Meeting him

Lilliana's POV

I ran down the street, hoping to catch them in time, man, it was dangerous! I knew it would be dangerous for me as well, I'm just a small girl, but maybe I could find them first and tell them to go back home, so that nothing would happen.

"Liliana! Here, catch this!", someone shouted behind me.

While running I turned around and catches the sword, Con threw to me.

"Thank you!", I shouted back. I was totally out of breath, I never ran for so long, or so fast before. I wanted to, but my "parents" forbid it. Now that they are away, I'm going to do it.

I looked everywhere in panic, hoping I would find them, but it took me quite a while. I found the traffickers first. Three of them actually, surrounding Erikas parents. (And Cons, I forgott.)

I expected it to be that way but still I was so shocked, I stopped and looked at them with wide eyes.

Con reacted first, he ran past me and confronted them courageous. I really was shocked, how could it happened? I knew the answer but it shook me hard. I was slow to join him, but as I did so, I felt great. My sword felt like a pice of me, which I had lost for a long time.

"Who are you, little kids, to think you could stand against us?", one of them mocked.

I couldn't stand him anymore and so I just pointed my sword in his direction before fighting him. Nothing happened, so I hit, nothing again, he didn't get me, for I was too fast or I somehow knew the moves, but I think, it would be the first one. Next hit!

Maybe there was no one? Only a crazy kid playing around with a sword? No, definitely, there was somebody, there was an enemy, I felt it, I hit something, so there must be something! But why wasn't it hard? Was it that easy to fight?

Somebody fell. Another one as well. How should I survive? Maybe there have been coming more?

I would have to win this fight, but I didn't want to kill anybody! I knew it for sure! Killing is wrong! I had felt the consequences myself, even if I didn't remember it anymore and had to be reminded by the letter of my sister.

Everybody has family, friends, and mates. Even if you kill only one person it is wrong! You're taking the life of somebody, and that is s thing only God is allowed to do. He gave it, he could take it.

I would never be able to kill anyways, I get panic whenever I see blood, even if it comes from a cut, made by the thorn of a rose. I'm just too afraid.

The sooner it would be over, the better it would be. I moved again and hit his sword, so that it fell to the ground with a loud noise.

What should I do now? I didn't want to kill him! But he couldn't even defend himself! How stupid to be thinking that way, to wish for my own enemies that they can defend themselves. I am so silly. But what should I do? And I didn't have the time to do long thinking!

So I just pretended to throw another blow at him but he is fast and runs away. At least!

Was everyone ok? Did I fulfill my mission? I turned around to look to them but they had helped out as well, Con had the first one falling and his father the second one... Both dead people...

Just because of looking at them my vision got blurry and I stumbled backwards, no, no I have to go to them, reach them, just, just... just...

___

Ah, my head ached like crazy, my vision was blurry and I couldn't help but hold my head in my hands.

Where am I?

How did I come here?

What happened?

A deep, hard voice ripped my thoughts apart: "Finally awake?"

Where is my sword? Who is he? Like a long known reflex I gripped my sword, knowing exactly, where it was.

Why the sword? Why didn't I first look who he was? I changed somehow, and that in just this little time.

"First the sword, huh?", asked the cold voice again, "I was told that you are a little different than that, but that shouldn't matter for now."

"What do you want?", I wanted my voice to be hard, to be strong, but in the end it was only weak and silent.

I wanted to know who is speaking with me. It had to be a boy or a man, after the voice. So I looked and searched for his eyes. I want to look into their eyes if I speak with somebody.

He was about sixteen or seventeen. At first he had leaned against the wall, but now he went towards me. In front of my bed he stopped and put one of his hands beside my head. His cold, blue eyes bore deep into me. Not only the look he's giving is cold, no, even his eye color is an icy blue.

"You should stop to fight my men without reason. They're just working.", he explains.

"Which men of yours?", I ask, but I think I know pretty well which men he means.

"You know which ones I mean."

"Then again, why should I?", I respond with a dry laughter.

"Good question.", he admits and chuckles darkly. "We have her."

"Who? Who do you have?", I ask, somehow now filled with panic now. What if he talks about... No, he can't! He just can't!

"Erika"

He has... Erika? But, but how, what's happening? Exactly the one I didn't want him to have!

I storm out the door, only to see her father. He has a worried look on his face. Please tell me this isn't true! I look back in my room, but the boy disappeared. He's gone! He must have jumped out the window!

"Lilliana! Where is Erika, is she with you?", he asks out of breath and worry written all over his face.

"She's gone?", I mutter. "That's impossible! No, it just can't be!"

So he said the truth, she really is under his control. But I will get her back, no matter what!
