The Game Begins

At an underground mansion:

A masked man was sitting on a high leather chair with his legs crossed on the table in front of him. He emitted an aura which made others stay far away from him. His subordinates were profusely sweating due to the aura their boss were emitting.

The masked man asked with a cold voice, "You can't even hack that damn computer."

"No, we are unable to do so because of the high defenses of that computer. I cannot break through the defenses. We do not have that competent hackers in our team."

He nodded his head but did not say anything else.

"If they cannot do it, then I have to ask that person to do it. But contacting that person is difficult. So he thought, 'Then, I have to organize a hacker competition at my company. That person will surely tun up then. But I have to offer something which will entice that person, otherwise that person would not come. I have to do this carefully. Let's see what happens next."

After a while, he instructed his subordinates to make the necessary arrangements. Then he went on to do his own work. The subordinates were shocked to see his boss make arrangement for the hacker competition. They whispered among each other, "Why did Boss suddenly think about organizing a hacker competition?" "Are we allowed to take part?" "I heard that Boss wants to entice a person to come to this competition and take part." "Why would Boss do so?"

These subordinates were young and did not know that they were not allowed to gossip among themselves. The eldest among them came and scolded them, "Don't gossip about anything regarding Boss or his decision. If it reaches his ears, the consequences would be dire. Then, even I cannot save you all."

They were scared and continued doing their own work. They went on to make the necessary arrangements ordered by their boss.

In a private island, in a brightly lit room, Melania was sitting in front a young man. The young man was wearing spectacles and excluding an aura of nobility. His voice was full of confidence when he was arguing with Melania.

"Please try to understand, Aunt. Don't make this harder for me anymore than it already is."

"What do you mean, Xiao Hao? She is my daughter and you are forbidding me from meeting her! How can you do so?"

"Auntie, please try to understand my point. I think it is not the best time to meet her now. I know you are upset. But she must not be disturbed now. She is facing a dangerous enemy. You're her weakest point. If anyone gets hold of you, they may try to threaten her using you. DO you want to do that to your daughter? Do you want your daughter to fail because of you? You are strong, then, why can't you hold on?"

"I understand.", she sighed.

"If you need anything, please feel free to ask me. I don't stay here often, so, you can consider this as your temporary home Auntie. I just hope and request that you do not contact your daughter now. She might be in danger. But her loved ones are in most danger. She is in vacation to someplace to make sure that her loved ones are safe. I had to work very hard to shake off the people trailing me to come here. If she gets ahold of this news, she will leave everything to come here, but she must not get distracted. Once this ordeal gets over, I promise to bring you to her."

"Okay, then I will not make it hard for you Xiao Hao. But keep your promise."

"Sure Auntie. Now be a good girl and eat something."

"Maids, bring food for Auntie."

He patiently fed Melania with his own hands and tucked her to bed. Then, he left the mansion in his private jet.

"She cannot meet Sophie yet. I need to make sure of that. This enemy is dangerous and I cannot risk it. I need to remove the thorns in their path. Huh? A hacker competition. Interesting. Dunno whether they will take part in it. I hope they do. "
