This extraordinary darkness

This is annoying.

The way he is looking at her makes her feel bad. She didn't do anything wrong, but she feels like she has done something horrible.

Why does she have to feel bad for him? He can go to hell.

"Can you wear a shirt?" She scowls darkly. "Whether I am eighteen or twenty-seven, this is rude."

"We have already seen each other naked," He tells her with a small voice. "And we have done a lot of things. If you are curious, I can tell you."

"You are lying," Nell yells at him. "I don't believe you."

"Fine." He tilts his head with disinterest. "I am angry with you right now."

"So what?" She looks at him questioningly. Why is everything irritating about him? Why is he even telling her that he is angry? Does he expect her to coax him? As if she would do that!

He releases his breath. "Okay, I will take my pants off."

Nell gapes at the man, trying to decipher the connection between pants and anger. "Are you joking?"
