Her Phone ~ 11

CHAPTER 11

Amelia put one of the reserved signs at the booth and as she did so I heard her say "so you can sit without being hassled by customers, spirit" under her breath.

I felt like an angel, watching over an innocent young woman who had big life dreams and goals. It sounded pretty odd when I said it aloud to myself but it was true, I felt as though I was in a movie.

I needed to get to the hospital where my body was, where they took the photo.

As soon as Amelia left her phone at the reserved booth table I snatched it up and went on the news feed again.

I saved it and took screenshots of the image of me.

Speedily, I put the phone down where it was and watched intently as Amelia picked it up and flicked through her social media.

Not long after picking it up she slid it into her white apron pocket and walked off to serve some customers.

"Damnit" I muttered to myself in disappointment, I was soo close to showing her the article and maybe even getting driven to the hospital to see my... Body...

It felt strange saying it in that way, because I had my body but, the body I was seeing was my souls body and not my skin or bones. The whole ordeal confused me a little yet everytime I dug deeper I became more interested.

The evening dragged on from opening time to at 12:30 to closing time at 7:15. It might not have seemed like a long time but when you had nothing else to do, it was torture.

Finally, Amelia put down her phone so she could doodle some more. By this time the shop was closed and there were no people. I think she was taking a little doodle break before finishing off for the night.

Sneakily I slid her phone across the table with my pinky. I saw her glance at it and then look back at her paper. She knew what I was doing.

"hey, so I.. Um.. Noticed you are sliding my phone around. You can go on it if you want... I don't wanna scare you or anything." she spoke with such caution that even a traumatised bunny would be calmed.

I pulled open the notes app on her phone, by then she was staring down at the screen moving by itself. I pasted a picture of me in the hospital bed and I pasted the link to the news article and then I typed some words of my own...

If there was any way to talk to her this had got to be the way....
