Strange Encounter

Chapter 9

After we finished practicing at the Music Club to prepare for the upcoming School Festival, I felt somewhat tired. Since this is Kevin's last year in high school, we thought of making a memorable memory, so the each of us sang solo, that's why I felt a bit drowsy. We grabbed a bite at the WcDonald and as we were walking by, when I saw Lyan and Keith inside a restaurant on the opposite side of the road. She is happily enjoying her time with him, I thought that I should just move on since she found her own happiness.

After I came home, I took my dinner and entered my room. I thought of taking a walk this hour to kinda relieve my suffering. So I wore my favorite outfit, which as you might think, kind of weird. For my top I wore a black hoodie, for the bottom, I wore a black jogger pants, and a black converse shoes. After I got out of the house, I rode my bicycle, my destination is a place where it oversees the sea.

I reached a side of a road where it overseas the sea, so I parked my bike there. I stood up from there, staring at the sea that is being radiated by the moonlight. I put on my earphones and listened to some music. I made me extremely relaxed, as I stared the scenery and listening to some relaxing music. I thought I was the only one but I saw someone sitting on a rock on the shore facing the sea, I can't clearly see the person's face because obviously, I can only see her back. The person is also wearing also wearing hoodie. The person is so focused looking at the sea and didn't even noticed me at the back. Which I thought of it, kinda dangerous if some kind of drunkard or thugs is roaming. I paid no attention of the person anymore and continued to what was I doing.

Then speak of the devil, some kinda group of 4 drunk middle aged people are walking on the shore. The direction that they were going is the direction where the person is. If something bad is gonna happen, I may resort to violence if I have to. Moments past, as the group were about to past the person, one of them stopped,

"Hey hey hey, look, a beauty,", said the man said to his buds, pointing to the person while having difficulty standing straight.

"Ahahahaha, what a lucky day!", said the other one as he bursted into laughter.

I didn't expect that the person is a girl, since I can only see her back. But from the other side, you can clearly see her face since it is being radiated by the moonlight. When the girl heard what the drunkards said, she is stood up from where she sat and started moving backwards going to the direction of the ladder that goes up the road. A hint of nervousness could be seen from her movements.

"Hey! Since you're here, why don't you entertain us a bit?", said the other one, then he told the last person, "Hey, bring that girl to me.", while pointing to the girl. When the person heard the orders, he immediately gave a chase. The person that went for the girl is not like the others that is having difficulty in his movements.

In my opinion, a girl is someone that needs to be treasured, and not to be treated badly. Just from that reason alone, makes me so angry.

At the back, I became alerted, and I immediately wore a face mask to cover my identity. As you may already know, I was a delinquent when I was a bit younger. I immediately went to the ladder's location and jumped to the person who chased. When I jumped, my foot hit his face perfectly and he got knocked down. Just to make sure, I kicked his balls so hard that he groaned so loud. Then I went to the other three, since, they're drunk, it's easier for me to toy them. Kicking their balls, as they groaned together. When I was still a delinquent, that is my famous move, the 'Descendants Finisher' .

Since I found an opening to escape, I hurried up the ladder and grab the hand of the girl. I could not see her face because of the dark but when I touched her hand, such extreme gentleness I felt. I got up my bicycle and let her sit on the passenger sit. And I hurriedly pedaled my bicycle, away from the direction we're from.

As we gained distance from those people, the girl bursted into laughter,

"Remembering how you beat them, I can't stop myself from laughing.", then she became serious, "Still, I'm very thankful that you came to aid me.", she added, while having a gentle smile.

"I'm just lucky that they're drunk, or else, I might already be dead by now.", I laughingly replied, trying to hide my fluttered face.

"Oh, one thing, why are you even there in the first place?", I asked with curiosities.

"Same goes to you", she replied, "Well, thinking of some things.", she added.

I stopped by a side of the road, then she got down from where she sat.

"Are you sure that you don't need me to send you to your home?", I asked her, worried.

"No, It's okay, my house is only a few houses away. Also, thank you so much for your help today, I could never repay it.", she said, bowing.

"Then, I think that it's time to bid farewell. Goodbye.", said I to her, waving my hand. Then she waved back and started walking, when I finally can't see her, that is the time when I started to drove my way back.

When I entered my room, my body got even more tired due to the things that happened. But I'm very glad that I met that girl. I never got to see her face because she was covering it. Speaking of her, 'Sh*t! I never got to ask her name.', I thought, sighing.

The class ended, as I was about to walk out of the classroom when I heard some girls of the class talking.

"Your 'Night and Shining Armor' finally arrived, eh?", said a girl with a bit of laughter.

"Aaaww, that's so sweet.", said the other one.

"I already have someone I like. Still, I'm very thankful to him for saving me.", said by my classmate, Christina.

I became quite puzzled as to the voice is familiar, but I came to a conclusion that it is purely coincidental. After that, I did not pay close attention to them and got out of the classroom with my companion.

Everytime her voice resounded, I kinda felt a feeling of warmth. My heart beats faster when I think about her touch and when she held my back. I had high hopes that we will meet again.
