Reset, Destruction (1)

Although he had these cool abilities, his gut was currently telling him that his current strength was still not sufficient to fight off the weird, runic life form.

Heck, he doesn't even know if he could remove it from the garden's ordered system. It basically infested it and continued to replicate errors in the system, like a virus continuously creating copies of itself, both defective and evolved copies.

Maybe, it could get affected by Time stop, but how long would it last? 30 seconds? 1 second? or not even at all? What is worse, it may develop to be more resistant to the power by analyzing the spell's basic runic structure, before continuing to replicate again in the ordered system of the pocket garden, slowly corrupting everything residing and born in it.

Create a black hole and eject the runic lifeform past the universe and straight into the void? That involves completely removing the runic lifeform from the ordered system, and right now, he doesn't have the capacity to do that.

Xander thought of all possible, non-destructive ideas before vetoing them all in the end, and what's he's left was one option. Eradication of the pocket space. That was the best choice.

First and foremost, after he had surrounded the pocket space with origin elements, he then disconnected every single karmic thread and every single dimension of the pocket space had access to the ordered system outside. At the same time, he wanted to chuck in the pyramid-shaped remains of the pocket space ruins into the garden, but once again, his senses indicated severe danger if he did so. With the help of the System, he analyzed the situation and came up with two conclusions:

The remnant can be used by the virus to activate the dead part of the runic life form, allowing it to have a complete existence once more, which might allow it to escape the binding he had placed.

The remnant may actually contain a living part of the runic life form, indicating that his initial destruction of the pocket space was not enough to kill it. Which would indicate that the runic lifeform was a life form beyond Sage class or even higher than the ceiling of the Universe's power threshold.

After complete isolation, he left the beasts and sprites inside that he didn't remove, all deeply asleep. They were never to wake up again from their beautiful dreams. It was a hard decision for Xander. He loved them, loved each and every one of them, especially since he got to know them more and more clearly in the past years inside the pocket space.

To kill them is basically mercy for them right now. He had seen their near futures and their current states: there was a fundamental change in their being, especially those recently born. They were, in a nice way, formed crippled, demented, or crazy, but were able to keep these thoughts within them, fermenting and become more demented than the rest. It was waiting to erupt to cause cataclysmic destruction within the garden.

Those who lived for a long time in the garden, even before the change into a pocket space, were also slowly changing, their abilities distorting, their biological aspects morphing into something else.

However, it wasn't deeply ingrained and can easily be remedied with a full-on [Space-Time Reversal] under the [Absolute Time] and [Absolute Space] category. Given that they were no stronger than Mythic magicians, a nascent attempt of utilizing fused spells of the two elements didn't bring too much burden for Xander.

Although he loved them like his own children, he was technically just 7 years old. He quite valued his life, thank you very much.

He also rationalized to himself that he can just create more of them in the future, anyways.

Although that sounded callous to anyone who might hear it, that's just the cycle of life. Even other magicians, once they had broken through their restrictions in life, would change their view of life from a short-term to long-term perspectives.

Death of several relatives? It's ok, there are other members that can take up their tasks in the family.

My clan completely destroyed by a powerful magician? It's also ok, I can still reproduce. I'll take revenge if I can or wait and scheme against this magician.

My business collapsed… in this planet. I'll write it off as a loss then, the other businesses on other planets are still thriving beyond the galaxy, well enough to shoulder the loss.

Even if he destroyed this pocket space, because of its semi-independent nature from the ordered universe it is placed in, there is still a connection between the two, such as the reincarnation system for the idea of 'existence' and 'soul'. The creatures he would eliminate, a bit of their pure and clean essence would be recycled by the universe, existing in a different state.

However, what Xander was doing was completely wiping of the possibility of that and the possibility of returning to the universe, cutting off all connections with the universe just to ensure he wouldn't set up any flags that would lead to his demise down the road.

Although deep down he knows this, he believes there would be a better place beyond their deaths. It might not be in this universe, it could be in the void, whatever happens to this pocket space once he completely eradicates it in the universe, that life might appear once again.

He closed his eyes and took one last look at the garden. This time, he forcefully commanded the ordered system in the pocket dimension to self-destruct, destroying and annihilating every single thing.

As soon as the command was issued, the ordered system was destroyed, and the remnants of the runic lifeform could be visibly seen this time appearing in the collapsing space-time dimension, screeching at the direction of where Xander was, who could see it even without activating [Divine Eyes].

The elves were still in deep sleep, unbothered that slowly, their bodies were disintegrating, evaporating into pure motes of light. At that moment, the runic sequence began to fight back, awakening a few of them, allowing them a trace of lucidity as they slowly disintegrated. Not only that, the magical beasts were also awakened.

A few of them began to scream, some began to frantically use their powers to destroy their surroundings or protect themselves. However, they were young, and they didn't have much control of their powers; their resistance was futile and easily, they disintegrated too and evaporated into pure motes of light. The older ones, a lot of which were those whom Xander had known, began to cry, bawling at the unfairness of their creator, while some of them began to simply smile and accept their demise.

They knew something was wrong with them, as there was something pervasive affecting them.

At their moment of nonexistence, they could feel whatever was affecting completely gone, and they regained their whole self, before disappearing as well.

In fact, the sentient grass, who remained in the dimension, merely sighed in sadness and waved his final goodbye to wherever Xander was, before disintegrating into motes of light as well.

'He' was unaffected by the runic writing initially, but the nutrients or the basic elemental foundation of the space he was in were not, and these things were slowly evolving and infecting him. 'He' who never had a chance to be named also knew the best way for this to end was through complete annihilation.

After a while, no magic beasts, sprites, or sentient beings were alive, and only the runic lifeform was still struggling, attempting to find a way out of the collapsing space. It was attempting to open up the channels where the ordered system was linked to the universe, but Xander had already cut off the connection while also sealing these channels.

He could see what was happening within the pocket dimension, the struggle of the runic writing to exist and escape from utter disintegration and removal from the universe.

It began to use the rules in ways Xander had not expected, the elements were within its grasp, but it could do no damage to the pocket space.

The runic's actions actually hardened Xander's resolve to eliminate the creature. He began to collapse the pocket space, forming another condensed, crystalline orb, floating in the air. He inspected it clearly to avoid issues from appearing. Multiple layers of space-time and other origin element structures were placed, before Xander then activated two of his spells, [Void Hole] and [Shattered World].

This was to ensure that space, where the pocket dimension was placed at the moment, was completely separated from the universe before he opened up a hole and chucked the space around the crystalline orb into the void. After chucking it out, he closed the void and he used [Ragnarok] on the remaining space that he disconnected from the universe.

The appearance of the completed spell looked like a fuse, as it rapidly expanded, causing everything to collapse and be destroyed within 10 seconds, and the area looked like a primordial soup of matter and broken elemental particles and their rules, representations damaged and distorted by the Destruction rule of the Chaos element. There was no order, no magic or runic structures within, but simply the amalgam of magic and elemental particles.

This broken area was simply the size of his dining table, but due to its size and the restrictions Xander had placed beforehand in the villa, the effects weren't obvious or noticeable for those outside or those that utilized spells/machines to spy/monitor him, especially within his own room.

After 10 seconds, the area began to coagulate and compact itself, creating a spatial void in the area. Everything in it, the elements and the material and immaterial matter, is all reduced to the purest, creation energy, before coalescing into a Seed of Life, which he immediately kept. With his enhanced sensitivity to the will of the universe, he saw that the spatial void began to fill up with the power of the ordered system.

He then used his powers to scan the surrounding space and his body as well, checking the situation of his enemy, to see whether it managed to escape again or not. Upon seeing no anomalies around him or in his body, he heaved a sigh of relief.

He then looked around and shook his head. There was a bit of a problem: His room was totally destroyed, and looked like a starry sky, per se, but is actually more of the purest ordered system structure that can be found governing the universe. Material, or matter, has collapsed within the room even if it was protected by barriers and restrictions. IF someone attempted to open the door to his room, they would not see a room, but a space of endless, glistening stars in the darkness, seemingly with no end.

Of course, this was an illusion, and how space can easily distort the order of the material realm since the latter was based or is supported by the former.

Basically, if someone was a Sage rank and was attempting to create his or her own universe, this would be a good place to look at.

Xander thought for a moment of a possible solution to fix the area before coming up with a solution: Add the origin elements in the area and let them do the job of recovering it. At the same time, he tried connecting to the ordered system, but with no avail. It seems even with his current abilities; he still couldn't influence the ordered system as he did with his pocket dimension.

Xander released and channeled the Order and Chaos elements, followed by the 3 paired origin elements, fixing up the spatial void. It was quite slow; it would probably take months before the task is finished. He tried to speed up the time, but immediately returned it to normal when he saw the starry spatial void shake violently, producing creaking sounds.

Speeding up time is out of the options then. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait, Xander said to himself. In the meantime, he connected the secret pathway to his laboratory to the room opposite to his bedroom and transferred to that room for the next few months.

Xander then headed down to the pocket laboratory to check the situation, repeating the scanning process. After he finished, he saw that everything was normal and there wasn't much to worry about. After checking up on the small garden and the mineral deposits in the small mountain inside the laboratory, he left the pocket dimension and headed to the Villa's garden once again.

The garden was bare; there was only soil and a few grasses growing. All the cultured rosebushes, tree brush, and rows of different colorful flowers were gone. Xander momentarily felt sad, before strengthening his resolve once more. He wouldn't make the same mistake again.
