Chapter 4: Real Doctor

After helping larry at the pound, it was finally 7 and he was off. He walked home with me and butter and we talked the entire way. Once my house house was in sight I hugged him and walked the rest of the way. I let butter use the bathroom before we went inside and my mom was asleep on the couch with The news on. I took off my shoes and butters leash then headed to the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl and poured butter some food.

I saw a pizza box on the table and opened it to see only 3 slices of pizza left.

I put them on a plate then turned off the only light on in the kitchen above the sink and headed upstairs. I sat on my bed and started watching Netflix when i heard a thump on the floor at the end of the bed where butter was. "Butter, are you ok?" I learned over the end of my bed and saw a little girl.

"Ahh!" I started screaming and. jumped up and down in my bed. "Mommy?" The little girl gave me a scared look and scooted to the corner and said mommy. "Mom!, mom get up here!" I heard my mom stumble up the stairs and shoved the door open. "W-whats wrong?" My mom said in between breaths. I jumped over to her and hugged her then pointed at the girl. "Mommy what's wrong?"

The little girl got up and started walking towards me with her arms out to hug me. "Mommy? I can't be a mom im only 18!" I step back but she keeps stepping towards me and finally get close enough to hug me. "Mom please get her off me." My mom taps the girl on the shoulder and she turns into... Butter?! Butter sat down in front of me with her tongue sticking out. I snickered. "You need to take to a vet." My mom says pointing at butter.

I pick her up and pet her. "Did Larry say anything about her?" My mom asks. "Not that i know of." I try but nothing comes to mind. "He said that I was sick." Butter was now in her human form wich startled me causing me to drop her. "I-im sorry." I pick her back up. "I need to take her to a REAL doctor. And me only!." I sit butter down on my bed and dig through the clothes that are too small for me so she didn't have to wear the dirty white dress she had on.

"

Ok but she's going to school because I cant watch her when you go back to school.  I have work."  My mom says.

I find some shorts, a pink shirt, and some white shoes then hand them to butter and she goes in my bathroom to change.

"Mom, I guess she's my daughter? That means I can do whatever I want with her." My mom gives me a sad look and shakes her head then we hear butter walk out of the bathroom.

I turn around and see that she has ears now. "Mommy what do I do with these?" I face palm then dig through my closet for a blue baseball cap and put it on butters head. "Bye... Mom."

I grab butters hand and walk out of my room. "Mommy where are we going?"

Butter looks at me and i shut the door then we head to the hospital. "The doctor."
