Chapter 14

Hitting the ground with a thud Raiden felt pain all over his body. There wasn't a place on his bady that didn't feel as if it was on fire, and now having his right eye taken from him his perception of the room was off. Deciding that it was best to stay where he was he heard a crash from a little ways away from him. Using almost the last of his strength Raiden turned to see that the tube that was housing the Byakugan eye fell that's to one of the trees that grew he started thinking to himself even with the pain in head 'could I use that eye even though im not a Hyuga... I don't care fuck it worse case I die in this shity place.' Using all his well power Raiden craled over to the eye, and after sometime he made it to the eye. Taking it Raiden put it in his right eye socket, and with a squash the Byakugan was in. With the last of his chakra Raiden used what little medical-ninjutsu he knew to heal it, and soon he passed out as he heard someone calling his name.

With Anko runnong at top speed towards where Oormi and Yakumo where she noticed the lack of noise and all the doors in the hallway where all opened. Seeing all the blood soaked walls making Anko grimace thinking about what the sight may have done to the girls. Opened the last door Anko saw there defeted oppenent, but she didn't care about her as she saw Yakumo kneeled over Oormi trying to stop the bleeding on her stomach. Rushing over she pushed over Yakumo taking over medical treatment.

"Is this the only wound?" Anko said looking over the wound, and slowing down and eventually stopping the bleeding.

"I think her shoulder is dislocated sensei. I just have some straches and a few brusies. Nothing serious since Oormi was taking the brunt of the attacks." Yakumo said looking a down at the fact she couldn't do fight beside her friend.

"If you hate how you are right now then change to protect your team, and better yourself." Anko said poping Oormi shoulder back into place. Bitting her thumb Anko summoned a small blue snake and wrote a message to send the medical-cor to meet them on there way back. The snake poofed away leaving Anko, Yakumo, and Oormi who was up but leaning against Yakumo for support. It was then that they heard a scream and they knew who it was from.

"RAIDEN!!!" Oormi, Anko, and Yakumo said. Anko rushed off leaving both of them as she used all her speed to get to Raiden. Running down the middle hallway she came upon the last door which from the report Raiden gave her sometime ago is the lab, but seeing the door knocked off she had a bad feelin. Entering she sw a small forest had some how grown in there, and when she walked in calling Raiden's name she happened upon a tree that had a man in it. Looing like it grew from him.

Bending down she noticed the blood on the floor, placing her finger in it, and tasting it she knew it was Raiden's.

"All this blood but no body." Anko said when she noticed a trail, looking at it it looks someone dragged a bloody body 'damn Raiden please be alive.' Anko thought following the trail and came found Raiden laying in pool of his own blood.

"Oh kami no." Anko said in horror as she went to check for a pluse, and luckily it was there but weak. Knocking off the things from a table Anko gently laid Raiden down to look over his wounds. Seeing most of damage was the slice on his chest Anko ripped off his shirt and mesh armour and saw how bad it was. The gash was across his body from shoulder to hip and still bleeding. She went to work on healing what she could, and she was just stopping the bleeding Oormi and Yakumo walked in.

"Where is he Anko-sensei?" Oormi said in a worried voice.

"Over here. His hurt pretty bad, and honestly I don't have enough knowledge to fully heal him. For a short distance travel yes, but if we run out of blood pills he'll bleed out." Anko explained.

Going over to Raiden Oormi started have tears in her eye's she has never seen Raiden in such a state before, and it was geeting to her, but she knew she had to be strong for him right now. 'Don't you fucking die on my Raiden' Oormi thought. She noticed the blood on his right eye and brought it Anko's attention. Opening Raiden's eyelid she sucked in a breath.

"W-w-why does he have a Byakugan eye?" Anko said still looking at the Byakugan in her students right eye.

"Remember he said he found one in some type of test tube. Maybe her inplanted it after something happened to his eye. We'll ask him when he get's up." Oormi said.

(The Hoakges Office)

Sarutobi was laying back havin just finished the bane of all Kage smoking from his pipe when a blue snake carrying a pouch on it back came up his desk. Knowing that it belonged to Anko the Hoakge took the scroll and began to read it. Soon he stood up called one of his anbu Neko to put a retrevial team together, gave her Anko's teams location, and sent her on her way. Standing u and going to the window looking at the growing grey clouds Sarutobi thought 'Please be ok Raiden. I don't have the heart to face your father if you died'

After blowing up the hideout Anko summoned Mia and had her carry her team. Feeding Raiden blood pills every 30 minutes so he wouldn't bleed out, and having Yakumo place Oormi in a genjutsu to ease her pain and get her to sleep. After a half a day of travel and neither Oormi or Raiden waking up Anko had Mia stop so they could set up camp and change there bandages. Mia's time was up and left so Anko knew they couldn't travel by foot it would move Oormi and Raiden too much.

Having just removed Raiden and Oormi bandages Anko and Yakumo heard barking. Yakumo got up and in a defensive stance, but since Ankoknew who it was she had Yaumo stand down. Coming in the clearing was three dogs and Hana Inuzuka along with Yugao who was till in anbu attire. Hana has long brown hair which she wears in a ponytail with two locks of hair framing her face over her large, black eyes. She also wears a light shade of lipstick and has the traditional fang-like tattoos of the Inuzuka clan on both of her cheeks, in addition to a tattoo on her upper right arm that resembles a flower. She wearing a brace on her left wrist, bracelets on her right hand as well as bandages and usually wears the beige Konoha medic uniform, and as soon as she and other medical ninja come into the clearing she goes to Raiden as he's in the worst condition of the two.

(Leaf Village Hospital)

Opening his eye since the other is still covered Raiden is meet with a bright light, and as he tries to set up pain assult his whole body, and he hears. "You should stay laying down Raiden." Looking over to where the voice came from and he saw the Hokage sitting down.

"How is every one sensei?" Raiden said turning his head back, looking at the ceiling.

"You had the worst injuries with six cracked ribs, a deep slash wound from your left shoulder to your right hip, a collapsed lung, a puncture wound on your left thigh, a mild concussion, and your right eye of course. Oormi has two cracked ribs and a deep puncture wound trough her stomach. Yakumo had some straches with some mild bruises nothing serious. Oormi recovery time is 2 months. As for yours even with more serious injuries it should take you about one month given your bodies gifts." Sarutobi said with a deep sigh, greatful that he pulled through.

"That's good. Everyones alive... Can we get some privacy sensei?" Raiden asked feeling the anbu around them, but he wanted to tell him about his new eye alone.

"Of course." the Hokage said while nodding and 4 anbu left them alone. Sarutobi also placed a privacy seal on the room.

Sensing that there alone Raiden pulled himself up so he was facing the Hokage and his back was turned from the window as he could feel that someone was spyig on them about 35 yards away. Taking off the bandage from his right eye and moving his hair away from his face he showed the Hokage his eye. Now instead of a deep red eye it was a featureless, with no visible pupil lavender tinted eye. Sarutobi knew it was the dojutsu the Byakugan from the Hyuga clan.

"I see. How did you get that eye Raiden. Anko already gave me the mission report, but I want it hear it from you." Sarutobi said getting a chair and sitting down. Raiden told him everything from the momment they touched down at the hideout from passing out. After telling him the story Raiden asked for his scroll holder, and after Sarutobi gave it to him Raiden unsealed one and gave the notes he found on the eye to him. Reading the notes Sarutobi sighed 'Im getting to old for this shit' he thought.

"Raiden you know we'll have to tell the Hyuga clan you have that eye right." Sarutobi said.

Putting the bandage over his eye Raiden got quiet thinking up a plan to keep the Byakugan , He knew the Hyuga would demand the eye back so the only way would be a seal. After thinking for a few minutes and as Sarutobi was going to speak again Raiden looked in his eyes.

" I want you to hold off a few day's frpm holding a council meeting. I knew you have to hold one to talk about what we found at Orochimaru's hideout, but I need sometime to seal this eye so no one can take it from me." Raiden asked his sensei, looking him in the eye's showing the seriousness.

"I see. You have a plan then. Very well I can hold it off for five day's at the most under the excuise of needing time to go over what you found." Sarutobi said standing up from his chair. Just as he was about to release the privacy seal Raiden stopped him.

"Wait sensei. I need a eyepatch made from charka metal, but it has to big enough to hide the veins that'll bulge out from using my right eye." Raiden said.

"Very well. I'll have it by tomorrow afternoon." Sarutobi said leaving the room.

Anko was sitting at a the bar that her team comes too to celerbrate a mission well done, but now she was drinking her worries about how close she came to losing her team from her old sensei's lab rats. Asking for another bottle of sake Hana, Kurenai, and Yugao came in knowing that there friend needed them right now. Sitting down on each side of Anko they looked concerned about the amount of sake bottles in front of her.

"So how are they?" Kurenai said looking at Anko.

Anko looked lazily at her friend and turned back to drinking, before she answered "There alive. Yakumo got a few bumps but nothing serious, Oormi got a couple craked ribs got a hand almost through her stomach, but Raiden had the worst." Anko pased taking a sip of her drink. When Kurenai heard that Raiden got worse than Oormi who had pretty bad injuries she unconsciously clenched her fists with worry, but it didn't go unnoticed by Yugoa who sitting next to her.

"How bad is he?" Kurenai asked as she, Yugoa, and Hana also had a drink with Anko. Tring to show there support.

"Raiden has six cracked ribs, a deep slash wound from his left shoulder to his right hip, a collapsed lung, a puncture wound on his left thigh, and a mild concussion." Anko answered not telling them about his new eye.

"There going to be fine. Why are you drinking so much Anko?" Hana said.

"I'm drinking because if I wasn't so weak I could have finished my fight and gone and help my students. That's why. I'm wondering if I should even be a sensei." Anko said with sadness in her voice.

Her friends looked at each other in concern since Anko never talked like that before. They understood seeing people that responsible for get hurt can haunt you but to say she should quite wasn't like Anko.

"Then get stronger. Pick up another skill Anko, maybe me or Hayate can teach you some swordplay." Yugao said.

"Maybe your right." Anko said looking into her drink.
