Chapter 9: The Wedding

I was breathing heavily when I was inside the car that we will be going to the small chapel on Spencer's parents' estate. If I don't know any better, they own a pharmaceutical company and that was why Spencer's a doctor. They run in the family.

I was looking at the countryside that was all greenery before I played the game that I used to play when I was bored.

"Sheep,"

"House,"

"Tree,"

"Bridge," I said quietly before Spencer was taking my hand and kissed it. He put it on his well-muscular thigh that I know he was all muscle and all.

"Nervous?" He asked me before I turned to look at his grey eyes. His auburn hair was glistening in the sunlight as he was smiling at me while he was focusing on the road.

"A little. It has been far too long to meet them," I said as I was rubbing my temple. I don't know who was the mastermind of the amnesia pill but it was not that good and I have some side effects that I will do great without it.

"All will be answered, my love," he said before he was stopping in front of the gate. I looked at the mansion that was on the mountain and it was ominous. I don't know why I felt like this was not all it was. I think something was more than our wedding was at large.

"Hi, it's me," Spencer said in the intercom before the gate opened and we were inside the house as Spencer drove to the front door of the large mansion. I felt the dread of this right away.

"Relax. They have been anticipating your return," he said as he got out of the car before he went to my side and opened the door. I took his hand and I was looking at him. He smiled before he gestured to the mansion.

"Welcome home, Olivia," he said before I was gripping his hand as we were walking to the front door.

"Where is she? I demand to see her now!"

"Calm down, they will be here,"

"Open the door this instant," said the same voice before the door burst and I was standing still in the moment. The memory was coming crushing at me as I was playing around this estate and I saw the four adults were stopping in their walks. They were looking at me before Spencer introduced me to them.

"Mum, Dad, Aunt Celine, Uncle Simone, Olivia's finally home," he said before my mum and dad came toward me and hugged me.

"Thank God. I have been worried,"

"My God, my daughter," I heard them whispered as I was taking in their scent. The scent of familiarity, home. I am finally home. Then my dam broke.

"Mum? Dad? God, I missed you so much!" I said as I was hugging them before I looked at Spencer who was hugging his parents before he was looking at me over the shoulder.

'Thank you,' I mouthed him as he winked at me. I smiled before my parents broke the hug and we were rushing into the house.

"We cannot delay anymore, we must get you married and change your identity immediately," my mum said before aunt Lucy was smirking at me.

"I hope you will not growl after this. Besides, I know Spencer can tame you,"

"Mum!" Spencer's face was all red before I laughed at their banters. How much I loved this. This familiarity, this normalcy. It's all came to me and I know that I finally belong.

Home.

The wedding was simple. We were at the chapel right now as I was standing in front of Spencer when the priest was reading some nonsense of the holy matrimony. All I wanted to do was kiss Spencer senselessly and get this over with already.

"Do you, Olivia Laverte, take this man, Spencer Copper, to cherish and love, in sickness in health, in rich and poor, until death do us apart?" He asked before I was smiling at Spencer. His grey eyes were gleaming at me.

"I DO,"

"Do you, Spencer Copper, take this man, Olivia Laverte, to cherish and love, in sickness in health, in rich and poor, until death do us apart?" He asked Spencer before he was smiling at me. I can sense that my breath was being held.

"I DO,"

"By the power that has rested on me by the Queen of England and the government of UK, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," he said as I was pulling Spencer as I wound my hands around his neck and we were claiming each other kiss. It has been yesterday that we shared a bed but I felt like it has been forever.

"Okay, now that this part over, Lucy," Sean, Spencer's dad was handing me something. I read it and it was the changing of the name fill out.

"What's this?" I asked them before them and I think I need to make sure that I know what I was getting into.

"It is for your safety. The world doesn't need to know that Olivia Laverte is alive. But Olivia Copper was never been introduced before," aunt Lucy was wiggling her eyebrows at me. I laughed at her innuendo before I turned to look at Spencer.

"What do you think, husband?" I asked before our parents were staring at us. Spencer sighed before he was eyeing the papers. I know his dilemma. We have known each other since we were children and to change the names after the wedding, it was something important.

"Can we at least think about it?" Spencer asked our parents before my father spoke.

"It could not hurt for them to think it over. Besides, we will be going to the city hall next Monday after all,"

"It settled then. You have until tomorrow to give it a go and then you have to send in the new name that you guys both agreed upon," uncle Sean said before we nodded.

"Now, shall we celebrate?" My mother asked before we were getting out of the chapel and right now I just wanted to be with Spencer but knowing our parents that like to meddle, we might have to give them some time before we can retire for the evening.

"So, Simone, tell me you still not working on that theory the last time I saw you," uncle Sean asked my father as they were walking side by side with our mothers doing the same thing.

"I think it was a wonderful thing. I read all about it and I think it would be wise to send it for peer review," aunt Lucy said before my mother laughed.

"Knowing Simone, I don't think he would,"

"Honey, we talk about this," my father retorted before my mother was smiling at him. I was fascinated to look at their banters like they were getting along quite well. I turned to look at Spencer as he was deep in thoughts.

"Penny for your thought?" I asked him before I turned to look at him. He smiled as he was pushing me under his arms.

"I don't know. Maybe you can read my mind already," he said before I arched my eyebrow.

"Will I like it?" I asked. He chuckled.

"Definitely," he said before we got inside the car and off to the mansion as a wedded couple.
