In the genetic research lab. Miren was in the same spot as usual. Cain quickly found her and started talking to her as usual. Once they had talked for long enough, Cain decided to pop the question
"You know Miren. We've been talking a lot, and I'm just wondering if you'd like to go out somewhere"
Miren's face instantly blushed upon hearing the question
"Li-like a date?"
"Well, yeah I suppose…"
It was a weird difference. When she was talking about genetic research she was extremely focused and well-spoken, however the second it came to talking about anything romantic, she would become shy and quiet down"
"If you don't want to, that's fine too"
"No, no. I'd love to go out somewhere with you"
"That's great, I already have the perfect place in mind. Let's go!"
"You mean right now?"
"No better time than the present"
Cain guided Miren out of the research lab. The two went to a superb restaurant that Cain had heard of in the past. Cain converted some of his contribution points to credits. Credits were the universal currency, Cain had also used them back on earth, however those were union credits which value was only about 1/100 of a regular credit. Once they got there Cain wanted to strike up a conversation but wasn't really sure what to talk about, the only thing he really knew about Miren was her interest in genetic research. Luckily, Oldman Belmon had his back in scenarios like these
"Stupid, just ask her what her interests are"
After hearing Oldman Belmon's advice, Cain spoke up.
"So Miren, are you interested in anything other than genetic research?"
"I also love reading books. The only problem is that I've read through pretty much everything the genetic research lab has to offer. Now I'm re-reading them all…"
Cain noticed that when Miren was talking about something she was comfortable with, she seemed to open up a lot. He decided to keep his momentum going and kept learning new things about her.
"Miren, with your talent, what you are doing at the Divine Perception Sect? There are probably places where your talent would be put to much better use"
"My grandfather is the only reason I go here"
"Your grandfather?"
"Yes… He used to go to this sect when he was younger and developed a bond for it. He said that only when I reach the peak of the sect, will I be allowed to go somewhere better."
"That's a strange request, don't you think?"
"Sometimes, but I think it's just my grandpa's way of testing me. He wants to see if I can succeed without his help"
The two soon finished their meal. However the date wasn't over yet, Cain took her to an amusement park that was famous on Divine Perception Planet, in fact its most famous ride was called the Divine Mountain Splash Ride. Miren and Cain talked and laughed, as they rode the different rides. They spent the whole day playing around, soon night had come and it was about time to go home.
"Kid, you can't just leave like this, I'm about to teach you my trump card"
"Trump Card?"
"Two simple words, Ferris wheel. Imagine it, you two alone, the beautiful sunset ahead of you. There's no better time or place to seal the deal"
Cain agreed with Oldman Belmon's thinking, and decided to give it a try.
"Miren, there's one last ride I'd like to try before we go. The Ferris wheel"
"I've also wanted to try that!"
The two bought a ticket on got onto the ride. They soon reached the top, and the entire world was right ahead of them. The sun was slowly setting and the sky kept getting darker. Cain moved a little closer to Miren, and slipped his hand over hers. The two turned heads and looked at one another. Their lips got closer and closer, and finally touched.
