CHAPTER 5 : Sweet Rejection

Riya thought for a while before answering "Umm.., Actually I already have plans with my roommate, so I wouldn't be able to make it. I am sorry."

After this Riya looked at Zoya as if to signal her to say something.

"Yes Kunal, we have some plans."Zoya said understanding the meaning behind Riya`s stare.

Kunal was now left in despair. He never expected to be led down by a girl he asked out. He stood up and pushed his chair in which made a creaking noise while on the other hand Riya was just blankly looking down at her sipper which was half empty with some delicious vanilla thickshake.

He said in disappointment "Its okay, maybe next time."

The guy was now just going back to his friends who were waiting for him to come to them so that they could laugh at him as hard as possible when suddenly a bell rang, it was time for the next class. Everyone got up after finishing their food and wandered in the cafeteria. Soon the place was left with only a few people who probably were planning to miss the class on purpose.

"Stop hanging down that stupid face of yours" a guy said trying to stop chuckling.

"Max, you really don't know how bad it feels to be dumped by someone, even before something started and especially when you are like one of the most coolest guys in the entire campus. Its a complete shame."

"Kunal, maybe she really has plans, or she already has a boyfriend. Even better, she trying to play hard to get. Aryan said.

Kunal now looked up at Aryan with a rather pleased look on his face."I like the 3rd reason. That means I still have a chance with her."

"You do have a chance. Make sure you impress her this time."

"Yup you are right."Kunal said completely believing what Aryan had just told him.

"And please don't act too desperate. She needs to know how fortunate she is, that she got a chance to be your girlfriend."

Max who was casually walking and listening to the conversation now told "The Freshers night is a week later. Imagine Kunal, you can dance with her after asking her out. And according to my theory of love, people do fall for someone head over heels when they have a slightly intimate dance with someone."

"Whoa, you guys know how to lighten up my mood so easily." Kunal said.

"Well now let's go brighten up our mind. We have Anatomy class now."Aryan told with a smile.

In room 118 of the girl's dormitory, two girls were sitting on their study tables and studying with concentration. When one of them turned to look at the other and said "Riya, you are the heir to such a huge company of your parents. We can understand you are in this college for Aryan, then why are you studying the medical course with so much concentration? Or is it just a plan to get closer to Aryan as even he is a medical student?"

"No Zoya, my parents always wanted me to become a doctor. Even I love this occupation. That's why I am doing it. Aryan doing the same source is just a mere coincidence."

" And what about your other hobbies and fields of interests?" Zoya asked.
