A few moments later, Chelsea heard nothing more but silence. After all the load of bullcrap, this so-called transmigrator prompt disappeared just as suddenly as it appeared. What was she supposed to do now?

She was always one of those who adapted quickly. The first thing to do: gather information.

She quickly turned her head from left to right, her sight glancing at the surrounding trees and bushes. She dragged herself backward and leaned on a nearby trunk, she mumbled frustratingly, "Where in the world am I?"

She took account of her self and checked for any severe injuries. While stretching out her limbs, she slowly rotated each of them and assessed for any disability. Wincing in pain, her body didn't seem to suffer from any fracture.

Next, she had to see if she could move. Bracing herself against the tree trunk, she brought herself to stand. She gasped in pain as soon as she put her weight on her left leg. Yep. No fracture but a minor sprain to her left ankle. At least, she hoped it was but a minor sprain.

Slowly, while taking the weight off her left leg, she tried to take small steps and start to look for any shelter. It was quickly becoming dark, and the forest was home to a lot of beasts!

Nope! She didn't want to be the person who transmigrated to become cat food or dog food! If this was a second life, she wanted to be the one to eat the food and not the other way around.

Her mind raced with thoughts of possible beasts that might attack her. A bear, a tiger, a snake, or even a mountain lion. If she knew that she will transmigrate, she would have invested in wildlife journals and documentaries. Heck, she should've invested in anything to do with Wildlife Survival!

What did she even know about poisonous mushrooms? Basic hunting? Or even fishing!? She wanted to cry out from this great injustice! She was just a regular staff nurse in a hospital! She wasn't some kind of doctor that also studied traditional medicine! She wasn't even someone with excellent military background! Even their High School opted out of basic military training and instead chose social and community services!

Suddenly the bushes right in front of her shook. She trembled in fear. Is it a bear!? Or just a rabbit? What if it was a snake!? She didn't want to die yet! She whimpered.

Light flashed and blinded her eyes for a moment. Goddamn it! Don't tell me its a magical bear!!??

"Ms. Chelsea?" A gruff voice huffed in concern. "The school excursion is underway, are you alright? We have been looking for all the students in the accident. Thank God we found you! You're the last of the group... eh? Are you okay? You didn't injure your head, did you? We must take you to the infirmary right away! What if you also injured your mana core!? The tragedy! Come along Ms. Chelsea."

Chelsea was gobsmacked, her lips shaped into an "O", as she stared at the hulking mass in front of her. She would have mistaken him as a large bear if not for the distinct clothes he was wearing. He stood beyond 6 feet with a shiny egg-head, a fierce claw-shaped scar marred his right cheek.

A silver armor was plated on his torso. A halberd, as tall as him, was grasped in his right hand. And, a shield with a similar size to her head rested in the opposite wrist. Everything about him screamed knight in a medieval era. Well, he was almost a knight in the medieval times if not for the glaring orb of light floating between them.

Most importantly, what the hell was a mana core!?

The bear squinted at her, and uttered softly, "Oh, pardon me, Ms. Chelsea. As a student of Sigma University on your first field excursion, you wouldn't have encountered knights such as I. Allow me to introduce myself."

The sound of metal clanked in the forest as the man click his boots and took an effortless bow, and said, "Flavio DeMerci at your service. Sigma University has hired our Mercenary squad to act as additional security for its students. Please follow me back to your camp, as the forest can be dangerous at night. The first days are always full of surprises. I believe you have passed the initial test since you didn't activate your recall charm."

Of course, it wouldn't be activated, this body died... wait a minute. This guy seemed to be calling her name correctly. She had a nagging suspicion. She coughed, and slightly stuttered, "Sir Flavio, if-if you d-don't mind, can you please identify my full name? I believe the school would have provided our roster."

She was taking a gamble right here! What if this was some kidnapping scheme!? She was moving blind, without any memories from this body. Wasn't there supposed to be a flood of information to my mind right after transmigration!?

"A cautious mind indeed from one the youngest geniuses in Sigma," Sir Favio chuckled. With a wave of his hand, a scroll materialized in thin air, as if he had an invisible shelf beside him. Is this the so-called magic storage? Chelsea wondered as she waited for information and watch Sir Favio skim through the scroll. "Aha, here we are. Chelsea Hawthorne, fourteen years old, female, omega. Admitted at the age of thirteen. Ranked 7th among first years in Sigma. Of course, you might also want to check the scroll, as this is an official document."

Chelsea reached out and took the scroll gingerly. As quickly as she could, she scanned the document for some information. Indeed she was there, on number seven, and there were exactly one hundred students on the list.

Written on the topmost portion of the scroll was the name Sigma Univerisity in a majestic style that looked like a phoenix soaring the sky. It also said, Orion City, Empire of Vitas. August 2179 Year of Vitas. She might have already adopted the possibility of transmigrating, but, it felt like someone doused her with freezing water. On the list was a smattering of words of Alpha, Beta, and Omega!

Did she transmigrate to a magical-medieval caste-system world!? Why was she even an omega!?

Damn transmigration routine! Why wasn't she a beta instead!?
