Bloodline Inheritance, Manifestation of an Ancient Power

The massive flash of lights eventually dispersed from the battlefield. With Shotons mighty attack he not only struck down the enemy clansmen but he had also sacrificed all of the Jolt Monsters who were attacking Binomas. They lay strewn about in the battlefield lifeless looking more like pale shattered jewels compared to their brilliant glowing former selves.

But with the dimming of the light, a remarkable scene was revealed, there Binomas was, rolled up into a ball floating in the air, he seemed to be slightly in pain but he remained uninjured and still in one piece.

The strange thing was his appearance had changed. His skin color was now an aggressive pale grey and he had grown larger; he looked at least a third size bigger than his original size.

He opened his eyes that had the aura of a grey starry Galaxy within them, between his brow shone a marking that looked to represent a split mountain. Binomas slowly grinned in glee before he descended to the ground and stood imposingly like he had nothing to fear.

Shoton looked alarmed, it was obvious he had not expected Binomas to survive his powerful assault.

Everything from the timing, to the setup, looked like it should have resulted in a fatal blow. It didn't even look like Binomas had attempted to dodge, taking such a strike head-on should have resulted in anyone's destruction.

But there he was the Patriarch of the Titan Hand Clan unharmed by his killer move grinning ear to ear.

For the first time in the battle, Shoton didn't seem as confident in his victory as he had been before.

"You really were battering me around like a ragdoll weren't you Shoton, you forced me to activate this earlier than I wanted to, but it matters not the result will be the same in the end. Be honored Shoton today you witness the birth and rise of the true heir to the Ancient Titan Bloodline you shall be the first tribute to my glory."

Shoton scoffed, he finally seemed to be losing his temper and visible frustration was seen in his face. It was dishonorable for a higher ranked Ranker to be looked down upon by someone of a lower rank.

"Let me guess you've gone and messed with your genetics yet again Binomas. All you Evolved are the same, you scheme, steal, kill, and sacrifice the dignity of your humanity all for what bigger hands, longer legs, stronger bones, grey skin, you might have gained a little power, but even a crazed monster must still relent and tuck its tail between its legs when facing the unquestionably supreme forces of nature. The Arcane Arts allow Mortal Man to skillfully master such power, allow me to demonstrate to a flesh obsessed imbecile like yourself, the might of those who pursue a proper Path to Ascension."

Shoton defiantly assumed a much more imposing stance in the face of the terrifying mountain-like man's powerful suppression.

He was unwilling to show any kind of fear or weakness as the accomplished Expert he was, he pointed his staff and in the direction of Binomas, and vast amounts of energy swelled up around him, sparks and flashings of light accompanied an eerie screeching and crackling noise that only got louder and faster.

Binomas did and said nothing he only mockingly stared Shoton down as if daring him to throw everything he has at him.

Soon a barrage of lightning bolts, electric balls, and beams of light burst at unimaginable speeds, towards Binomas from all types of directions.

The moment the first beam of light homed in Binomas was already long gone he had dodged the incoming barrage with unnatural speed.

Shoton noticed he was off target, and waved his staff around as if he was drawing in the air and the rest of the projectiles changed direction and homed in on Binomas.

But again Binomas managed to dodge disappearing and reappearing in different spots. Eventually, he reached the spot where he had discarded his mace-like axe.

He wasted no time in picking it up and charging straight towards Shoton. It was time for him to be on the offensive, it was obvious he was looking to make this a close-quarter fight.

Binomas had now gained the speed and agility to close in the distance and become an unhittable target. The difference in power between his old and new self was like night and day.

But as soon as he entered Shotons mid-range perimeter a wall of Jolt's blocked his path.

From the beginning, Shoton had played it safe never neglecting to set up proper defenses which up until now Binomas was unable to get through, the hallmarks of an experienced Expert Ranker who had gone through many battles and tribulations.

But this time Binomas was unphased, he swung his massive axe, and a large wave of energy cleaved through a path for him to pass through.

Binomas could not be stopped; he charged right through, bobbing and weaving through the Jolts attacks unafraid of their power.

Those who got in his way he cleaved in half with a mighty swing or swatted away with his weapons broadside.

The man could not be stopped or so it appeared, right when he had broken through the swarm of Monsters he hit the same invincible forcefield which had neutralized his first counter-attack.

He was finally stopped dead in his tracks and his collision into the forcefield had even damaged him.

In anger, he swung his weapon which had a spike on the opposite end of the axe straight into the barrier again and again.

The sounds of powerful collisions echoed through the battlefield, as Binomas fiercely battered the forcefield with his gargantuan strength.

But his efforts were in vain. It seemed the harder Binomas hit the forcefield, the stronger Shoton glowed, and the stronger the barrier got.

There even seemed to be an electrical field around it that was also growing in size which seemed to cause passive damage to Binomas as well.

It seemed there was nothing that could break the barrier, Shoton only kept getting brighter and brighter, along with his chances of regaining control of the battle.

"Your efforts are in vain Binomas, I've heard of your Ranker spirit weapon The Grey Spirit Bear Axe which also happens to contain magic nullifying properties, but I'm afraid to inform you this shield is not a magic shield, although you mock Volunterras Magon's as inferior to Manaforts, the truth is we subscribe to different ideologies. Manafort's Magons are traditional and rigid, but Magon's from Volunterra such as myself have no qualms in breaking conventional norms, such as not being afraid to utilize non-magical resources, and today the ingenuity of the Magons from your homeland have thwarted your so-called birth and rise to power. With a level of power like that, you will never break this barrier!"

Binomas finally relented and backed off to a safe distance of the barrier's electric field and the Jolt Monsters.

"So it's like that is it, all scrawny Magon like yourself only knows how to hide behind a shell like a weak turtle as soon as the going gets tough and your flashy spells and tricks run their course. In the end, it is only those who possess true Innate Power that can survive the tribulations of War. You were talking about wielding the Forces of Nature. Shoton you fool! I am a force of Nature!"

The marking in Binomas forehead shined brightly and over his being appeared the silhouette of a Titanic hand.

"Tremble in fear before the Ancient Power of a Titan!"

Binomas struck out with his fist and as he did, so did the Titanic fist in the sky.

As the Titan-like extremity moved, the heavens were rended, and the earth shook, the wall of Jolts that defended Shoton was obliterated in an instant.

Surprisingly the forcefield still managed to barely hold on, impressively resisting the cataclysmic impact.

Within it, the visibly anxious and strained Shoton could be seen taking out one blue drink after another and chugging them down like his life depended on it.

The force of the resistance created shock waves that could be felt all the way to where I was laying on top of a hill.

In the end, Shotons efforts were for not, as tragedy ensued.

After a moment of struggle, a sudden shattering shockwave that could be heard all throughout the mountainous area informed everyone that was a witness to the clash of powerhouses of what had occurred.

The forcefield had been shattered.

Following a massive explosion that decimated the part of the road where the remains of Shotons the caravan lay, all that remained was a crater the size of a giant fist.

Everything within it had been flattened out of existence.

A permanent scar and manifestation on the land of a glimpse of the power of the Ancient Titan Bloodline, something that had not been seen in this world since before the new era.
