Lucia Ricci's POV
"So, what brought you here?" Celine asked me as she was popping some fries into her mouth. I looked at the goons that were attacking us earlier before they were being sent to the infirmary.
"Well, I have something in my head that Dr. Sean Copper was trying to understand," I said as I was popping some fries as well.
"What about you?" I asked her as she was smirking at me.
"Well, I was having some issue up there as well," she said as she tapped her temple. I nodded at her. Now, I wanted to know if Sean treated her as well.
"Who's the doctor that treats you?" I asked as she was looking at me. Her forehead was wrinkling as if she was trying to remember the name.
"I don't remember," she said honestly as I can see it on her face. Relief left my body as I was wondering if Sean was double-timing treating me and other patients.
Wait, why was I concerned if he had anyone else or not?
"Okay, so what we did back there was legal right? I mean we were self-defencing ourselves," Celine said as she was chomping down on the apple.
"Totally," I said before we looked at the warden that was watching us like a hawk.
I was being stupid and paranoia was not on my list. I need to get tough so I rolled my eyes at him before I told Celine to get the fuck out of here.
"So, any chance I might know who is your doctor?" I said as we were walking to set our trays away.
"Well, I've just arrived yesterday and they did not assign me yet. So, maybe after the succession with your case, maybe I will get one," she said happily.
So, I was a nut case after all, and an experiment to see if Sean's method was a success. I nodded at her before I went to the door and the guard was waiting for me to take me to my prison.
"Well, it was nice meeting you, Celine,"
"And you, Lucia. Hope we will see each other again," she said before her guard took her away. I followed mine as I was so lost in thoughts that I did not hear the guard has closed the door behind me.
"I see that you were contemplating in your thoughts, my dear," the familiar voice and that scent of his were filling my nose. I smirked as I know that he would come here, sooner or later. I would not think it would be sooner.
"Well, look who decided to show up unannounced," I said as I turned to look at Sean. He was drinking some tea that he had brought with him while he was waiting for me. If you guys did not know, this guy was English at its core.
"So, is this an official visit or just one of your social calls?" I asked as I was gritting my teeth. Not that I was hungry or anything but rather annoyed that I was being intruded by him in my space.
"Social calls? If I wanted sex, I would have called someone else, I would rather kill myself than lay with you, Lucia," he said as he was staring at me. I scoffed at him before I shook my head.
"Well, that's a first for you to say no to me," I said as I went to plop myself on the bed. I was looking at him and smiled before he put down his tea on the table.
"I am here to fulfill my duty to our deal," he said as he was looking at me before he crossed his knees. So much for being Englishman at its best.
"Well, why would you be interested in that now?" I asked him as I was looking at him, trying to figure out his angle but I think I was being overthought again. He chuckled.
"Well, we both know the implication of the drug in your body. You constantly need sex. Or if I was being bold, you craved them," he said as he was looking at me with those grey eyes. They were haunting as I was trying to calm my nerves around him.
"Well, I am tired so I would not wish to be in that action right now," I said as I was waiting for him to go. He did not stir in his seat.
"Well, perhaps if I help you—"
"No, that would be unnecessary. I want to be alone, so please be a gentleman and let me rest in peace," I said as I turned my back on him. He was quiet for a moment before he stood up from the seat as it creaked against the floor.
"Very well, Ms. Ricci," his professional self was here now. I breathed in as I know how much I hated it when people were being formal to me.
"Have a good rest then," he said as he went to the door before it closed behind him.
"And you too as well, Sean," I said before a tear was sliding down my face and I don't even realize that I was crying.
Celine Lebrun's POV
Dinner last night was great, I get to make new friendships as I was trying to search for tables. It turned out that I was meeting the notorious scientist, Lucia Ricci. I know her, ever since she discovered the drug that can help us to be stronger and powerful.
"Ms. Lebrun?" I jerked in my cell as I turned to look at the violet eyes that were staring at me. I don't even know that human eyes can be so beautiful. I never have seen anything like it before.
"Yes?" I asked as I was trying to figure out this man who was standing in front of me, in my cell no less.
"Hi, I will be your assigned doctor for your treatment. My name is Simone Laverte. I just wanted to say hi to you before we start your treatment tomorrow," he said as he was smiling at me, his violet eyes were wrinkling at the end.
"Laverte, isn't that French surname? Are you French, Simone?" I asked as I stepped forward to the bars that were separating me and him. He chuckled at my question as he shook his head.
"No, I'm afraid only my lineage was French. But I was born and raised in Welsh, UK, ma'am," he said as he was looking at me. I curled my fingers around the bar as I was staring at him while smirking.
"Well, that's unfortunate. But I like it the fact that you still think that you have French bloodline in you," I purred as I see his face was red right now. He cleared his throat before he turned to leave me alone again.
"Right, well, I see you tomorrow then," he said as he was trying to leave.
"Please don't go yet. Why don't we get to know each other? It will help you to understand me better than afterward," I said as I was hoping that he would take the bait. If I can get him under my spell and allure, maybe he will do my bidding just how I wanted it to be.
Call me selfish but I don't think this young man will succumb easily to me. I smiled at that thought.
"Sorry, I have other works that were keeping me from staying here with you. As much as I wanted to know you better, ma'am—"
"Celine," I said as I was looking at him. He looked at me confused.
"Please, call me Celine. I hate it when people call me ma'am. It sounds like I am old then you but we might be the same age, right?" I said as I looked at him. He blushed again as his pale complexion was red and his eyes were shifted away from my body.
"Well, if you like," he mumbled.
"Then, can I call you Simone as well?" I said as I was batting my eyelashes at him.
