Will you stop wanting to kiss me if my teeth rot?

"Are you going to ignore me?" The Devil glowers at Eli. "I know that you can see me."

Eli's eyes are closed. He's a little annoyed because of this cat that talks non-stop. He's trying hard to listen to what the two women are talking about. What kind of person was this Baek Joon-Woo? Both women still talk about a dead boy like this. It's been nearly a decade. Both of them should move on.

Both of them are Baek Joon-Woo's exes. Eli wrinkles his brows. How could they talk like old friends?

Killian? Suddenly, Eli has a new respect for Baek Joon-Woo. The boy did the right thing by beating up that rogue boy who stole his wife's kiss.

Wait! Baek Joon-Woo must have done more to his wife. She's always showing off how experienced she is. What if he isn't better than Baek Joon-Woo in bed? She already compares him with Baek Joon-Woo. Why does he have Baek Joon-Woo's face? It's wrong and unfair. He's way older than Baek Joon-Woo. It was Baek Joon-Woo who was born with his face.

"He looks constipated." The Devil observes. "What is he thinking about?"

Constipated? Yes, Eli is constipated with these annoying jealousy for the guy who is no longer in this world. Even Baek Joon-Woo's soul is gone. When he looked into Baek Joon-Woo's past, he didn't find anything extraordinary. Baek Joon-Woo moved from another city to this city with his family. Apart from his father and mother, he has an older brother who is currently working in a different city.

"Can he really not see me anymore?" The Devil squints his eyes. "Was it a temporary thing? He could see me for a while and then, he stopped seeing me again. That could happen. How do I reappear in front of Litte Marshmallow?"

It looks like this annoying cat thinks that he can't see it. That's good. This cat is notorious. Eli doesn't want to tell Nell that he is a ghoul. He's afraid that she might detest him. Humans don't like creatures like ghouls. Then, she might consider him to be an illusion too. What if she is triggered when he tells her and then, she remembers everything?

He needs to talk to Benny about this cat. Though the murder case has been resolved, they know that something is after her.

Evie Meyers comes out of the door. She gives him a glance. "Baek Joon-Woo was better looking."

"He was also a better kisser than Little Marshmallow. This guy gets hard after hearing sadistic words. Baek Joon-Woo was definitely better. At least, that boy was human and normal." The Devil grins at Evie. "But then, how would you be able to tell if Baek Joon-Woo was better kisser? His first kiss was with Nell. He never kissed you when he dated you. You only held hands."

Evie can't hear the Devil's rambling. She walks away from them. The cat runs after her, still making fun of her. Eli covers his face. The Devil's dark words have blown his pride to pieces.

Baek Joon-Woo was a better kisser than him. Why was someone so young better than him in this matter?

After a while, he goes inside the ward. Nell raises her brows when she sees his sad face. "What happened to you?"

"Wife." Eli takes her hands to his chest. "I am a quick learner. I will gain experiences with you and become better in no-time."

Nell looks at him, confused. "Get better at what?"

"Kissing." Eli sits beside her and stares at her lips. "Want your lips."

This guy! Nell lets out a deep breath, exasperated. It can't be helped. She leans closer to him and presses her lips on his, startling him. She closes her eyes and moves her lips against his, probing him with her tongue.

He becomes still. Is she really kissing him? She's not confused, is she? Her lips are not sweet and yet he can't call them anything else other than sweet. She cups his face and kisses him harder.

It's cold, but spring is blossoming in his heart. Suddenly, she pulls away and takes long breaths. Eli looks at her, trying to find who did she kiss. Was it him or Baek Joon-Woo?

"Don't look at me like that." She looks away, flustered. Her ears are burning red. " I didn't brush today. I was only testing if my mouth smells."

Eli blinks his eyes at her.

"You look grossed out." She shakes her head in annoyance. "Go and wash your mouth if it is still bothering you."

Testing what? He didn't even notice it. He's sure that her lips taste like moonlight and honey. "Wife, your mouth doesn't smell."

She glares at him. "Stupid."

Certainly, this is fun. Eli moves his face closer to her. "Wife, when will I get a proper kiss?"

"You are never going to get it." She puts her hand on his face and pushes him away. "You are too stupid to get a proper kiss from me."

But he is waiting for the day when she would kiss him and say that it's a proper kiss. "Let me clean your mouth. It smells a little."

"It does smell, huh?" She gives him a smile that doesn't meet her eyes. "You want to clean my mouth with your tongue?"

"Yes, I do." Eli nods furiously. He's keen. Let him do it. He will clean it thoroughly.

Nell pulls up her sleeves and grabs his ear. Without mercy, Nell twists his ear with all her strength. "Since my mouth smells, it's better if I never give you a proper kiss."

"Wife, I am sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I was only joking." Eli's tears are real. He's not in pain because she's twisting his ear. It's ticklish. But he is afraid because of the rage in his wife's eyes. "Your lips smell heavenly. Believe me. I want to taste them for eternity."

"Is that so? Then, I am not going to brush for days." Nell lets go of his ear and gives him a dark smile. "I am going to eat a lot of garlic and onions from now on. I want to see how heavenly my mouth smell to you then."

But isn't that too much? "Wife, are you sure? Your teeth will rot."

"Why? Will you stop wanting to kiss me if my teeth rot?" Nell asks him with storms in her eyes.

"No, of course not…" Eli laughs a little. Why did it get out of his hands?

"It doesn't matter. I will never kiss you properly," Nell grumbles, still angry.

"Stupid husband! He doesn't even know how to kiss back."

"..."

He's not stupid. He was only confused. "Wife, forgive me. Let me kiss you back."

"You lost the opportunity."

"Wife, please."

"Not happening."
