The Record Keeper and the Champion

In front of me is a human… No more like something that resembles a human? It has the basic outlines of a human. Limbs, head, a body but… Just… What's up with being all white!? It has everything that a human has except maybe the face and the skin basically the thing in front of me is made out of pure white something that's shaped into a human.

"Is my appearance disturbing you that much?" (?)

"Less on disturbing, more on horrifying. Are you even human?" I ask the human-shaped white dude(?) It's confusing as hell. Even when speaking it's disturbing to see its teeth when I can't even clearly see his face. The smile on its face is the stuff of nightmares.

"Haha! Very well, let me change into something you'd find more comfortable." (?)

The moment he said those words his appearance changed into a man around 60-70 years of age. He has purple hair that's already turning gray and a black suit matching his body type. His sky blue colored eyes gazed at me filled with curiosity and something else?

"So, why my Father?" The thing that's been talking to me took the appearance of my Father, the last I saw him was just minutes ago so seeing his appearance like this doesn't calm me down.

"I believe this is the form that you'd be most comfortable with." (?)

A sigh escapes my mouth. Whatever is happening is ridiculous, I say that and I've seen a lot of different Quirks already.

"Alright, no more of that. This is confusing as hell. What am I doing in this place?"

"You seem awfully calm about this." (?)

"I am lazy, I admit that fact but I am not incompetent. I already know I have no escape as I can't even use my Quirks in this strange room and seeing as how there aren't any doors that could be used to exit this place… At least any visible ones I'm sure you're a professional and that you've done this before."

"So you believe that I am a kidnapper?" (?)

"What else could you be other than that?"

"A god." (?)

The answer of whatever it is in front of me made my brain stop thinking for a few seconds before its chuckling brought me back.

"God? You're one of those then."

"One of those?" (?)

"The people that believe they're gods simply because they have powerful Quirks. I've heard of people like you before and I've even seen one before."

I hate these types of people the most. They think they're special only because they got powerful Quirks. I have pretty powerful Quirks but you don't see me running around shouting "I'm god! I'm god!". Honestly, if you ask me, they are the worst of the worst because they would do anything they believe they are entitled to.

"I can see your point and why you'd believe I'm someone claiming to be Me. After all, humans have developed far quicker than I had hoped they would. Still, believe me, or not I am still Me. The Creator, the Giver, the Everything." (?)

"… Alright, Mr. Creator what did you want from someone like me? Aside from being a Prince in Genosha, I have no other redeeming quality. So is there something you need in Genosha?"

"Genosha? That country made by your Grandfather? Nothing, I have no need for a country. What I do need however is someone capable of destroying one with his powers." (?)

I look at Mr. Creator warily because of his words. Destroy a country? Doesn't that sound so much like what a terrorist would do? Great, a terrorist who thinks himself a god. Just someone you'd want to meet on your way home.

"Haha! No, I am not a terrorist nor do I truly want you to destroy any country. What I wish for you is to become my Champion." (?)

"Champion? I've read comics and novels before so I understand what a Champion is to a god. They're some sort of representative of the god that chose them, right?"

"Yes, so what do you say? Want to be my Champion?" (?)

I answered without any hesitation whatsoever, "No way. That's way too troublesome. Besides if you're really god and that you're really choosing me as your Champion then that means trouble will come my way once I accept that. So only an idiot would accept being some gods Champion!"

The moment those words left my mouth I felt a sudden pressure I've never felt before press against my shoulders making me kneel on the ground. It isn't just the pressure making me kneel, the fear I am feeling is something else. It feels like the fear I am feeling is normal to have in front of the being in front of me that I should have felt this the moment I saw him smiling at me.

"Child, while I may appear amiable to you that is only because you serve My purpose. If you truly do not wish to be affiliated with a God such as Myself, you no longer serve any purpose for Me.

Should I not just send you back your world and end it? Be reminded however that your safety will no longer be of My concern. Whatever happens to you as you travel back to your world is not My fault." (?)

Fuck. Of course not, you're not the person that brought me here without my consent and definitely not the one blackmailing me to become your Champion.

"Alright, Mr. Creator. Please make me your Champion, help me reach my full potential to better serve your purpose."

Gods that felt weird to say… Well, at least the pressure has disappeared. It's no longer pushing me down allowing me to sit back on the chair I've been sitting on.

"You learn fast child. That is good because what you're going to do you will need to be adaptable to change." (?)

"What is it that I'll have to do then?" I ask with a frown on my face completely forgetting the fact that I could get killed just by annoying the being in front of me.

"Simple. You will do just as your Father has asked you to do. You will be a Hero, you will do good deeds in worlds that are under My control. Just so you may know, I have three different worlds I'm in control of. Your world plus two others." (?)

I still call his words bullshit but I'll keep all that to myself, I don't want to die just yet and if being a Hero is what it will take to survive then so be it.

"Let me first introduce Myself to My Champion then. I am the Record Keeper Ajitkumaar, a God in charge of three records. While you will be My Agent that will help guard the records I watch over." (Ajitkumaar)

Basically, some sort of security guard that will help in times of need when a record he's watching over is under threat. That's good and all, I won't have to travel to different worlds that much.

"As a reward, I shall give you no more than three wishes. Wishes that could help you in surviving and performing your duties as My Champion. That is why you must choose your wishes correctly or suffer." (Ajitkumaar)

Wishes? Is this some prank from elder brother? Or am I dreaming? The last thing I remember before waking up here is falling asleep in the car, so maybe? Well whatever, it's not troublesome to think of wishes. More like I'll gladly do so. Even if in the end it's just a hoax it won't hurt me a bit.

I slowly tell the god in front of me the wishes I want and judging by his facial expression (gods it's still weird to see my Father's face on it) he doesn't seem to find my wishes extravagant.

"Are those your three wishes?" (Ajitkumaar)

"Yes," I say to the being in front of me still full of doubt.

"Your first wish is to have a private space that you and others could live in. A dimension of your own just like My dimension. I can see the practicality and usefulness of such a space for you, granted." (Ajitkumaar)

As the being that claims to be a god said "granted" golden light enveloped me for a few moments before the golden light entered my body.

I could see it in my mind, the space that has been given to me. My bedroom in that space is empty given the fact that I've just obtained it and have yet a time to redecorate. The living room where I could entertain guests is also empty save for the doors and windows but I could tell those are fakes as they do not lead anywhere.

It's real. He really does have the ability to grant wishes, is that his Quirk? Or is he really a god?

"The second wish is a dungeon system that will allow you to grow stronger the more you kill in the dungeon. Amusing wish, I shall grant it to you My Champion." (Ajitkumaar)

The same golden light appeared as earlier and surrounded me. A few moments later it also entered my body and once again I could see it when I close my eyes. I could see my own space grow larger and then I could see that in the living room the fake doors from earlier have become truly functional as they lead to the dungeons I've wished for. Before the situation could sinking in the being or the Record Keeper disturbed his thoughts.

"Your final wish, an armory where you could keep your equipment. Very plain wish not fitting for a Champion of Mine. I shall modify this wish.

What I shall give is an Inventory where you can keep everything you wish. This space will be connected to your own dimension and it shall be your Storage area.

Also because the armors you have in mind are something I find lacking, I shall give you armors that increase your defense and weapons that not only give you strengthened attacks but also extra abilities depending on what material your weapon is made from." (Ajitkumaar)

This time the golden light stayed for a few more moments than the other times. I could feel the golden light changing something within him. Whatever is happening inside of me it could only be good because I could feel myself getting stronger.

When I opened my eyes again I could see myself covered in some kind of armor. I try searching for a mirror in the room to find out what armor I'm wearing however seeing as there isn't any I give up the thought for now.

"I take it that you like My gifts." (Ajitkumaar)

"Yes," I answer the Record Keeper this time with respect added on my voice.

"Good. I shall remind you of your duties as My Champion. You are to keep the balance between good and evil in the records that have been assigned to me. A Hero that will keep the darkness at bay and the light as is.

I shall send you back then My Champion. Be prepared for in a few months time I shall send you to a different record where you will be a Hero. Learn as much as you can in your world on how to be a Hero." (Ajitkumaar)

He's been reading my mind, hasn't he? The questions I haven't asked he answered them and even the questions I'm still forming in my head don't get past him. I guess even me cursing him didn't get unnoticed, it's good he's patient.

As my thoughts drifted to random things I find myself inside the car once again. I marveled at the fact that the Record Keeper can send me anywhere with a thought just like that. The car stopped and my bodyguard came out to open the door.

"Young Master, we're back." (?)
