Whispers of the past 1

3rd POV

It took Dea an embarrassingly long time to come back to reality and process the information that she had just received. Part of her was hinting at her missing memories, that she would find answers that she sought there, but despite her curiosity, this wasn't what bothered her at the moment the most. She felt ashamed and full of self-hatred.

Caelum, whom Dea has known the longest from all of her subordinates, quickly noticed his master's guilt and self-blame and knew the root of the problem.

"It is not your fault." He said clearly and instantly drew Dea's attention. "It is not your fault Mistress. You didn't do this. You couldn't have known."
