Chapter 3: The Collar

I woke up in the morning around 9 maybe? I don't remember. I put on some shorts and a nirvana t-shirt then put my hair in a super lazy bun. I'm not doing anything today except go to the store to buy butter a couple things.

I walk downstairs and try to be quiet. I make some eggs and toast when I hear butter tumble down the stairs. "Hey, Hey girl".

I sit down on the living room floor then rip a piece of my toast off and through it in the air for butter which she catches.

"Good morning hunny" I look up to see my mom yawning and i look back down at my plate. "Um, good morning" i say awkwardly. "Why are you up so early?" My mom says while getting cereal out of the pantry. I ignore her and lay my plate down on the coffee table and get up. I put on my hoodie even though it's like 60 something degrees outside then hook butter to her leash. "Im going out mom."

I open the door then put my hood over my head. "Where to hunny?"

I ignore her again and shut the door behind me. As we're walking i take a picture of butter with her back facing the camera and her walking then add Silver tone filter then post it on Instagram. I sigh then put my phone back in my pocket. After a few minutes were finally at the store and i step inside. Butter immediately sniffs the air and pulls on the leash towards the treats.

"Oh, butter." I giggle then grab a basket and hang it on my left arm while her leash is in my right hand.

I put in a few bags of treats, a white leashe, a small bag of puppy food, and a bed that I carry. As im fixing to pay, i see a white collar that matches the leash so I grab it and hand it to the lady that scanning everything.

Once we walk out of the store, I sit down on a bench beside the doors and put the new leash and collar on butter. She scratches at it and tries to chew on it. "Funny. She didn't do that to her old one." I think to myself and shrug it off. "Good eye." I look up and see Larry standing next to the bench wearing blue jeans and a blue t-shirt.

"Oh, ugh hey Larry." I say while throwing the tags away.

"What do you have planned for today." Larry asks while putting his hands in his pockets. "Oh nothing just waiting for school to start back. How about you?" I grab my sacks and butters leash then we start walking.

"Oh I was actually just heading to work. Want to come? Butter could play." He sounded really happy and I didn't want to ruin this for him. "Sure why not." We both smile then look back in front of us and blush.
