Back Home

When he arrived at the University, he went to his professor to report and after some small talk and explaining he was let go. He directly went to his classroom for his classes and started another boring day. Most classes are all about theories in designing, laws and history. The designing projects will probably start by next month and by then he'll be able to draw again.

With his Fortitude Stat at 25 points, he was able to understand and remember all of his classes and the books he read. Studying was easier than ever that he doesn't have to exert any more effort. His classmates also started approaching him, being friendly and asking him about his well-being and also some questions about the different parts of the lesson that they don't understand. He doesn't know if it's the Charm or Fortitude but most of those approaching him are the girls and just some of them are the boys. Being the one with the mind of an old person, he just treat the girls and the boys the same, keeping the right distance to not be too friendly but also not be an unapproachable type.

After school, he visited the High School Building, and sat on his spot while waiting for Karin to go home. He wants to approach her already but he doesn't know how. While waiting he was thinking on what to do to approach Karin, he's eager to ask how she's doing and get to know the Karin in this parallel world. He smiled reminiscing the time they first started to talk and get to know each other.

It was raining lightly at that time and Karin doesn't have an umbrella with her at that time, while Ben has his flowery umbrella open, meeting between her stop and the gate, he asked her to join in his umbrella which she gladly accepted, thankful for the help and even kidding with him, "you have one nice umbrella, and with flowers as design too" she said slightly laughing at my umbrella. "It's not mine. It's the umbrella of my sister." Ben said slightly shy from her teasing. That was their very first conversation then they exchanged phone numbers and started getting to know each other.

"It's not even raining." Ben closed his eyes while racking his brain. He laughed at himself after a while, his mind is already so old but he's still as clumsy as ever when it comes to Karin. 'Let's just leave it to fate.' he thought, while shaking his head with a smile. It would be better if he's already an established farmer when they finally get to "meet" so he can guarantee that she will be safe and happy by his side.

"Cheska how's the day, any news?" asks Ben as he opened the door of his house. "Welcome home Master! The day has been a quiet one, no visitors and no calls. What would you like to eat for dinner Master?" Cheska asks. "uhh, just whip something up from the ingredients available at home, make something light. And Cheska, you can just call me Ben. Calling me Master gives me goosebumps! If someone were to hear you calling me Master, they might assault me." Ben joked. "Changing the call from Master to Ben… Confirmed."

/How come when I'm calling you Master, you don't get goosebumps?/ Yue asks curiously.

"But Yue, I'm the only one who can hear you, no one else. It won't cause me trouble to hear you calling me master." Ben replied.

After dinner, Ben went to his study room for some advanced reading materials for his course and then freshens himself and went to sleep. Although he planned to sleep in, Ben still woke up at the usual time when he was exercising and so he did. Exercising isn't bad even if he knows his body is far from needing it. After his routine, his breakfast was already served. He passed his school days like yesterday, ending it with waiting for Karin then going home.

Ben went home early at Deepwell Village during the weekend to talk about his plans for the future to his family. And also the business deal to his father. Arriving at their house and parking his car, he already saw his mother tending her small garden, "I'm home Mom!" said Ben. His mother hugged him and said "Welcome home, did you have your breakfast already?"

"Yeah Mom, I had it on the way here, by the way, where's Jace and Jona?"

"It's the weekend, of course they're still sleeping." replied his mother while they went inside the house. "I haven't seen you for just two weeks and you look different now."

"Really? How come I didn't notice? In what way am I different?" asks Ben nervously, thinking if there's something amiss with his current look.

"There's not much change outside but inside, I think you had a more steady temper now and more charisma. And of course I'll notice your change, I'm your Mom mind you, I'm all seeing when it comes to my kids." his Mom replied proudly, with chins up.

"I know Mom, you're the best! I'm gonna go wake Jace up, I'm so busy at school I'm missing a lot of gaming time. See you later Mom!" Ben said while running away from his "all seeing" mother, afraid she might even see the system.

Opening the door of Jace's room, Ben jumped on his bed. "Hey Jace, wake up! I saw this new racing game online, let's play it!"

"Brother, let me sleep, it's only 9 am!" Jace said grumpily. "What do you mean 9 am? It's already half past 10 my good brother, come on, let's play!" Ben wrestled Jace while making a pleading voice like a kid asking for candy.

"OK, I'm up, I'm up, download the game, make sure to pay for its subscription for both of us WITH your money!" Jace said while dragging his body to the bathroom and making sure he won't pay a single cent for the game.

Ben laughed hearing this but agreed with him. Both siblings played all day, racing against other people, racing with just the two of them and accumulating in-game currency to upgrade their vehicles for more advanced parts.

His father went home before dinner and checked – up on them on Jace's room. "Welcome home Dad! I thought you're having an overtime work in the office?" Ben asks.

"Nah, I ask my secretary to finish up and left him. I'm interested in what you wanted to talk about so I made time to hear it, finish up your game then both of you go down and let's have dinner first." said his father.

"Ok Dad, and thanks." Ben gratefully said, knowing how packed his father's schedule is.

Ben and Jace finished their race, then went to the dining room together to join their family for dinner.
