TELL ME DEAR RING

It was an exhausting day for Leah. Running a company was definitely not an easy task. Dealing with the cunning and deceiving board members was even more mentally exhausting. She had to put up with their lies for now. But she wouldn't let them go for cheating right under her nose. She had a large scale spring cleaning to do. The good news was that the meeting with the CEO of LT Group went better than expected. Soon she would expand her operations in country C.

Leah was back to her apartment late in the evening. She showered and carried out her beauty regime. She tried to fall asleep but she could not despite her being extremely exhausted. She decided to brew herself some tea and head to the study.

In the study, all the lights were switched off except for the table lamp that lit the room, though inadequately. A lot of things were going on in her mind. But what really weighed on her mind was the incident with Chairman Zheng. They both seemed to have known each other and it was definitely not a business like acquaintance.

'The past can be left behind but not forgotten. There should be a way to recollect everything.' She though as she rubbed her finger over the Third Eye.

"Tell me dear ring", Leah whispered faintly. In that moment she had flashbacks of various images playing in her mind; too quick to discern anything. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on those images. And then after exhausting a lot of effort a scene played out in her mind. It was the scene when she met Chairman Zheng outside the on the streets which housed many famous restaurants and cafes. He was well dressed in luxury brands but was definitely distressed about something.

Since she was evidently in good mood due to the previous meeting, she decided to help the man out. After conversing with him she found out that he was from the same birth country as her. And so she was more than delighted to help him out. Besides he was a fun person.

The flashback ended there. Leah was feeling a mix of emotions. Happy and excited because something incredulous unveiled before her and that too so unexpectedly. Something she knew that was otherworldly. She also realized that just asking a question would do the job. The statement "Ask and you shall receive" was well applied here. "Why in the world did I not think of it earlier?" she sighed. It looked like the high IQ and the genius that she was known for was slowly degrading due to her amnesia.

But then she was also wondering if she did not have any self-awareness. She was definitely reckless to just strike up a conversation with a stranger. Besides she certainly did not see Wu Chen around her in the memories that played earlier.

"Well today was quite a roller-coaster as well. With the way things are going, I definitely don't need to go find some other source of entertainment." She said looking at the ring and then the night view through the floor to ceiling window. Soon she was lost in her thoughts.

In these past few days a lot had happened to her. And Leah had to go through it all alone. She had Wu Chen by her side but she still felt lonely. Besides he was practically a stranger to her now. No matter how good his intention were or how close they were in the past, she was still uncomfortable in confiding to him about many things.

There were many instances where she just wanted to just cry, to let go. But then there were many people whose lives depended on her. And then there was Laura. What the girl faced was definitely more terrible.

What she needed right now was someone to lean on ,she wanted to blame someone, vent he anger and frustrations but then that would not solve anything. If it were anyone else, they probably would have gone crazy by now or would have stopped fighting. But she could not stop. Leah had to go on. For the sake of her new life and all those who loved and cared for her.

After she cleared out her messy thoughts, Leah let out an exhausted sigh and closed her eyes. She leaned back on the swivel chair and let the exhaustion take over. It did not take long for her to drift into dreamland.
