In planet Endar, days usually started with the rise of the yellow sun. As this was not seen as a sun in these generations, the true dawn was at the rise of the red sun. Similarly, at sun set the yellow sun would set first followed by the red sun. It was always quite a spectacle to see the suns rise and set, especially at such a time when they weren't both so high.
Pretty soon, the planet would drift further away from the yellow sun, and it would be totally eclipsed by it. The power of the lavels will be displayed in full majesty, but there was a downside.
The temperatures would plummet. It would become exceedingly cold. This was a cause for concern as the snowy conditions would be a detriment to the very wonderfully developing student Alie.
Kendar was putting special care and training him intently. On occasion, he would feign boredom and summon the boy. He would then take the time to teach him some skill or other. As a Grade F+, he had potential, but he needed to be groomed. He had to learn to take the Fire Elementary particles wherever he could.
While Kendar, one of Dane's consciousness thought about it, another was seated on a cloud at gathering dusk, watching the suns set. He was planning on being naughty. In order for the main event to be displayed to its majesty, he would intentionally add a little something in the mix. It wouldn't necessarily favor anyone, but, what a sight it'll be.
Since her victory, Krea hadn't been able to step 2 feet away from her mom, who was doting over her like a treasure. In truth, the mother had had a gut wrenching ordeal watching her daughter fight that monster.
When the fight was over, she wailed in relief, joy, peace and of course, pride! Her Daughter, her tiny daughter had done something so momentous. They had been overlooked, written off, forgotten. A tool for pleasure. Now, that beautiful wonderful amazing ... she was running out of adjectives to describe her daughter. A mother's pride welded deep within her.
Her father was overwhelmed with shock, and pride. Who would have thought that he'd produce that. Bragging that he always saw greatness in her, he took her around the who's who in the settlement and indeed in the region, as they were all gathered here for the festival.
Husna couldn't help rolling his eyes as he watched the man with pride, but she knew her place. If she wanted to remain relevant in Krea, her daughter's life, she had to play the part. So she nodded along and went on with the hypocrisy, for the love of the daughter. She could feel the stain of shame that had been her reality for so long washing off. She would sometimes just look at her daughter and begin weeping.
However, she still had a course for concern, at that was because of who her opponent would be tonight. All the joy and wonders she had felt seemed to be yanked away from her, and it was as though it was done by design.
In some way, it had been. Due to the nature of the sport, the spectators demanded t be entertained. There were the top teams, the ones deemed fit and destined to take the top rankings. Then there were the weaker teams, the ones that seemingly stood no chance.
For maximum effort, the lavels usually had the really top teams challenge the weaker teams in the earlier days, as a way of eliminating any chance. Only if that small team or squad could prove itself did it earn the qualifications to be a spectacle in the latter days.
A squad would be eliminated after more than 5 consecutive defeats. Remember, each squad had to face off against each other, hence each squad would fight 32 games before the final count was done, and then the top squads would be picked based on performance.
Just to remind you, a team was the entire group of heroes from the clan, while the squad was the group of three that fought together.
Usually, Badoo's clan was among the weaker ones. They stood no chance, and since this was a small settlement where most knew each other, they understood the fight capabilities very well. They had judged his clan and found wanting. Badoo was brimming with pride, or had been. Now, he was a little worried.
At the start, he had wanted to team up his stars together, these were Bamboo, Hasilo and Maple. However, by some strange circumstance, he had been overruled. Each had their own squad. Many had criticized his decision, as they believed he, as the clan head, was the one making the decisions. What they didn't know was that he actually agreed with them.
However, it soon dawned on everyone, himself included, that the reason why it had been done like this was that his top contenders really didn't need to carry each other. They would shine on their own, they had the qualifications to do so, and hence they did not need to support each other.
Many had felt such an attitude to be extremely arrogant, and they were secretly hoping it would backfire. To their shame, they, alongside many of their clan mates continued to obtain victory.
The weaker teams were usually done by Day 2, and Day 3 was meant to eliminate the mid teams, those that had a bit of a kick in them. That was why everyone expected Hasilo to win. Krea was meant to be an easy victory for Hasilo, ending her cycle of 5 consecutive losses.
This was the reason she was so pissed. It was all so orchestrated and set up for her to lose, but she ended up overturning the tables in a way that was absolutely clear that it was a victory. Now she had broken her losing cycle, essentially qualifying to be among the greats.
The unspoken rule of qualifying to the 5th and final day was to make it to the 4th day. Here, every fight that would take place consisted of the greats. Bruna's power fists and Brom's absolute strength were to be tested. The line up was absolutely crazy, all the captains and top contenders would be tested, and the very best would take part in the final fight.
This was the line up for the 4th day by the squad leaders
Lisha Vs Khalia
Brom Vs Hasilo
Hasel Vs Maple
Julio Vs Ajax
Youfan Vs Halio
and of course...
Bamboo Vs Krea
As the suns were setting, excitement that had built up couldn't be contained.
Each of these heroes had awakened an ability, and they had proven that they deserved to be here. There was no fight that could be missed, especially not the last one. The fight to content for top dog had just begun.
One of the most amazing thing was that Bamboo's team had produced 4 teams, while others just had one. Of each team, the match up had been just right. Each one facing someone they matched so well.
All this was as a result of the crowd's demand. Oh what a spectacle it would be.

One of the things that Faction Protector's didn't lack at all were wealth and resources. Due to their duties in the universe, they were well provided for by the factions. Even the top leadership would hire them once in a while when they needed their assistance.
Lord Jason stood supreme as a god who had his own private planetary system. Though he didn't have a private solar system, he had bought an inhabitable planet from one of the senior gods who owned solar system. This was a common occurrence especially for those who wished to reach the very top.
There was really only one currency worth mentioning for those at the very top. Power, and the means to get it. The prime resource was known as the Luminary Crystal. Everyone desired this naturally occurring gem.
It couldn't be synthesized, but, it could be cultivated.
For those with absolute power, that possessed the might and glory to become Grade S supers, they could take on the title of God as they were deemed to have attained Godhood. As such, they were allowed to take on a planetary civilization as a deity to be worshiped.
Although there were many advantages for a god to be worshiped, many of which neither Kedan nor Dane knew many since they did not qualify to do so. Yet, one of the few that they knew, that actually mattered to them, was that the worship of mortals usually led to growth of Luminary crystals.
One of the key features of Luminary crystals that grew this way was that they were oriented towards those whom they were grown for. A Luminary crystal acted as a power boost of astronomical proportions.
The Luminary crystal was a light blue octahedron shaped crystal that was slightly glowing. At full size, it had a diameter of about a meter. In geometry, an octahedron is a polyhedron with eight faces, twelve edges, and six vertices. In short, a 3D octagon.
The magical thing about these crystals was that even after they were broken down, they still retained their solid feature.
When absorbed, it was akin to swallowing a mini sun. It would massively boost the individual's performance to such a high degree. To put it in perspective. If Bamboo was to consume it, he would instantly shoot from a Grade F+ to a Grade D, and even after the initial wearing off, he would, going forward, be at Grade E+.
The effects were less visible as one rose up in ranks, for instance Dane would have to consume 3 full size Luminary crystals to eve shift from where he was, a Grade B to a Grade B+.
3 may seem small, but to cultivate one, it required continued worship by mortals for over a millennium. The bigger the area, the larger the crystal that would be formed. The purer the worship, the more intense the power contained therein.
As a prime commodity, there were gods that actively farmed these crystals as crops. Some even had multiple solar systems that worshiped them. However, there was one problem. These crystals belonged to the farmer, anyone who tried to absorb them would be rejected, and could even be harmed.
There were therefore those that specialized in processing the crystals for those gods that wished to sell them, and they would be hired at very high prices. Similarly, cutting the crystal required expert work, as a simple mistake could ruin an entire crystal. An entire millennium wasted, even a god would feel the loss.
As such, the processors specialized in clearing the loyalty contained in the crystals, making them consumable to anyone. They would then split them into multiple small sizes of standard size. The absolute currency of the entire universe was the 1/20th of a Luminary crystal. It was known as the pound, for that was how much it weighed.
These items were absolutely valuable to the Supers, for they served as power ups and cheats to boost one's power. They were not easily traded. This was one of the reasons why mortals were favored or even treated with respect by immortals, who would otherwise trample on them.
Great God Jason was one such farmer. Trouble had been brewing in his world, and while he could have just struck, he chose a much more appealing option available in his faction. The Faction had Faction protectors who could be hired to stoke the fire, keep it going, instead of just extinguishing them altogether.
At the price of 4 pounds per millennium, Kedan went in the planet at full Dive. 10 millennia earned him 40 pounds. He didn't know how long he'd been gone though, but in real time, it had been 10 millennia. He was quite delighted by his harvest. It would be good currency to use in searching his Big Bro's verification.
