Chapter 3: My Dream

I was so exhausted that day. Troops from different camps gathered in our base to strategize for the coming war. They brought many arms such as guns, bullets, and grenades.There are also some jets carrying missiles because Japan has a huge force against us.

I slept peacefully because of tiredness but I had a dream. "Wow! This place is so beautiful", I exclaimed as I visualize tall buildings and different kinds of cars in my dream.

I saw a beautiful lady with a long brown hair. I stared at her angel-like face. She walks closer to me. She grabs my hand. "Lucas please don't leave me.", she said while crying.

"You promised me that you'll make it up to me right? But why are you leaving?", she asked me. She's trembling while holding my right hand and her tears keeps on falling.

I want to comfort her but I can't move and I don't know why. There's a part of me that's is longing to hug her. I dont know why but it hurts me a lot seeing her cry. I am about to move but I heard a noise.

"Lucas Timothy wake up! We are going to be late again!", Jonas shouted. Oh it's just a dream. My pillows are somehow wet. Did I cry because of my dream?

I get off of the bed and quickly wore my uniform and watch.

We are now at the field. Many soldier tried to exchange for my watch but I disagreed to them.

When the watch is in my wrist, my confidence ascends. I don't know why it happened but I feel that there is a special connection between me and the watch.The watch is waterproof and stainless. It also brought luck for me and for Jonas.

Everytime I wear it, trainings become easier for the both of us so I am very thankful that my grandfather gave me a remembrance like that.

Time is getting shorter as the days pass before the war.

I remembered that grandpa told me that there's a golden button on the watch that can take someone to extraordinary places. I went to the barrack and grabbed the wristwatch.

It is hard to find the button because the watch is made with pure gold. I checked every part of the watch then I saw a black part and finally found the button.

I will try to find out if what grandpa said is true. Should I press it or not? Hmm nothing is wrong if I try. I slowly press the button. I felt so dizzy. Everything is blurry and spinning. Everything went black.
