the end, he takes a shower.

After that, he goes and lies down in bed to the sleeping Rias. He has brushed his teeth already, to make sure that even the aftertaste of blood is gone.

Rias is laying on the bed sleeping naked. Her body glistering in the low light.

She opens her eyes and looks at Haruto, she smiles at him. 

"So what are we now?" Asks Rias, unsure of what they even are now. She did what she wanted yesterday, but now is the time to handle the consequences of her actions.

"Lovers." Says Haruto casually. "We probably won't be able to get married, the marriage between a devil and a human isn't good news for anyone involved."

Rias sits up and leans on one of her knees. A smile adorns her face as she gazes at Haruto's nonchalant face.

"You can join my Peerage and become a devil." Suggests Rias, hiding the nervousness she was feeling inside by smiling. "Then we can wait together till the time comes when such things as marriage are allowed."

Haruto smiles at that, he gets close to Rias and gives her a peck on her lips. She blushes at this.

"No need to worry about me dying too early sweetie." Says Haruto, as goes and puts on his school uniform. 

Rias nods at this, believing that as the owner of Abyss Auction, then he must have a lot of ways to extend his lifespan, even as a human.

Rias sighs at this, and in the end, she gets up and walks on her toes towards the bathroom. She looks at Haruto with a coy look but is disappointed a little when she sees that he is looking at his school bag, checking if he has all of the books that he will need for today.

As Rias opens the door to the bathroom, she goes directly into the shower and turns it on.

"Do you have your school uniform with you?" She hears Haruto ask, she is slightly surprised at this.

"Yeah, it's on the left side of the luggage." Says Rias, as she smiles slightly.

"Okay, then what panties do you wanna want today?" Asks Haruto once more, Rias catches on what he is doing and says. "Black, both panties and bras."

"Kinky~" Says Haruto with a teasing voice, making Rias smile at this too. 

"Why? Do you like another color? If you want I can wear them for you." Says Rias, a little curious.

"Hm?... Oh, no need for it. I like black too, especially in panties and underwear." Says Haruto politely as Rias can hear him shuffle around his room.

"Any other colors that you like also?" Asks Rias once more, now being more concentrated on what Haruto is gonna say next than the shower.

"I like Red too." Says Haruto. "I would consider it my favorite color."

Rias blushes at this in the shower as she plays with her hair. "Oh… I see…"

As she is asking that, Haruto has a smile on his face. Knowing what she is getting to.

He has put both her uniform and undergarments on his king-sized bed. He is just sitting on the bed and waiting for Rias to finish showering.

It doesn't take long as she walks outside with a towel wrapped around her. "Are we going to go together to school?"

As she asks that, Haruto answers with a simple. "Yes…"

Rias then starts putting on her clothes and then Haruto sees that she is having a little difficulty strapping her bra, so he goes and helps her, strapping her bra with ease.

Later in the morning, they are walking together towards school and Haruto is telling a story. "Yes, and that is why I never exchange with old wizards. Those guys give me old Franks… what am I ever gonna use those for?.."

As Haruto tells the story Rias giggles at it, finding it funny about how in the beginning Haruto had such difficulties in trading and how some silly customers couldn't understand everyday logic. She could understand, as even she gets those weird medieval contracts sometimes.

She glances at Haruto's empty hand as he talks and explains the story. She wanted to hold hands with him, but she didn't have the courage to do so.

It is weird, as yesterday they did way more, but today she is too embarrassed to hold hands with him.

….

As they arrive at Kuoh Academy, everyone is looking at them as they joke around with each other.

Of course, the male students were glaring at Haruto with death in their eyes. He didn't pay any attention to them, because to him it doesn't matter what they think.

But he did look slightly at the blonde teacher looking at him from the 2nd-floor window. He winces slightly at that, he can only hope that Athena doesn't do something stupid now. He knows just how there can be some 'accidents' happening to Rias. 

'Hopefully, she doesn't do some permanent injury.' Thinks Haruto, as Athena can be very illogical at times and her anger can get the best of her.

….

During school hours, everything goes normally, except Rias staring at Haruto every now and then. But as lunch comes around, Haruto can sense Athena sending him a mana signal, so he can find her.

"Excuse me Rias, it seems like something came up." Says Haruto as he starts walking away with his lunch box in his hand.

Rias nods at that as she sees him have such a serious expression on his face. She can only assume that something with the Abyss Auction came up.

Two minutes later and in a teacher's office, Athena is sitting down behind her desk and she looks at Haruto in front of her who is eating his lunch.

He looks up and sees Athena staring at him intently. He just uses his chopsticks and takes a takoyaki and puts it in Athena's mouth.

"Hm?" She is surprised by this. 

Haruto smiles at her and says. "You seemed hungry, I made this today, how does it taste?"

Once she sees Haruto's smile she can only sigh. "You truly have a way with words Haruto…"

He only smiles at her confusedly. Seemingly unsure of what he even did. 'Am I clear now? Or is she still angry?'

He wasn't sure of what Athena was going to do. She is the Goddess of Wisdom, he doesn't want to mess with her in any way.
